The rain came down,
The pond overflowed through village paths.
The fishes, reared with patient care,
Swamed to freedom.
They darted through rills and drains,
Caught in casting nets,
Some speared in the yards,
Where rushing streams swept by.
The farmer, with hurried stride
Through drains and rills,
Tried to catch fish,
Casting his gaze with weary aim,
Pondering where the fishes gone.

A pool in the shade.
water torn with small ripples.
goldfish darted up and down,
in limpid water.
when the carp leaped suddenly,
I heard the pond's melody.

Ok God hear it is
I spent eons perfecting an animal that cares about nothing I call it a……Cat
Gabriel beams as he places it gently in Gods lap
Could you please remove it
It is making a weird noise
and is constantly nipping me with its claws
Sorry your Lordness
Gabriel lifted the cat from his maker
Before we begin the test
I hope this is better than your last attempts
What was it again….God stroked his head
Yes the Dodo
The duck filled platypus
Oh and let’s not forget the humans
So …., shifting back on her throne…..test 1
Obey your maker
Come here……his finger pointing just beside her feet
The cat drew its eyes and darted off in chase of some flickering light
Okay good start…but let’s not celebrate too soon
Gabriel
Her me Cat sit
she sat transfixed by the cat
as it curled itself into a donut and fell asleep he glanced at Gabriel………very impressive
The cat leapt from its prone position
It jerks in juxtaposition with its grunts
Finally ending its exorcism in a matted tuft of regurgitated fur

Abracadabra did not work for joy
Her references backed by Leroy Tolstoy
She threw the spells out and went with her soul
Succeeding with the monsters, her ultimate goal
Instinctive chants from her expanding diaphragm
Jeepy Jappy Jumble Jolly Jee Jam
She snapped her thumb and the elixir lit red hot
Neon green too, then it began to dance and trot
Slivers of light darted left and right through the air
She could feel empowerment from everywhere
Abracadabra might work for the others
But she needed direction from her ancestral mothers
The room began to hum, whistle and sing
Pink curtains were jumping, chandelier did swing
Jeepy Jappy Jumble Jolly Jee Jam was the perfect chant.
For 7th daughter of 7th daughter, witch Millicent.

A bluebird came streaking violently out of Central Park,
it blurred over the lanes of traffic towards 220.
I flinched in anticipation of the impact,
but at the last second it darted directly up,
as if caught in a sudden wind current.
“Did you see that?” I asked Lisa.
She didn’t, her phone was jiggling.
My boyfriend left yesterday
He had to leave before New Year’s eve!
he has to work and cannot play
he finally gets to run the hadron collider
go get em’ tiger
but I’ve decided
you can’t fight the zeitgeist
that when the cats away
the girls will have their day.
Someone start the music please,
because it’s NEW YEARS Eve!
Happy New Year’s Eve everyone!

Let's strive to keep 'Christmas' alive in our hearts...always. Merry Christmas!
The Christmas Heart is bright with light
as it recalls that miraculous night
but let's consider what often happens...
when festivities wane...our Joy dampens~
The Christmas Heart must try to stay full
and resist the world's tempting pull...
to snatch us from His Peace and Love
which is ever falling from above~
Often, Celebration of His Birth is darted
but be aware...Christ...has not departed
thus, as we travel through this season
make now this vow to keep the...reason~
And as the time and months spin on
with the glimmer of yule-tide gone
take note to be careful...lay not aside
a rendered gift of Bethlehem's Pride...
The Christmas Heart~

A chana orientalis kept in my chamber's light
trapped in a pot
throughout the night
intermittently leaped and splashed
seeking escape from its limited chance
in the pot half filled with water
covered with a bowel's soft round.
In the morning next day
the fish freed from the watery bed
released in the wide courtyard tank
where it swimed with newfound pride
Wih greater freedom it darted and swirled
a metaphor of liberation's art
where boundaries break
and spirits restart.
It's movement spoke a passionate plea
a celebration of being freed
no longer confined by the narrow walls
now swimming with unbridled delight.

I've walked in the light and shadows of kings
I've sung songs that were both chains and wings
Elixirs of sorrow I've both sipped and poured
And ive proven and disreguarded both legends and lore
I've devoured and spewed all of my needs
And ive displayed and hidden all of my pleas
I have carried and discarded all of my wants
And i have darted and detracted all of my taunts
I've always ran quickly so i could slow down
And I've tried to find the end of whats coming around
i entertain my angels with all of my sins
And I've played both hero and villian so i could win

suddenly he was back on the table
The neon hum returning in unison with the lights
The chest cavity which a moment ago was opened
was somehow healed
no scar tissue
and held clasped to his chest
was a thin A4 sized book
it’s cover was black
but not like a matt finish
it seemed to undulate
like trickling oil
but a thin gold line cut into one corner
where his fingers touched the cover
whirlpool of luminous blue rippled across book
My eyes darted between my colleagues and the scalpel I held in my hand
back to my patient
His eyes flashed open
gone was any colour
just darkness
but somehow in the darkness movement

Your darted arrow of Venus impales
Our demise persists through our veins
The echo in my heart is hopeless
What is love when death skims the surface?

I wandered through the woodlands green
And heard the birdsong fill the air
I saw the little streams serene
With speckled trout that darted there
I felt the breeze upon my face
And smelled the fragrance of the flowers
I marveled at the natural grace
And wished to linger for some hours
But then I heard a distant bell
That called me back to toil and strife.
I bade the woodlands a farewell.
And turned to face the road of life.

I awoke to screaming
while my bedmate slept,
telepathic scheming
from the dark world
where evil crept.
My body curled
my mind darted
and skin leapt.
Reality faded; illusion started.
I awoke to screaming,
where evil crept.
Reality faded; illusion started.

It came,
piercing the bright air
above the garden
with a sudden presence,
the first dragonfly
of the season. It darted
and hovered over me,
glistening in a spellbinding
grid of movement.
What was weighted
down and stuck
in the sludge
of a long winter reached
after its fleeting shadow.
Shackled forms hiding
in the weedy depths looked
upwards towards
a transformation.
Somewhere near,
fragile wings began to unfold
in the shape of a prayer.

within a teacup of time
the smooth ripples
of a shallow pond
break apart
some fright or tremor
has disturbed
the movement of the water
a gloom hangs
upon a heavier air
the skimming swallows
have darted away
the willow trees rattle
did time blink
perhaps
eyes mistook a sparrow
for a vulture
the pond shivers
then the dark moment
forgets itself
once more
the willows long green tendrils
gently brush
the face of the water

At some point you and I became we,
my hopes became yours to share.
When did I realize we would become one?
Was it that spring, when the trees were pink with apple
blossoms and songbirds darted among the reeds and
we walked by the river speaking innumerable
sentences and you held my hand and told me your dreams?
