A Disappearance
Left so overwhelmed
with all the tomfoolery;
Drowning in why try;
Operating in my lane,
never meant to set the pace;
Not made to follow,
they go right as I turn left;
Throw in a white flag;
My heart eviscerated,
I’m stuck between fight or flight;
Thinking of the group
that already forgot me;
A disappearance
from them and an about face,
you just can’t save everything.
