seafarers’ paradise
seven men drowned
when a ship sank under gigantic waves
seven weeks later
they appeared on the Island of Saragossa
where singing shanty is forbidden
but seaweed is served in 7 variations
by a female ship cook, the only woman
who had been welcomed
as mess-maid was not proper sailors
as for the dead they are soaking wet
it is what keep then going, and lives in caves
lit up by electric eel and blue sea stars
the carpenter has added shelves.
strict ranks are observed, the skippers have
the biggest cave, in a smaller cave, the chief steward
drink whisky from a flask that fills itself up
insist he is an officer, is in conflict with everyone.
since the island is timeless, no one knows or care
whether it is forenoon or afternoon
they listen to the cook’s bell, especially if curry is served
when it is summer, they swim with dolphins.

Every single individual has an expectation.
We are blinded by our greed and deception.
We expect one leader to set the pace.
Every single day, the hunt seems to advance.
We find what is true in our quest block.
It zaps us with an electric eel-like shock.
It's not the one in charge of our social life.
Between friends or family, we evade strife.
Love and friendship are what we seek.
Or a hill that we must soar to the peak.
We grasp our vitality from the love we feel.
Our freedom is driven in portion by this deal.
If we're lucky, our youth will be sans fear.
We'll dance in the green forests all year.

The Amazon
By C. Russell
Water flowing fiercely
Blue and green and brown;
I’m wanting to see clearly
Through your liquid gown!
The Armoured Catfish wriggles
Through the sticky mud.
Arapaima gliding,
Splashing with a thud!
The Tambaqui quietly
Searches for a seed
From the nearby rubber tree;
A giant fish indeed!
Pancake stingrays dancing
A watery ballet,
Piranhas darting here and there,
Inviting you to stay!
The electric Eel,
What can I say?
Don’t get too close,
Or you will pay!

Have you ever dated an electric eel?
You'll never forget the way it feels,
If you roll with an eel in the sack,
Brace yourself for that electric crack,
A hug will make your eyes bug out,
A kiss will make you twitch and shout,
Visions of eel love will burn in your head,
Check your pulse for you might be dead,
A date with an electric eel can be so exciting,
Like dancing with a bolt of lightning,
Sadly our love would never last,
But I have to say it was quite a blast.

There once was a young man called Neil,
Who fished with a hook, line and reel.
He got a few shocks,
That blew off his socks.
When he caught an electric eel.
Then Neil cast again, unafraid,
With his bait, rough cut marmalade.
This time with good luck,
He found on his hook.
A smiling, curvaceous mermaid.

It's not easy to thrive as a wild cat,
Though the preys eaten make them cute and fat,
This day,she was humbled,
As pride made her fumbled,
She sometimes lies like a beast on a mat.
Watching her prey with interest to kill,
Her muscles vibrate like electric eel,
Then the prey climbs a tree,
Which she couldn't for free,
Hunger looms today, which is not her will.
The prey smiles as he raises head high,
She looks up with her kids to the sky,
Sky rumbles with a sound,
As she grumbles around,
Rain will not bring him down,so..they cry...

Words can hurt and taste like dirt,
but I'm a worm in a polka dot shirt.
Words can be muddy, dirty to feel,
but I swim right by like an electric eel.
Words can be ugly and hard as stone,
but I end them like an unwanted call on my phone.
Words can pierce like daggers and blades,
but I bury them in my garden with rakes and spades.
Words can be pretty when given the sun,
and I mold them like playdough because it's fun.
Words can be whatever the letter sounds say
and the words I love the most are ones that play.

saturday morning pillow case
i used it for the first time at age adult
i remember when i had a life sentence every saturday morning
you could not peel my eyes away from that terrific tube of wonderfulness
saturday morning retro blanket
i used it for the first time on the day of my first grey hair
i remember when i had an organizer in my brain especially for saturday morning
you had to literally hit me in the head with a back brain mallet to bring me back to reality
saturday morning orange kool aid alarm clock
i used it for the first time on my first day of re-realization
i remember when on a saturday morning, time did not matter and had no adequate definition
you could not get me past saturday morning even with the electric eel rod of Monday's inevitable reminder of its unfortunate return....

Life Beyond The Deep.
Way down deep at the bottom of the sea
where life was busy, as busy as could be.
When the earth was sleeping the oceans were alive.
They say night time is the best when taking a dive.
Way down deep amidst the coral reef
there were fish as big as horses with very sharp long teeth.
Then shoals upon shoals, of all shapes and sizes.
Lobsters and crabs and crabs in disguises.
There are sharks big and small always looking for a meal.
Sting-rays, jelly-fish and the electric - eel.
Oysters and star-fish swim along the ocean bed
and in between the seaweed there are fish that like to
hide their head.
And all this goes on while your
in your beds fast asleep
When you think all's well and quiet
there's life beyond the deep.

Well theological mists and virtues are neither vermin nor trees on a landscape. But shutting ones door in a euthanasia style erosion is a correspondence and correlation with ones inner worlds. When ejecting from a small plane please adhere to the safety regulations. And regularly inspect harnesses to insure an even footed landing. Especially on a hymn sheet or a gymnasium. Supper time is a superb time for releasing previous gravitational thoughts. Pulling purely playing patio polo. And a whirl from a lemonade in a glass. Grinning. Grinding. Marvellous isnt it? And do make a bread with an inserted diamond. And a cake with an amethyst. Great. Wow. Interesting isn't it? Really long trek through a mountain of sentences is a journey indeed. Good. And goodbye. I knew I’d offended you, your smile
of hurt, the one reserved for whipped
spaniels; you use it too.
We didn’t speak as we strolled through
the woodland park , picking up acorns,
dropped by passing tree top squirrels
And when my hand brushed yours, you
pulled away, like a nervous electric eel,
stranded in the rainless mud
I knew I’d offended you.

When I awoke, I found I was in a different land
stood amongst trees and flowers made of sand
still holding the tv Tuna in my hand.
I walked in through the Crabs side door
and Floundered, couldn't feel my feet any more
they had gone from right under my nose
Why they were there in the first Plaice? Who knows?
The Crab wasn't home, so I left him a note
with no pen or paper, you may ask how was it wrote?
ahh, well, that's none of your business
but all the Fish know how it is.
Through the window, I see horses, oh Seahorses
Something sparked and made me squeal
I just trod on an Electric Eel
A smile Bream-ed wide across my face
as I plugged in my double Bass
rockin' out with Squid and George Martin
having a party in the Octopus' garden.
Oh such a happy place to be, below the waves and under the sea!

It grows in the desert on cacti.
It needs the heat and colorful sky.
Adventurers love what it brings.
Its a plant that can make you see things.
You feel like you are dancing with a star,
but you have no clue where you are.
They open up your mind to new dreams,
but they can also open up your screams.
Time will slow down and you'll wonder if this is real.
Then you might move around like an electric eel.
This brings more than just a hallucinogen,
it can bring you something called zen.
When you are out there, beware of the coyote,
because he might ask you for some of your peyote.

Teal quacking loudly.
Swam by Teak growing by lake.
Headed who knows where.
An electric eel,
becomes light to a dark world,
No matter how deep!
