She says I’m so fun,
then claims that we’re done,
she says she hates me,
then wants my babies.
first she wants her man,
then says, “Go use your hand.”
She stares at my eves,
then says I’m full of lies.
The aggravation…
the resignation…
I think I’ve had enough
of her bipolar love.
Bipolar love.
She dreams of houses,
then only grouses,
wants to show me off,
then snaps, “Just get lost.”
One day she’s a dream,
and the next only screams,
How do I deal with that?
In love with only half...
The real confusion…
the sad delusions…
I think I’ve had enough,
of her bipolar love.
Bipolar love.
I want to love her,
and not be disturbed,
hope she gets well,
but half the time it’s hell.
It this allright?
Am I justified?
This is not her fault…
but drives me up the wall.
Mishmash of feelings…
it leaves me reeling…
I think I’ve had enough,
of her bipolar love.
Bipolar love.
The boiler man is due to call
I’m hoping its Peter or Paul -
Not Fred, he’s a numpty
He’s nasty and grumpy
His moaning drives me up the wall!
FICTION POEM
9/1/19
Why can't I play with shiny balls
And climb that Christmas Tree
Why bring a tree into the house
Then say it's not for me
Why can't I help with wrapping paper
I love to play with twine
Oh please, I only want to help
While you sit and sip your wine
I love to smell your kitchen odours
Turkey, pork and ham by the ton
That cooking drives me up the wall
But then I act the sneaky one
That's when you kick me out the door
You really spoil my fun, and that's for sure
Every single time we fight, the honesty seems to kill him,
He would rather turn his back to it than to humbly admit them,
He will search up every justifiable cause to make him look like the victim,
And then takes absolutely no responsibility for his actions when they hit him,
When out of love the truth comes out, he points his finger to blame,
As if I stole something precious to him, but he forgets he gave it away,
And then I sit and ponder, why in the world he would give his heart to me,
If when every time I tell him the truth to protect him, than I'm the enemy,
Can't he see what it is he's doing as he throws this love away,
And yet every time he's down in the dumps, he comes back to me again,
And every time he ventures back and wants an honest opinion,
I pray God gives me the words to say with an open heart and a ton of patience,
He's got a hot headed temper that drives me up The wall,
But I love him so much, I let him blow off steam, and wait for him to get calm,
I can stare straight into his eyes and say I love you any way,
Sometimes he even gets mad at me when I remain calm, but my love for him will never change.
I have a little baby who drives me up the wall
The baby will not listen to any thing at all
It runs around like crazy and messes up the house
I wonder where it is when it is quiet as a mouse
The baby's into everything and is a constant pest
it never seems to know that there is danger in it's quest
The baby makes me worried that it may hurt itself
By getting into unsafe things I've put up on a shelf
The baby got me angry when it broke a lovely dish
and made me mad when I saw that it killed all of my fish
but even at it's worst I don't wish to cause it pain
I want to keep it safe and sound which helps to keep me sane
I think I'll have to teach it that it has to toe the line
before the little devil drives me right out of my mind
I know I have an answer now to keeping baby safe
I'm not sure that it's legal but I must make it behave
I know where baby is now at any time of day
I also know that it is safe and where it has to play
It isn*t in the bedroom, in the kitchen or the hall
I have it in the living room taped up against the wall
when you are with a woman...
what is so hard bout being there for her every need
what is so hard bout being there for her at all
she chose you for a reason
one i can't fathom
from reality your spinal cord had a chronic continuous spasm
i wish my girls well in their conquests
i wish my girls the best
when they end up with punks who can't hold her own
it drives me up the wall
from sanity simple... you have seemed to fall
how can you look in the mirror and not cry
how can you call yourself a man... much less even a guy
how dare you criticize me, a woman... who can fulfill your shoes with more
to spare
a shame you exist at all...
for some reason my girl for you proceeds to care
I love life I love people
I love people I will meet a week from today
but you, my child... you lack
BACKBONE
that to you is all I can say
