Exonerated Poems | Examples

The chains are still there you've just got to look closer

Stalked all their life
Stained by a crime not committed
A permanent mark on black skin
A reminder how we will never fit in
Labelled as criminals
Despite being exonerated

Probation was for those in need of reformation
Not those who already good behaviour
But any chance to stereotype
The oppressors will take their chance
To keep the invisible chains of oppression are locked in and secured
A way to surveil those who now walk in the light
Constant checkups, now a normal routine
Having to ensure their record is squeaky clean
Being suffocated by the fear
Of breathing wrong
They'll do anything to keep us behind bars
Freedom they promised, yet freedom we haven't received
Being watched doesn't equate to being free
Especially when we still hang from the trees of your critique

You can't claim slavery ended when we are still slaves to your constant surveillance
Not when incarceration is used as a way to keep us hidden
Not when we live a life of normalcy
Yet are still followed
By the law that claims to help
Yet shoots us as soon as we open our mouth
You can't claim it ended when we live under the power
Of the white man

Those Exonerated Five

Exonerated Five

exaggerated
while they were castigated
then exonerated

Future of Democratic Campaign

was a detection
selection of direction
causing infection

creative thinking
to determine great future
will be within grasps

had been annoyed
our friendship destroyed
we now avoid

Premium MemberMental Thing

Can I be exonerated
For the crimes I never commited?
There’s no one to ask, I’m afraid
Which doesn’t make me uplifted
And its nowhere to go, I’m unseen
Cause my passport is shining too bright
Unwelcomed, I see the screen
But never I saw the light,
Of that special hour, before the evening
Covers your land, my reader
No rest for the wicked, believe me
Wicked isn’t me, but a leader
Of lemmings with human faces
Though I don’t belong to that file
I never cared for rat races
But for you I’m of common pile
Concerning about your peace
You cannot see what you’re not shown
It’s not an eyesight disease
But a mental thing, still unknown.

Pushover

I’m a push-over,
even the moon changes color
when I turn away from it.

Cats only take note of me
when I eat a banana.
A banana is as much a mystery to a cat
as are the pyramids to us.

Last week, if I had died at home
bits of me
would now be in their feed bowls
and litter box.

Cats understand
quick convenience eating.

If the bananas could talk
the cats would be exonerated.

Premium MemberLucy Gives Tortoise a Fine Day

Tortoise had only great things to say about his comrade Lucy.
She inspired their boss to give him a day off with his cousin Deucy.

When Deucy bowed out of the adventure, Tortoise felt relieved
Like he had been exonerated, and reprieved.

Because he had a cozy armchair and an exciting book to read
He settled down for a terrific day; it was a marvelous unselfish deed!

Premium MemberWorld Wishes Now

What are the world's current requisites?
Is preferable to intelligence than bellicosity.
We should stoop our heads like wind chimes,
Additionally, supplicate our Almighty God.

It doesn't matter if you approve it or not,
Ultimately, the answer is in your hands.
With a little blot, you cannot go wrong,
Regardless of what you might do.

Others will be exonerated and scrutinized,
It's almost as though they're finely rung.
Consider them as if they are pleased and jubilant,
When you stand together, you will be magnificent.

I'm aiming to lessen my rating and increase my love,
This action should be carefully examined.
Being exempt from the requirement to assign a score,
As a consequence, the path will be unambiguous.

Punters, first and foremost, notice your spirit,
In the long run, you might consume the right to see.
That every one of us will provide his fair share,
As a result, harmony will be defined by no rules.

Premium MemberA Hangover

Betrayal of the heart
cocaine disguised as oxygen,
controlling your breathing
slow to grow like an addiction;

Enamored;

Such passion confined,
exonerated with a touch;
Wordless I cry out,
as reality collapses;

Enraptured;

Tripping on the taste,
in the dark inhibitions fall
for everything enhanced
left strung out with a hangover.

Al'Z Hammered But Game

Al’z hammered but game

That life-is-death syncopation thang
is how the master described old age
And there was nothing to be done
for it as the Maharishi Budh Moham Red
became a child again on his deathbed,
lost the last remnants of control,
 his pants, biologically speaking
and kicked the bucket, passed on,
disappeared…died.

Even animals feel empathy, just but observe
     the slaughter of their kin
So imagine my surprise at the Budh
wisdom revealed, routinely, as I drove
for my meal only to be amazed by the
                         fact
that I could not remember what my home
looked like, where it was, astonished
at the failure beyond my control.

Heaven is attained
     or is it decreed?
Exonerated by faith
that somewhere in time I remember.
Haunted by my poor timing.

On the Edge of Surges

On the edge of the wedge between hope and despair
Heightened and strengthened by determination and devotion
To clutch at the latch of the batch where love fell into disrepair
My last portion of caution urges no precaution to enliven my love lotion.

On the edge of the stage beneath the beat of my heart
Laminated, exonerated and venerated by a warmth wall
Under circumstances that sentenced the love art
To a deficit of explicit exaggeration, I advance affection accrual.

On the edge of the page where age agitated for affability
In love libations lapped by listless lips and slips
Engrossed and embossed with the imprint of amiability
In the course of temptation, I try hard the termination of tension trips.

On the edge of the sledge enraged by my outage outrage
Felt, dealt with and knelt at the altar of Cupid
Whose arrows assuage the page of the sage
Whose magic wand lands lovebirds on a reconciliation rapid.

Premium MemberPersuasions of a Sojourning Moon

Her supple and shapely silhouette rests submissively
as the luster upon the soft satin sheets arouses
sensual images of salaciousness beneath the sheen surface

My empty yet enduring eyes slowly engage the darkness
eager to embark upon the elusive lines energizing the elation
as a sojourning moon entices her to endear

Her excelling exuberance... exploited on exhalation
exposing her explicitly, exemplifying the excerpt
of an exonerated experience as the moonlight expires

Premium MemberThe Discovery of a Lifetime

I sat patiently waiting for a fun time to come,
For my life to be happy, full of cheer.
Meekly living a life watching genuine fun pass me by,
From a day, to a month, to a year.

My life song routine was predictable, was easy,
No emotional yards to overcome.
The T.V. shows timetabled, and kid’s sports all planned,
Success made me hysterically numb.

Achieving was fake, meant zero… nothing at all,
Validating how I was living my life.
That’s when I discussed, with myself, things important to me,
That’s when I sat down and talked with my wife.

I needed to glide off a cliff, to wake on a beach,
To exit a plane on the other side of the Earth.
To sing, write poems, and paint all night long,
To find out what I think I am worth.

And now I don’t sit, I’m not patient nor quiet,
I don’t watch others feign happy and gay.
I have a life of too busy doing things that I love,
I saved myself, I’m the exonerated beach castaway.

My Mental Agony

When sweet pleasure turns to pain
And desires turn to nightmares
When every single piece of me
Wants to be free from care
How often do you realise
That something that you wanted yesterday
Is not what you need today?
I've felt the quagmire of emotions
I've dealt with the ramifications of my fantasies
Now all I want is to be exonerated from this situation
Is it too much that I ask for?
