Robin's Love Poems: A Chapter Written Together

In our love story of us,
Every chapter written,
Shines brighter than the
first chapter,
When we write it together.

Robert James Liguori

There was a special carnival set in my memory
Rides, games, and food, cherished, and a prelude to our first kiss
And a second date where we watched Rambo: First Blood
But on that night, he held me in his arms dearly and lifted my spirits
Where the moon and stars looked down and smiled at us
And I remember passing a cow with big brown eyes
She proudly wore a blue ribbon garland around her neck
And as we exchanged glances, my eyes peered at my blue ribbon
He was standing right next to me, as the cow seemingly knew
As we closed the first chapter, the sights and sounds sing in my heart
Circus clowns, cotton candy lady, acrobats, and little kids playing
But it was my man, future husband, that my eyes were really on
Those blue jeans, long-sleeved white dress shirt, cowboy hat, paint that night
A true gentleman, he was, he handed a prize teddy bear to a little kid
Where the little girl clutched the brown furry one happily and beamed at mom
These montages are now old but forever golden beam the big top of my heart
I always remember those words, "ma'am, do you want to go on another ride?"

“Death is the last chapter in time, but the first chapter in eternity.” – Author unknown

departed.
Souls gathered at -
cemetery graves.
Spirits now free,
and at peace.
To rest.

We made the choice

We made the choice
To follow Jesus
Into his house
We made the choice
To go to and have a meal
With Jesus
Because he is the one that
Invited us to his table
We had drunk some wine
And ate the host
We made the choice
Also to accept Jesus
Into our lives
We made the choice
To live by Jesus rules
We made the choice
That we are going to look after
Our health every day
We will not let our health go down
AIso we can't live with out health
We never smoked a cigarette in our lives
And we are not going to start now
We also made the choice to go to bed
Early every night
So we can get a proper sleep
We are very generous once it comes
To give our offerings to Jesus
Also Jesus is the man that
Walked on the water
Also Jesus is the man
Who thought us how to fish
Also Jesus had preach the bible to us
That he wrote
Yes
Genesis is the first chapter in the
Bible

Blank Page

I took a long walk to the park
While holding my book and pen in both hands
Upon arriving, I looked all around
And noticed a brown bench that looks extremely antique
I sat down quietly staring at a blank page
Just trying to form words together in my mind
So I could create a perfect first chapter

Ten minutes later
I still can't think of anything to write
Oh well!
Maybe I should give up completely
Or give it another try
Five minutes later, I'm fantasizing about
Being the best published author
Who sold a lot of books
Then it suddenly dawned on me
That I was not in reality

Now I'm back to square one
Staring at the same blank page
This time I'm getting different ideas
Therefore, I jot them down as they come to me
And I began to write constantly
Plus did not stop until my book was finished
How satisfied I felt that day
For I did not have to worry about anymore incomplete chapters.

When You Open a Book

And when you open that book
With your expectations
to find the food, exactly how they appeared on the commercial
Disappointment awaits you
Book cover are just as appetising as the delicious food you see on the fliers
But look awkward once ordered
Ignore the advert and order your venom

And when you read your first chapter
Skip unto the last page
and that’s how you finish a thousand pages long prose
but the void in your head
The questions with no answers
Shall motivate you
to reverse unto the first page as your flip page after page
and that’s how you finish a thousand pages long prose

When you close that book
and remember absolutely nothing
Open it for the second time
This time, with a piece paper and a pen
Paint down the important images you encounter
and that’s how you summarise a thousand pages long prose

And when you close that book again
it isn’t the end
maybe it is the end
With all the reading struggles
The sleepless nights and fights
Remember, when you close and hid me in your shelf
I will be right here
Right here in your room,
Should you need me,
This time, hurry before your ants order me

The First Chapter Part 1

I knew that once I stopped
frantically looking
you would magically appear
I knew that once I stopped
dramatically sulking
you would emerge from the sphere

your form is a sultry black
your deep hue is smooth
and unblemished
when I first drank
from your fertile fountain
I was immediately replenished

you have the eyes of God
they enrapture me
in every and all ways
they caused me
to reappraise
my decision to give into the malaise

I foolishly believed
that I wasn’t chosen
to be one of loves remaining
but I know that God
let me see you standing there
once I stopped doubting and complaining

"Honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom". Thomas Jefferson

When I was very young, regardless of society's philosophy,
Our parents taught us that HONESTY was the best policy.

Seems to me, that true HONESTY gives birth to inner liberty.
Seems to me, presently, impression goes farther than ability.

Genuineness is fading, and hypocrisy is hiding transparency.
Seems to me, presently, one's craft reveals less creativity.

Seems to me, presently, an age of falsity and dishonesty.
When truth permeates the soul, it will release HONESTY.

Seems to me that pride and blind ambition ends in futility.
Intellectual HONESTY is the 'high ground' of true integrity.

The lack of common sense, trust, and unity is a travesty.
One's popularity must always be inferior to one's credibility.

Honesty

*HONESTY*

Honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom.
Telling the truth sometimes more than we can fathom.
Playing games of truth or lies many times we can’t disguise.

Honesty is more than not lying, it is truth speaking, telling and living.
Often times to protect someone the dark to light always unknown.

Honesty is a very expensive gift, being real is what most people wish.
We walk around in clueless bliss
So easy to forget, so easy to miss

Honesty pays but not in bills greed, anger what is the thrill?
Misery likes the most company
All in all ,Honesty is the best policy

Premium Member Turn the Page

TURN THE PAGE.
You just read the last line of the very first chapter,
and you are complaining about the introduction.
Moreover, you think it is a very long chapter.

TURN THE PAGE.
You say that you do not like the way chapter one was written,
and you are apprehensive and suspicious of the next chapter.

TURN THE PAGE.
However, you must remember that you are not the author.
The author wrote his story his way, as any authentic author would.

TURN THE PAGE.
Furthermore, if you wish to read his book, you must turn the page.
The world was being written before you appeared, and its future
does not hinge upon you. So read on; write on; and turn the page.

That day when legal slavery ended
A brief moment when justice seemed palpable
marked only the first chapter of caped cross burners
and rageful lynch mobs
marked only the beginning of white terror
against black dignity
Equal justice under law

That day when the sky opened
A brief glimmer when freedom seemed possible
stained only by the blood of generations oppressed
bruised only by the brutality of the state
against these people of color
Equal justice under law

That day when a people were proclaimed
A brief interlude when equality seemed attainable
marred only by marginalization and segregation
scarred only by white supremacy and white dominance
against these struggling people
Equal justice under law

Someday when a people get their due
An arcing rainbow when liberation is realizable
helped only by abandonment of white privilege
aided only by respect and compassion
for these people
Equal justice under law

The Empty Book

Opening your book only to see
Teardrops of loneliness dripped upon page one
Your biography has been emptied of love
The Contents includes the first chapter of loss

The autograph that was placed within is disappearing
Your pictures are fading away with your words
This history of life has become only empty memories
Your cover has become hard your binding glue melting away

Life without meaning joy without feeling
This your last book for you have been sold out
No reprints will ever be made you are at a loss for words
This author will never return

Premium Member Intoxicated

Intoxication

The heady intoxication
Of new love ventured
Buds that blossom
Fed by warm waves
Of sweet euphoric sensation

The sun captured
Smiles within ones heart
Radiating in abundant glory
Taming the savage beast
Invigorating ones soul
First chapter of a never ending story

An adventurous journey
Travelled together
Overcoming obstacles
Of vale and hill
Finding beauty in hidden places
As refreshing as a clear sparkling
Mountain stream never stagnant
Never still

A leisurely stroll through a bejewel garden
A vibrant technicolour dream
Sewn together with the finest silk
Made of purity of heart soul and mind eclipsed
Sall ignited by a sinle lingering blissful kiss
Upon receptive soft warm lips

A strong friendship firmly rooted
As a tree underground
A home built brick by brick
With mortar of kindness and tenderness
An open fire that remains aglow
A private feathered nest
Where appreciation and giving
That only two kindred lovers know.

I have a dream. No, not that kind of dream, a different kind – a girl kind. And no, not that kind either. A love kind. Who is my dreamboat? That would be Aubrey Plaza. Aubrey, Aubrey, Aubrey. Excuse me while I swoon, *swoon*. It will be the greatest love story ever told, eclipsing even Darla and Alfalfa, and the first chapter begins on an elevator. Aubrey and I reach for the button panel at the same time and our fingers touch. The electricity makes her jump in surprise. I look into her eyes. "Going down?" I ask her. “You couldn't afford me,” she replies. Then I call her a name that starts with a “W” that refers to a soiled dove. She calls me a name that refers to an appendage. Then we burst out in laughter, fall in love, move into a Tribeca brownstone, have sarcastic babies, and live happily ever after.
