I Give Up

This fight is over. I am done.
Eviscerated I can't cry.
My strength, my dreams, my hopes are gone.
I guess, this is my last goodbye.

'Cause I am broken and forlorn,
Too deaf to hear, too blind to see
That I have always been alone
And there is no one here for me.

I turn to ashes. And it's real.
Just let me drink that one more cup
Of pain, that I'm so tired to feel,
And no more suffer...
                                         I give up

It is said of Winston Churchill that he, as guest speaker at a graduation stated, "Never give up! Never give up!" and exited the podium. Enough said on giving up. Why? Because your outward beauty denotes that you have the capacity to stand and fight for what you believe in. So, I say to you, let that outward beauty be your real identity and it will serve you well.

I have sometimes found it useful to give up temporarily, for a day or two. Then, I decide to pull my head out, and face life. Love and Peace to you! You're a good poet, we want to read more, so don't give up!
