Little Darlin

Oh little darlin
dream your little dreams
rest your weary head
in your bed
and try not to think of me

oh i know that your heart
is so soft and true
but believe me baby when i say yeah
that i'm no good for you
no good for you now

and i won't stick around
i won't put my foot in that door
because i know it's too hard little girl
to go back to how things really were before now

oh i said, i said to you
that you can't be thinking bout me no
and i said to you darlin
why can't you let things go

but i see that you're a hard girl to try and lie to
you won't buy this game from me anymore no
but you can't think of me little darlin
i'm not standing here outside your door anymore

no oh oh
no no no no
no oh i say
i won't do this anymore
