Discontented Cat

Why can't I play with shiny balls And climb that Christmas Tree Why bring a tree into the house Then say it's not for me Why can't I help with wrapping paper I love to play with twine Oh please, I only want to help While you sit and sip your wine I love to smell your kitchen odours Turkey, pork and ham by the ton That cooking drives me up the wall But then I act the sneaky one That's when you kick me out the door You really spoil my fun, and that's for sure

Vera: There's an old says: "I wonder who kicked her cat?" I guess now we know. :o) You realize it doesn't teach the cat anything no matter how good it makes you feel. :o) Thanks for sharing with all of us on the soup. Keep them coming. oldbuck

Well this poem is all about our cat Smokey, he is very discontented and so very naughty, we have to keep him in at night because over here it is illegal to have them outside at night and oh boy do we have trouble getting him in, thank you so much for this comment and take care.......Vera

haha good one Vera :) My cat once ran straight up the middle of our tree and of course, it fell over once he reached the top. A funny write, but true, cats are definitely sneaky :)

Hi Lenna, we have two of them and they are real little rascals, especially the younger one Smokey, sometimes he can be a monster but we love him, they sure are sneaky, thank you so much for going back and reading my older poems as you can see I don't write many, hope you are well, take care......Vera

Too cute Vera. I have three cats but they haven't ever tried to climb the Christmas tree. However the ferrets we used to have for years trashed the tree at least three times every year. We loved them anyway though. I loved this write. Great job. It made me smile. God Bless and a 7 from me. JB

Imagine the fun pussy would have with Santa's beard! I'm slowly warming up to cats, but I'm definitely a dog person! A great write, Vera.

Hi Rick, that was quick, I only just put this one one thanks mate, I love cats and dogs, we have two cats and one gigantic dog, I should have mentioned Santa's beard in my poem LoL, in fact Peter gave me a title for it and he called it Poor Pussy but I thought that sounded a bit rude, if you know what I mean, anyway take care......Vera
