"You are a volume in the book. A mirror to the power that created the universe. Whatever you want, ask it of yourself. Whatever you’re looking for can only be found inside of you."
- Rumi
It’s written about you,
Someone sees and has a clue,
The sacred book opens the door to light,
This pierces through the night.
Go past the troubles that find their way to your room,
Beyond you is a land of bloom,
Ask what you desire,
Let the sacred truths deeply inspire.
Hope is like blooming meadows,
It lifts the soul out of the shadows,
Elucidate those wondrous dreams on the inside,
Let it be chauffeured by dawn on the outside.
Walk on the bright side of life,
It’s a door out of strife,
We’re vessels of grace,
Faith is the shoe’s lace.
All clouds in azure at the lantern sky
Would be so calling the wings of the dreams
For spans in fortuitous threads
The beam of love reaching into a fragrant flower
By the chariot of natural order
In sweet joy the hope elucidate
Fire and water and chimes of the stars
A close opus in the song of flame
As in offering the hand of the river
A kiss as right as a great ease
So in such eruption witness without invest
The bell of arcs in bliss without question
Beyond what will should let
A garden and a veil
In patience though less structure
Fragility encompass such a grain
To ecstasy so coursing
By the darkness and any call
As same to seat a different page
Am I allowed to touch the blue of the magazine?
When stars otherwise kiss the somberness of the night?
Am I allowed to collect clouds in their ephemeral charm
And restore them their delectable delight to shed pain?
Can I turn orbs of sweet dreams of my own
Into the flavor that I love to color and add
a dash of my-ness into the air I breathe.
If so------
Then I promise I would recite the most exquisite poem.
Elucidate the most enchanting secret.
Write words that never conspired to appear in the most famous minds.
Let me drink my morning brew without exasperation.
and buy Time with my pocket of skills.
I promise I would give you a better garland
Whose fragrance would have designed no mind before.
I promise I’ll give you the piece that would
require no customization, and a tune free of cost.
I would give you the right to justify my wrongs without a grudge
And never turn a deaf ear to your sweated breath.
I would forgive myself for all that I have nurtured in pain
And give myself a Hi5 for having broken my own record.
If only you allow me to be, I’ll give you the gem I am.

sometimes i sit and wonder
are you blind or are you plainly just a beautiful person
with all my flaws and imperfections
you love me unconditionally
my mind sometimes needs an explanation
from the heart to elucidate how someone can be loved so effortlessly
the heart finds itself choked up sometimes there
failing to find the words
every second i am with you i feel reborn
like a just born baby is cherished even when all they do is cry
accepted with all my flaws and imperfections
you comfort me purposefully
i roam everyday with this warmth in my heart
but i think when we are together we are perfect
that every part of my being is enamoured for you
i am obsessed with how you make me feel
Knick-knacks, bottle caps, pop tabs, and acid
The reflux of my mind of many memories redacted
Connections don't elucidate the fuzzy things that happen
Only emphasize the vacuity of brains fried and flattened
I wouldn't deign to age another decade with this habit
But self-control's a feeble virtue in youthful years uncounted
Demote me to a lesser life where everything is vapid
My rancor for the world only grows as time elapses
I press on indulgently into the sugared gasses
The romance of it influence next generations addicts
For boys discover empathy and girls affirm their status
They haughtily plod to the tracks as the sully train passes
As autumns of dear life, I endeavor to face,
Reminiscing in springs, memories I retrace;
Cognizant that splendor of seasons will end,
Seeking amends, life’s goodwill I befriend;
Resolving to shed grimness trapped in yore,
Discarding grievances, hatefulness I abhor,
Filling voids with wisdom of enlightened soul,
Welcoming endearment aging vibes cajole.
Harmony I shall hoist, to apex of its tempo,
Strumming mirthfully rhythms of tomorrow,
Freed from obscurity of yesterday’s shadow
Rejoicing with family on life’s sunlit meadow.
Hosting sentiments that elucidate life anew,
Ethereal I wish to woo~ revered, and true,
Pleading for bliss of heaven, eternal as time,
Living and letting live, in tranquility sublime.
Disavowing shackles of material, mundane,
Compassion I’ll chase of benevolent domain
Redressing incongruence, vying virtues divine,
Steering autumns of my life till values align.

In solitude and serenity, hand in hand, they eye the field.
Sublime fruit, red, plump, desirable - like the steadfast
supermoon that’s bright overhead on this starry night.
Her lover plucks a strawberry, takes a bite, kisses her lips,
drops a knee, hires the moon to elucidate brilliant diamonds.

Veil of Fear
David J Walker
Sometimes the sound of
Foreign voices
Fall from another room
Call from the molten plume
Of obdurate choices
Carefully folded
in the tomb
Of the sacrificial lamb
Ask the enlightened
Who understand
Who can elucidate
The meaningless darkness
And expand upon a
Personal vision with
The starkness of
Incipient light
Latent derision
Intimate sight
Dissolving a veil of fear

Winter Whites
Master winter's crystalline zephyrs brisk,
studies o'er its righteous domain quickly,
promptly the seasonal occurrence whisk,
frost wintry breath dust a field o' calmly.
Eggshells ahead, once a rocky meadow,
Snow hovers across a restless highway,
Wall posts look like porcelain afterglow,
Cable radars are bone chinaware splay.
Alabaster Venuses ... snowstorm lamps,
Snow White elucidate the dwarfs a song,
Daisies dozing 'neath powdery revamps,
Cottonfields-rice patties, trees chiffon.
Ivory pearls, wilt on places, creamed rich,
Winter Sunday's finest whites are the pitch.

what’s the price of a poem
in cash, blood, sweat and tears
what experience suffered
how many months and years
what’s it worth to you
and will you be touched, pleased
will it explain, elucidate
will all your fears be eased
and did you see it coming
and appreciate it’s being
I think I wrote it for you
you are seeing what you’re seeing
if everything I ever
wrote, thought, memorised
came flooding back to haunt
I would be traumatised
and the pain that brings
the poem, screaming
tricks me into thinking
I was only ever dreaming
so, what’s the price of a poem
a collection of words skewed
up, down, all over the place
studied, read, discarded, viewed
it’s not the sentiment you leave
when you close the book
that moment came, happened, went
and you had to look
poems? ten a penny
a sad f*cker scribbling
giving his best, his darkest
and left dribbling
psst, want to buy a poem?
it’s price is negotiable
it won’t change your world
and is not guaranteed reliable.

THE RADIANCE of WORDS
T’ward darkened stage a spotlight throws a beam
Bright circle draws rapt focus of each mind
Now witness to a world newly defined
Of entities that live within this gleam
In theatre of life that may seem dark
Or filled with views chaotic and confused
A word can fix a focus to infuse
A sense, bringing illumination stark
When those of language currency may wield
Words purposed to deny a picture fair
But cast dark shades of turmoil and despair
By which truth is distorted and concealed
Then let the poets’ lucent words cast rays
To brighten and elucidate our ways
sometimes when my spirit is casting shades of blue
thoughts of you transform those shadowy hues...
misty rain on my face evaporate
into steamy sunshine
warming my soul
unbending my mind...
I started to say...
I’m lucky to have you in my life—
but God’s blessings out measures luck by far
mere words can-not elucidate the treasured gift you have been—
and still are...
Poetry came to my mind
A little late on hindsight
Yet it’s beauty of its own
Stop judging and believe you can own
Yes poetics are romantics
They elucidate the unfathomable
They create the unbelievable
Rumi was a poet
And so was Tagore
I hope to be my own
With wings I adore
purple tulips, the color of her toddler dress.
the leafy stems, her eyes.
the baby-blond hair, mom combs into a crest,
the sea will satisfy.
blond slowly turns brunette, tumbles
from Rapunzel’s tower, then gets shorn.
green waters, a dry oasis —
cerulean blue boundary.
open sesame with artificial drops.
wrinkle-protected eyes.
ears can’t hear what others say.
deaf and blindness make her appear wise.
guttural sounds - huh, eh, hmm.
smiles and nods as the tongues of the young,
like trumpets in her ear, elucidate their troubles.
she’s ironed out hers. they still exist.
still, she knows the outcome.
sediment of the sea shelled out to the deep.
sand sifts through her fingers.
sandcastles wash out, but i see
children carrying shovels and pails.
some have leafy-stem eyes and baby-blond hair.
