Come On Darlin

For Aunt Carolyn, in memory of Uncle Dennis

They were just teens outside a gift shop door,
He said, "Come on, Darling, let’s go explore."
With a wink and a grin, and her hand in his,
They stepped into life, not knowing how rare love like this is.

From navy bases to state lines they flew,
Boxes unpacked and smiles that grew.
Never a house—always a home,
Because love made each place their own.

He’d kiss her forehead, she'd fix his tie,
Even their bickering made cupids sigh.
Like teenagers dancing in a kitchen floor war,
Even their "fights" left you loving them more.

They held hands through hospital halls,
Through birthday cake crumbs and late-night calls.
And even when life was painfully tough,
They reminded us all—true love is enough.

Now she stands where he once stood near,
A bit more quiet, but holding him dear.
Because the thing about love that’s truly true—
Is it doesn’t end. It just waits for you.

So Aunt Carolyn, brave heart, please know this is true:
He’s just ahead now, saving a seat for you.
Still saying with that boyish grin so clever:
"Come on, Darling... let’s do forever."

Marry me darlin

I love you,
I want to marry you,
Because if it's someone else,
They will definitely hurt you,

I understand you,
I know when to show love,
When not to,
Where to love you,

On your difficult days I love you even more,
I'll handle all your anger,
I'll handle all your mood swings,
I will not complain,

Give me your sorrow,
Give me your sadness,
I will hug you tighter,
I will give you love,

All I want is you to stay with me,
Because your love is the best thing I ever felt,
You are my happiness,
You are the reason to my confidence,

Let us be successful,
Let's show our parents that we are,
Good friends who always comes back after a fight,
Better team trying hard to win at life,
Best couple who loves one another no matter what.

Parents in this world want their children to be happy,
They might not get us at first,
But let us make them understand da,
We can do this, trust each other.

Darlin

She loves the ballparks,
and goes to Symphany halls.
She loves God but not religion.
She cusses and curses,
gets drunk on sailors,
yet her heart’s an open daisy.

In Kentucky they call her
‘darlin’,
In West Virgina
they call her ‘darlin’,
in Tennessee, they call her
‘darlin’.
In Alabama they call her
‘honey’ or 'sugar'.

In New York City they call her ‘baby’
through a gritty windpipe.

She slums it with the rich,
walks tall with the poor,
and she never, ever
will be misappropriated,
by words, labels,
or given names.

Darlin

These low hills are running with deer this morning,
they have come down to graze on the sweetest grass.
On the meadows buttercups have carpeted
the bottom land with sunshine.

In summer darlin used to bathe in that crick yonder.
Long gone now.

The years turn and the cabin gets more rickety,
but I ain't moving on.

I hunt a little,
once in a while go down to the 711store
in the small dusty town
for some vittles, to gas my old Chevy truck,
find the feller who sells fresh buds,
smoke a little on the porch.

Last night when the moon was full and so low
I swear a person would have thought
to touched it.
Watching the dusky tree-line
change the shape of the light,
I thought I saw darlin, walking up the hill
toward me.

I put the bruski down and wiped my eyes,
heart thumping,
but it was only a pretty white tailed doe
heading for home
and I sure wanted to follow.

Darlin

From the first moment that i meet you
i knew right away there was something about you
that i needed and craved.

Over the last few months that
we have gotten to know one other
I am starting to see completely

Your truly amazing in every way and I'm lucky enough
to have you you're a amazing soul and bring everyone happiness
thank you for being mine.

Looking forward to seeing what the future holds

Darlin

Darling
Don't ask me
What I want from you...
I'll say nothing.

Don't give me things
That I can get myself
I don't need them.

Don't tell me you
Can give me your all
I don't know your all.

Don't ask me what I need
I don't know what I need
Till the second I need it...

I won't ask for anything,
Its who I am.
If you choose to do so
Then do it without saying,
Actions speaks louder than words...
But my words speaks louder than actions.

_______________________

 My dearest love,
 my bestest friend
 you have my heart
 until the end.

 My heart beats,
 and it's for you
 together always
 shall we be true.

 I had searched,
 you I found
 forever and always
 we are bound.

 A piece of paper,
 I changed my name
 I know you well
 you know me the same.

My love for you,
 it wont fail
 to get to you
 I'd walk through hell.

 The day I die,
 I'll wait for you
 at the gate
 we'll both walk through.

 I love you darlin,
 just want you to know
 together forever
 I wont let go.

Little Darlin

Oh little darlin
dream your little dreams
rest your weary head
in your bed
and try not to think of me

oh i know that your heart
is so soft and true
but believe me baby when i say yeah
that i'm no good for you
no good for you now

and i won't stick around
i won't put my foot in that door
because i know it's too hard little girl
to go back to how things really were before now

oh i said, i said to you
that you can't be thinking bout me no
and i said to you darlin
why can't you let things go

but i see that you're a hard girl to try and lie to
you won't buy this game from me anymore no
but you can't think of me little darlin
i'm not standing here outside your door anymore

no oh oh
no no no no
no oh i say
i won't do this anymore
