Enticed Poems

Don Juan

She believed in love at first sight
was deluded and double-crossed
one more time put her heart on the line
everything she once had now is lost
never knew no one who'd dissemble and lie
stab her in the back as he looked her in the eye
made the mistake of giving him her trust
now she's all beat up broke down battered and bust
she who had the faith love conquers all
was duped deceived taken for a ride
if she knew then all she knows now
there'd be no heartbreak she'd be dry-eyed
what a charmer come to no harmer
he enticed her then sliced and diced her
he's a two-timing four-flushing freak
if anyone ever was the perfect portrayal of one
living on a diet of deception and betrayal
he's a true Casanova a real Don Juan

Premium Memberenticed by kicking feet

my feet are kicking
high in the air
now the scissor step
making an arabesque design

my first and last husband sees this as sexy
everything I say and do has been sexy
since the minute he began coveting me
When I was just a baby of fifteen.

He was an older man.
Also fifteen, but seven months older.
I see him lick his lips.
And the chase begins.
fifty-seven years later.

I bet few couples can say this…

Premium MemberThe Enticed Cat

A long time ago I had an endearing pet,
a black cat, his name I lovingly gave, was Billy.
He liked to lie on the sofa, often making it wet,
the feline stupidity, I thought, that was silly.

He would never care to use the assigned place,
he was trained to go when he needed to pee.
Outside of the house anybody hardly saw his face,
a languid cat, indoors he always wanted to be.

His home bound leisurely life I did not mind,
adorably cute in ebony fur, I wanted him near me.
With his constant silent presence I was entwined,
for he became a sweet integral part of my family.

One spring out of the house he started to daily run,
made my heart break when I found in dismay,
he disappeared one night, did not ever return,
enticed by his mate, a white cat, he ran away.

I have not forgotten my charming Billy even today,
decided to not have a black cat ever with me to stay.

All things can tempt me from shore of desire,
turn to sun-soaked sapphire waves I aspire,
plait pearled lattice of love your heart adorns,
they won’t return to sea of blue forlorn.
Trailing waft of your moonbeamed silhouette
I’ll sink in sands of time with no regret.
At the edge of hope sun’ll rise on new sky,
paints of yearning on canvas won’t be dry
to draw dreamscape fervid brush won’t resist
sprightly masterstroke of enticed artist.

Premium MemberEnticed To Stay

Pink the sunset which filtered through the leaves
to burnish your skin on one afternoon,
when fireflies glittered like radiant weaves

Vanishing in the grass. We knew that soon
those ebony clouds gathering would force
us to flee the glade...yet a birdsong’s tune

Enticed us to stay, stay madly on course,
dare the oncoming rainfall ...and a smile
enlivened your face, as the insolent force

Of lightning crackled. ”Let’s wait up a while,”
you gasped, till we fondled everywhere;
while a conniving star reeled to beguile.

A wildcat rushed out and paused low to stare,
While we huddled unclad ... too close to care.

Premium MemberEnticed Into the Storm

An earthen vessel, driven by wind;
I'm tossed upon rocks by waves of sin.
Patience as captain; I'm unsteady at helm.
I wavered in faith; I'm lost in thy realm.

Rough seas of vanity; temptations conceived.
Drowning my soul as the flesh deceived.
Thy word is the light; the Sun's burning rays;
For mercy and salvation in thy name I pray.

Foolishly Enticed

Foolishly Enticed

Whereas your plot did draw me in,
yes you, but perhaps not you alone.
That inviting open widow
that I was pulled through wore sparkling glass
with heart’s desired
worded sash.

Whereas that I, now too late, do clearly see
that it was I who became a foolish moth.
Drawn toward
an open window my heart did wished to see
with a porch light
that wasn’t lit for me.

Therefore I share pain’s lesson,
reclaim my heart, and learn from this.
Cocooning, again,
until a new porch light is lit.
Open windowed wary... as not all panes
wear true love’s tint.

Enticed

...It is calm...
“Come!” They said...it is calm
“Come!” they enticed...do not be afraid or alarmed
“Please come” they insisted...you will not be harmed
“Why there and not here?”...I wondered
In response I faintly muttered...
“It is secure and safe here”
“Hey, come you will not be harmed”...they reassured
“Okay!” ...in innocence I conceded
For they said, “it is calm”
“Here I am”...I announced...”I have come!”
My ears heard them say soothing words
“You are welcome!”
“Alas! Alas”!...gasped I in is suprise
For sooner than later a tempest arose
“Did they not say it is calm?”...I whispered
I realized...“Conceding without considering was my fault”
For it was better there than here

“Enticed, go by West, but by East-wood be best”

The GPS, a best, many confess,
With sultry voices sounding like May West.
Gotta know limitations,
Use Atlas on vacations.
Do you feel lucky punk? Then GPS!

Enticed...

Your scent is like the smell of sweet nectar

of a rose in full bloom and just like a bee

attracted to its sweet hypnotic smell, I too

have been drawn ever so close to you. Truly

you are the sap that sticks to the bark of

my tree and your scent is sweet and seductive

like a fresh morning rain. I'm a man that has

been rendered helpless by your fragrance and

enchanted by the warmth of your warm smile.

Truly any man can see... I have been enticed by a

woman that has taken the form of a fresh

morning flower that has been sprinkled ever so lightly

in a fresh morning dew of rain.
