Timorous Creeds

Dancing to the tune of iniquity,
Deviously artless in their silent retreat,
Elusively lashing out unjustly,
Pelting out timorous creeds;
A casualty in their vapid beliefs,
Brought upon by diligent lunacy,
Primed in erroneous ideologies.

The Quest For Wisdom

Where does wisdom reside?
Where does understanding hide?
Not in the land of living souls,
Nor depths of seas, where vastness rolls.

Hidden from eyes, from all living things,
Even birds in the sky, it elusively clings.
Destruction and Death have only heard,
A mere rumor, nothing more, of its word.

Mortals toil, seeking treasures confined.
From the soil, iron is taken, copper refined.
Silver mines and gold's refining cells,
In depths of earth, where darkness dwells.

Its value cannot be contained,
By gold or silver, it's not attained.
Beyond the jewels, the precious stones,
Wisdom surpasses all thrones.

God alone understands the way,
Where wisdom resides, where it stay.
He views all beneath the heavens above,
And measures wisdom with truth and love.

To humankind, this message He imparts,
"The fear of the Lord, wisdom's true start,
To shun evil, that is understanding's key",
Embrace wisdom's path, and truly be free.

Starry Fabric

All nature’s linked, the heavens with the earth,
in star formations, gas, galactic dust,
elusively in roles of death and birth
however random seems their wanderlust.
We peer in space with telescopic sight
that oft may miss the tracery that’s there
as when our past assumptions take to flight
in view of being further made aware.
Vast fabrics interwoven in the sky
that starry gazers spy amidst the mists
and what immensities they might imply
may only be a whit of what exists.
…The poets with their phrases hem and haw
…yet fail to other than profess their awe.

~ Harley White

Premium MemberIn a Moment

i wish
i could be a bird
owlish in my dismissals
giving chase to not one fleeting memory
while turning my gaze ahead
eyes and focus fixed
wings extended wide
winds lapping
upon my soaring spirit
a greater freedom remains elusively unknown
the time of your life —
is a lifetime spent within every moment

Autumn Birds In Sky Thunder

The sky ironed out n da' morning divine
On a November day cold
Celestial rainbows born of peeping sunshine
Cloud dreams rush past unrolled

Under the bare leafless trees
Masqueraded hard to see
A bird lands on a branch'y trapeze
Whilst' a gusting humming bird laughs elusively

Yet in that moment prevue
A sparkle of butterflies at glance
Capturing shades of yellow and warm blue
As treetops sway to the wind of dance

A secret life in the windy air
Sultry skies in hues of grey and white
At the moment birds n' butterflies scare
The whole time sky cracking in sight

Pleading in chilly branches above
Whilst autumn boom rumble laughs merrily
Birds n' butterflies lying determinedly in love
O' plunder n' thunder strike with golden symphony

Autumn now sways in aquamarine streaks
Spreading opulently past the stars
As the night revolves the sound of birdland shrieks
End of rainbow, yonder far

Hallucinatory Prayers

Fallen upon knees in ashes of pipe dreamer’s infatuation
chimera's collective stardust reigning through macrocosms,
world spins counterclockwise unrealistically bound hiatus
stained glass mirrors fracture in rhetorical opposition,
earthly beings condensed to mere commonplace residue
threadbare allegiances written on worn out constitutions,
idly spinning cogwheels from premier breath to closer exhale
angels hark intensely attempting to assuage inevitability
whilst calm winds yield to maelstroms' imitative gesticulations
forfeitures of human activity sacrificed in sins' germinal vices
banal platitudes reinforcing an elusively unoriginal existence,
dancing 'round the fire tween inquisitions' reluctant commendations
preparedness on conventional suspension of ill-advised reiterations,
awaiting surrender 'neath an incoherent vigil's unorthodox rite of
incarnate passages' disconnected resolve mid consequential rationale

 thereupon...

timelessness is but a variable symbol
    factored in mankind's hallucinatory prayers

She's Some Kind of Poetry - -

She's reckless and cautious

     in the same breath,

sensibly abstruse and uninhibited

       elusively in your face,

introspective in her extroversion

expressly shy when she wills to be,

    rapture in the mist

          an enigma unto man

              a force to be reckoned

         he couldn't possibly envisage,

don't try to comprehend the

   wind 'neath her wings,

     she's poetry replete

           with esoteric allusions

Revelation's Optical Illusion

Quintessentially phantasmagoric,
  her cobalt skies' chimerical fancy
     whores itself out for poetry,
sumptuously cached 'tween
    a revelation's optical illusion
enchanting white knights
     and seducing dragons alike,
her flimflam elusively lofty
& difficult to evermore be captured
    amidst celestial spheres of rapture

That Wanderer

This is the time I need
Unexpected as always as faithful
Always fading away, never to keep
As always as only an instant to be cool

I give to time an unwelcome me
And I tell to time that this is my moment
Nothing now can keep me from being free
This spur without promises to never be broken

Seeing further then where seas end
Hearing distinctively a silent stillness
A stranger amongst humanities elusively blend
A friendly amongst strangers in absolute bareness

I am he in this moment without a name
He who disappears beyond for a way to remain
For ones who knows me… knows me not
One can never think for I… I need be thought
A traveller isn’t my brand but a wanderer bears
A title exacting in a world no one cares
There were, there are and there is time
Do the ones and I still bother to find??
And I live my moments without I and me
Giving moments to me and I a lasting be

Tis be the time I seek
Unexpected… yet as always as faithful
A fading away before my leap
As always as only an instant to be cool

“Did you mean all those?
All the ones built to hurt.”
Is there form, plan, or purpose?
To those devices
To the bridge connecting
Was it intention to make sure it has burnt?

Maliciously never-ending
Devoid of way with no more choices
Backed into a corner
Rabidly defending a broken voice
Viciously attacking an emotional donor
A psychic vampire
Fooled once shame on the other
But fooled more than twice.

Ashamed for another.
Walking in fire
Sprinting desire.
Absolute oblivion.

Absolute hell.
Encased in her heart.
Engraved on my soul.

Even still revealed a charade
A farce. A final curtain, or maybe a false start.
Remain ambiguous. Elusively evade.
Judgmental and harsh
No love, or future certain.
No reason or universal constant.
Thought I had something romantic to say,
But only had to fart.

Premium MemberCultivate Peace

Cultivate peace
Under this open sky
Love is often elusively flying by.
To cultivate peace
Is a catalyst to love
Very few people know unconditional love;
Are wracked with abuse
They are victims of another;
Every vile thing done, is just a bad excuse.

Peace can be found by
Everyone, deep within their hearts
And we all must try.
Come into our closets and simply start;
Every day to cultivate peace, in each heart.

In the Rage of Reality

Slowly it bubbled and seethed
 rolling around my psyche
 leaving magenta trails of rage
that were slick to the switch

I traveled a thousand paths
 and read a million books,
 elusively 'it' remained veiled
burning the lava heating my rage

I wore a domino and understood
 nothing of your world,
living in a reality so skewed
 it warped, buckling it imploded

in the debris among the questions
I laid in silent fury, breaking nails,
and peeling at the veneer of this mystery
I found an onion with a million layers

my search ceased as sanity fell
the novel idea of knowing vanished,
and now I no longer need to know
I release you from our undertaking

searching for the answer
 I performed alchemy
 I am now magically unleashed
 on a windblown night

forever is moving forward
I go with it into the ether

Self

I have an identity... But I doubt it’s me.
Cobbled together from bits and bobs,
A congregation of smiles and nods,
And relatives laughing and joking at odds
With a suspect reflection that hints to be

New. Vocal tones picked up from tune;
Revolving circles, inviting clicks,
Associations that follow with tick,
Tock, Over, under, another poor trick,
Like I’m the carving, still elusively hewn

From bickering rock. Whilst even my train
Of thought doesn’t run on time.
Slowing down to pick up more crimes
To reason, other passengers to mime
On stirring repeat, across the anchored plain.

The real question, then, we all must ask,
Is are our fortunes so unique in mode,
Us: works of art flogged by bar code?
Standing jointly as evolving cliff-sides erode?
Or should we just (through time) unmask,

Endure our stormy strolling selves.

Rainbow dreams
                                                         elusively drift
                                                           out of sight,
                                                       slipping through
                                                   reality's stark fingers,
                                                     never fully grasped.
