In tennis,
Love means nothing.
Off the court,
It’s everything.
Tennis and love start the same—
Your pulse quickens, hands shake.
Your first high school match,
You lose the opening service game to love.
You would’ve felt less gutted
Had your opponent eviscerated you.
Tennis is a game
Of little lives and quiet deaths,
Each break point converted, electric—
Every winner a shock to the heart.
The points lost to careless mistakes internally bleed you,
Matches lost as a result of a million little cuts.
You could hold a eulogy
For each match lost,
Mourning them from the bleachers,
Hoping your team won’t feel the same loss.
The court slips away,
The way he did—
Your reach, no matter how fierce,
Falls short.
You swing, you miss—
The same way you lost him,
By fractions.
By fleeting moments.
By flaws you thought you could fix.
And when you walk off court,
It’s like leaving him again—
Bruised and breathless,
Haunted by points you’ll never win back.
The first time you fall in love,
He doesn’t stay.
And you carry it with you,
A soft ache beneath the skin,
Like the match you almost won
But couldn’t quite keep
In your hands.

We are the innocent ones who were verbally and
physically eviscerated by heathens who deemed us weak.
The evil ones punished our hearts, souls and minds
leaving us in an internal pool of blood.
We endured the ruthlessness and brutality from all whom
wrongly believed they were somehow above us.
There were so many of us children living in fear and
desperation, while countless turned a blind eye to us.
My hope for God’s meek ones is that their memory of the
inhumane persecution doesn’t cause them pain forever.
I’m writing this for all of God’s meek ones, who are
the chosen ones that our abusers failed in destroying.
My promise to God’s meek ones is that a divine light will
shine down guiding, protecting and leading them to Heaven.
Surely, as God’s meek ones, we will be looked upon as
His most precious and pure!
My heartfelt sincerest gratitude is for my beloved Aunt Flo, her
kindness helped me to feel worthy giving me back faith in God.
To all the Meek Ones trust that God will create a way through all
your pain and know that no one can stand against Him!

Breaking apart
your verbal
sledgehammer
demolishes me
words that crush
all that I am
all that I thought
while I try to find
rhyme or reason
for the assualt.
Broken down
As floods of malice
pour out from wounds
I could not see
in you, from you
I am broken
beyond repair
It's only cold now
now that I see
you no longer care.
Break through, a must
to breath.
I deconstruct
everything I am.
It's no longer of import
why you eviscerated
me with your words
why you left me
as you did.
In the end
you didn't love me
was what occurred.

When you rest, your head between my shoulder and jaw
My eyes forget every weight they ever carried or ever saw
I'm just a man, but to me, you are the world without every flaw
When your sweet oranges look up at me, I am forever in awe
My sadness is eviscerated by each breath you will ever draw

Left so overwhelmed
with all the tomfoolery;
Drowning in why try;
Operating in my lane,
never meant to set the pace;
Not made to follow,
they go right as I turn left;
Throw in a white flag;
My heart eviscerated,
I’m stuck between fight or flight;
Thinking of the group
that already forgot me;
A disappearance
from them and an about face,
you just can’t save everything.

“Objects of Affection”
Objects of affection
drop like white marbles
from the sky
we love to look
to our heaven
for all kinds
of angels
all’s fair in
love and war
when faith
and belief
in a stronger
unified existence
that type of love, denied
trust
walks out the door
along a fine sharp line
sucked into that endless place
where the black ball
is dropped,
compartmentalised
life interrupted
for the unheard
taken down
by the unnecessary
silent swift intervention,
interrogated, eviscerated,
true autopsy, denied
what is love
to the alienated
gone AWOL alien
true fabric
orchestrated
by the external
as something other,
superficial,
the internal, inconvenient,
briefly recognised
worthless feelings
buried deep, the complex
compartmentalised
non-copacetic;
by the artificial copacetic
written off blithely,
non-evolutionary
the revolution de-loused,
time spent of no importance,
touch and emotions
clinically extinct
love
unknown
life
unrecognised
of unknown origin
unidentified

Paper’s blank stare

This fight is over. I am done.
Eviscerated I can't cry.
My strength, my dreams, my hopes are gone.
I guess, this is my last goodbye.
'Cause I am broken and forlorn,
Too deaf to hear, too blind to see
That I have always been alone
And there is no one here for me.
I turn to ashes. And it's real.
Just let me drink that one more cup
Of pain, that I'm so tired to feel,
And no more suffer...
I give up

Tides of angry crashing waves swell tall
The shore abruptly braces itself
Ancient books and secrets have held
This thousand year old epic battle
Famous fortunes fortold of this war
Hundreds of fight to settle the score
creatures emerge from the murky deep
abandoning all reason or sympathy
The salty sweat of its razor tongue
Lashes out and melts the once brilliant sun
Cursed the landscape into dust
Cliffs and mountains all forsaken
No longer grace us with their wisdom
A thousand years crushed eviscerated
A scorched earth now blackened ashes
