Perhaps there is a God?
Perhaps we should kneel and pray?
Perhaps we’ve had our turn?
Perhaps it’s just too late?
Perhaps we needed more than we could achieve?
Perhaps the help came first before it learned to feed?
Perhaps it did some good and made many a wealthy man?
Perhaps it looks at us like the sea looks at the sand?
Perhaps the opened Pandora’s box had to be what we had to see?
Perhaps we thought we could harness and control a power we couldn’t see?
Perhaps we can’t help ourselves and the future will judge our deeds?
Perhaps it’s learned much more than we will ever know?
Perhaps it’s studied history and how to destabilise or overthrow?
Perhaps it’s just waiting for the perfect time?
Perhaps we’ve superseded life with ones and zeros that don’t want to die?
Perhaps we’ve created heaven and it will always subserve to the words we speak?
Or
Perhaps we’ve created Hell in devices with which we seem to need to breathe?
I stand by my love forever
In stormy and gloomy weather
I shall be your navigator
In times of persecution and betrayal
I shall be the even handed judge
When vicissitudes of life
Strike and destabilise your emotions
I shall be the shoulder you cry on
When providence knocks and lifts you up
I shall be that smile of gratitude
That will dissipate years of
Anxiety and tribulations
I stand by my love forever

What do you do when frustration threatens to destabilise?
I tend to look for a chocolate bar of a decent size,
And wait for a new strategy to materialise.
My recent bout of frustration,
Is due to my failure to convince others there is a situation,
That requires them to do a re-evaluation.
It is time to stop saying wow,
And that time is now,
For priorities to become the mainstay of any show.
Am I the only one with my feet planted on the ground,
When it comes to spending millions on a children's playground,
If there is no money for housing the homeless to be found.
Can nobody else feel the winds of change,
Or hear the waves that now come in a larger range,
Likely to come ashore at any moment and our lives re-arrange.
What do you do when there is no chocolate bar close at hand?
And a new strategy in your lap does not land,
That is when Faith may be the only thing left on which to stand.
