When the sublime symphony of summer
is about to enter its last movement
The mysterious curtain of magic
Nature transform into golden colors
yellow, orange, red and even purple
Eye-catching spectacular color shades
Walk in the quiet respite of autumn
while breathing in the lovely fresh crisp air
The season's most beautiful adventure
With autumn, the weather changes quickly
The wind takes hold and throws me off balance
Ripe apples, pears and plums fall to the ground

It looks to me like the iconic photo was shot on a Sunday
Behind an abbey that was soundless with loud prayers
The traffic was more human than mechanical
On the broad, asphalted spine of a skinned, dead zebra
Where four men created a useful, eye-catching scene
With their stern military march of youthful legs,
Coming together, yet drifting solemnly apart,
Each carrying that weight of something serious.

Good morning America.
Today, July 4, 2025, I looked out of my front window,
and at 6AM saw a most beautiful sky. Locked into
this eastern canopy was a very eye-catching
coloration, reminding me of the colors of the
American flag.
Yes, America, like our flag, it was red, white, and blue.
No, there were no stars and strips, but I could not help
but think heavily of you.
The grounds were lased with green grasses, and crops
of grain were heavily covered with dew. But the eastern
sky was very distinctly red, white, and blue.
America, this was a first for me in that I had never seen
such canopy colors and gave honoring thoughts of you
at the same time. It was indeed a momentous experience
for me.
And so, America, I close by saying, my heart and thoughts
are whispering warm prayers for you on this 4th of July.

Early Moring Interuption
Travelling steamed coffee
Aroma in silence
A lamp early dusk
Trees swaying are curious
Mountains embrace us
From afar
Just pondering ajar
Hinder early morning
Coffee gives me lightning
Wake up to another blessing
Leaves scattered
Poetry thoughts gather
Interrupted eye catching
Overflow clouds dancing

With my computer in hand, out the door I dash....
To other people's doors for cash
Picking up to drop off,
Then swiftly to the next stop
Dashing, Grubhubbing, and Ubering galore,
In a sputtering economy, lent-filled pockets I really abhor
Rapacious eyes peruse desktops, tablets, and smartphones for eye-catching menus
Man's incessant search for comfort and convenience hungrily continues
Picking up to drop off,
Then swiftly to the next stop
Dashing, dashing past drive-thrus and beyond dining rooms
Now a fresh and different energy looms
A mad dash for cash
Dough dashing...
Dashing for MO'
So, out my door
I GO
To contactless drop-offs and no eye contact, all spawned from a digital transaction
Distant, yet so close, is this human interaction
A mad dash for cash
Dough dashing...
Dashing for MO'
So, out my door
I GO

Imagine this,
I put up like this,
There is no end to it,
The night came in,
The creeps give the chills,
I wonder how to feel,
It is the sequel,
The storyline is captivating,
Very eye-catching,
The movie Serpent is in search,
For a more dramatic and chaotic impact,
In this hour of darkness,
I can still feel the sensational,
Of going on an adventurous journey,
Is this a survey,
Or a rental one,
I could be someone,
Looking through and through,
I spotted a feline,
Of a different kind,
I don't mind,
Give me the sign,
The next blockbuster in line.

The cock also sweat
Sweating beneath the undaunted hair
Though unseen, untethered
Unnoticed yet vulnerable.
The male lion also weep
Weeping gently and silently
With insignificant traces
Though galloping and parading
In confidence which left creatures
Marvelled and tender.
The virile also feels
They also go through pains
Pains seen and unseen
Though eye catching faces
And beautiful faces are worn over
Should the Bull go begging when in awe of death?
Should the mighty cry ?
Should the Cheetah crawl ?
Should the Tiger be afraid?
In street, the virile is left alone
Detached, chastened and stranded
Moving to and fro
But no place to call home.
Even when he wants to be known
And cherished, he is deprived.
Should humanity be switched?
Even when switched, will he be known ?
Will he be recognized?
Or will he be appreciated?
He is all alone
Longing to overcome
Though no hope of winning
But hanging on till the driver arrives
And all is left behind.

Near the edge of democracy’s garden
sprouted the Tree of Misinformation,
quickly growing into the largest tree
with leafy branches broad and long and tall.
Though toxic was its eye-catching fruit,
many ate the deceptive apples
that clouded their minds
and blinded their eyes.
They could not even perceive
the clear, self-evident truth
that a deceitful serpent
had slyly seduced them.
Fanatically following the swindler,
angrily amplifying audacious lies,
they spread wide more tainted seeds
throughout the lush fertile garden.
Will the garden wither into wastelands
littered in reeking, rotting fruit and minds,
while the people perish
not understanding why?
(This poem was inspired by the not-nearly-so-dark Oct. 8, 2024 Frank & Earnest cartoon by Bob Thaves as well as the equally dark Garden of Eden story in Genesis 2 and darker-still political events. See also my poems “How Would Jesus Vote?” and “The 2023rd Psalm.”

Upon first entering, there's a picture of a lion sitting, staring, and scrutinizing all who enter.
Next, your eyes are drawn to a beautiful picture of a white house backed
by trees and embroidered with a myriad of eye-catching flowers. As you
take a seat at the dinning table, a painting on the wall greets you with
power and solemnity. It's a lion's head, cheek to cheek with the head of
Christ crowned with thorns. Near the fire place, a much smaller and less
colorful picture hangs. It's a picture of my grandmother sitting in a
wheel chair with hospital tags still on her wrist. She smiles with no sign
of care as a great grandson leans over her shoulder. Next to the front door
hangs a picture of, not suggestions, but the 10 commandments.
If it were mandated that only one picture could remain, grandma's picture
wins hands down. You see, it was grandma who shielded and protected me;
who comforted and reassured me, loving me unconditionally. Yes, it's grandma.
My final answer.

Haiku Sonnet.
end of summer night
in dark coolness lunar night
shows up many stars
a summer night breeze
so calm cool no sound at all
whisper of wind sound
red bright in the south
calm shining nice glistening
lovely awesome star
eye-catching blue star
amazing shines beamy lights
in the west pure sky
Language of reality
Last for so many light years.

It is what catches the eye, kindness of one being
You don't see anger, hey I want to be that
Eye catcher, one's personality adored
We truly want to be all that is
To be better person we portray
Ourselves showing emotions of the heart
Not hidden behind wall invisible
Alone in anger your rage you carry
Hurting, memory not wanting to forgive
It's truly eye catcher, rescue of another soul
Animal being saved, birth of a child
It is love we know, kindness existence
That we want to feel that kind of love
We thrive to be, even ourselves we train
As we practice getting up on right side bed
Skies bring colors, some joyful to see
Flowers blooms, an eye catching sight
As a cloud rolls, water of sea churns
Soul from the depths, what makes us?
We don't look to anger to be but be better
Eye catcher to perfecting oneself as a race
Mankind, suppose cause we was made by man
God of man, his spirit we walk in breath
The beauty of grace everywhere we look
That in ourselves we want to feel pleasures
An eye catcher, a soul just being human

Surprising,
grows on fresh sea ice
eye-catching ice-crystal structures
Imagine picking frost flowers in the Polar night
an adventurous place where it is possible to meet the white bear King Valemon

Or nearby country lanes and quaint front yards,
are the Eucalyptus Rainbow, streaked trees,
found in Southeast Asia island countries.
Two hundred twenty-foot tall tree safeguards,
its ninety-four-inch smooth orange-tint trunk,
growing in the lowlands and rainforest,
wood makes paper and cosmetics cherished.
It's pale green, red, grey, and puce, a slam dunk,
breathtaking wonderment countryside greats,
eye-catching kaleidoscopic spectrum,
arrangement stretched far away, no breadcrumb.
The advocate of nature illustrates,
through collective documents and accounts,
unthinkable odds descriptive recounts.

Where joyful colors and lively settings rule.
In which ideas run wild and originality extol
Children congregate, full of glee and cheer.
As Legos arrive, a joyful melody appears.
With little fingers and bright eyes.
The kids start on a quest full of fun surprises.
Build homes, spaceships, and buildings so tall.
Their dreams are to lift wings and hit above all.
Their dreams come to life, piece by piece.
Encasing fresh towers akin to a fleece.
They realize their aspirations using Legos.
As they build a home ideal for Geckos
Colorful and eye-catching plastic blocks,
New and historic kingdoms unlock
Tales for kids in their heads as they grow
As they build upward, they'll fall into a row.
Each brick is a jigsaw piece that fits exactly.
Drawing artwork for my kids distracts me.
The kids giggle and squeal, lost in their play.
Leaving memories that will forever stay.
