Words Fail Me

Words used to come so easily.
They used to wait to be jotted down,
Waiting to be read and shared with many.
Now words fail me.
My thoughts circle the drain, disappearing in an instant.

I know how you feel, Maria. Exciting ideas zip through my mind disappearing out the other side. Keep one writing these great pieces. Maybe we'll find our inspired thinking hiding in a corner. Haha ??

Hello Maria, Great personification of “Words. They have a mind of their own. Your visual is amazing. I can see the words swirling around the drain, purposely leaving! Good Job!

Words are waiting for the right moment to caress the page, thoughts on the other hand, like to tumble around. Sometimes it's difficult getting them together. Seems you've done well here, Maria. Both embrace at the same time. : ) Congratulations on receiving Poem of the Day. : ) Hugs, Brandy

Dear Maria, Congratulations on your POTD. I get the same feeling some days, and that's the worst feeling for me. Not to worry, you are a poet at heart, words will not fail you. Best wishes ~

Dear Maria, Congrats on POTD! Well, your words did not fail you this time. Some days I have words, phrases, and ideas popping like popcorn. Some days, I wonder if my poet moments have come to a close like a locked door. I am glad your muse spoke out today. Autumn Blessings, Dear Maria, Daniel

Maybe I can help - I know lots of words. I do suffer on occasion from word paralysis but some here might think that’s a good thing. Nice to see ya. Congrats on your POTD.

grab a plunger, suck that muse out of the drain and keep writing Maria.. second thought....are the words failing you or are you failing the words....just pondering both sides ...hang in there...
