Begotten to Fail 

The strutting hustlers 
rouse their slumberous day 
amidst their maddened worlds  
In the midst 
of the wary ghetto
A dream steps out 
blinking, yawning with a resolve 
even as their sky seems blurry 
Repelling men and monsters 
Relishing the forecasted rain
Marching through 
mud and splatters 
riding with the lightning
dancing to the pounding

When you thought you were strong, but now you see you're caught in the web of doubt,
A stranger in your own skin, searching for a self that once seemed so certain,
I try to rise, but I fall again, chasing

To my children and grandchildren People will fail you

Don't think it strange when someone attacks!
A person you hold dear ,stabs you in the back!
Learn from God's word that all people are flawed.
To God nothing about our behavior is odd!

The sky is falling quietly down
The evening starts to glow
You let her out in the garden

I hear you calling “Pippa!”

Hear your “good girl” to her
And Pippa wags her tail

As the V-Line Coach approached the Apollo Bay,
Along the sand line, what did I find?
The splashing waves rushed in to reach the beach.
The scent of the trees and plants,  
Triggered some ideas in my brain.
I planned to throw your book into the sea,
Let the salty water washed all your printed words.

For in them the world is full of practicality
The emotion of things can't solve any problem
