SOUTHERN CROSSES I

Electric Line's sway,
spider webs of industry
along a rocky lane under
a hot southern sun, cicada…
cry high, into the crystal blue sky
We are a ghost nation
of Man’s hypocrisy
crossing shadows under a hard
noonday sky.

The empty road under the leaning
Electric crosses of civilization
Shadows fall, carving silhouettes into
Upon hitting noonday ground
Humanity lost all reason
Along a rocky, dusty road
As day bleeds into a hot
Southern night
Crickets cry high

As the moon rides the
White galleons of cloudscapes
As star falls in infernal southern sky
Frogs sing the song of endless rain
As electric crosses lean
Under the halogen of streetlights

Crosses stand, lean to and fro
Like graves of the day
Souls drift and sway
As a nation is lost along the way
Bought and sold
While electric crosses align
A forgotten road
Of a Nowhere nation, undone…
Watching all fold…!

Driving Wheels, Crosses On The Side Of The Road

Crosses on the side of the road;
Belief in passengers goes by —
Where wrecked light within flowers grow,
Crosses on the side of the road
That besides the glass window hold,
A memory's attest to time —
Crosses on the side of the road,
Belief in passengers goes by —

Love Crosses the Borders

Love is born in our hearts
Our hearts make it grow
It matures within us unconditionally

Unconditionally, it grows among people
People from here and there
There is no limit for true love

True love has no explanation
Explanation makes it grow in us
Develops for someone on a foreign land

Love remains the core of our existence
Existence God put in humans
Humans across the borders

Borders separating people
People break barriers due to love
Love is boundaryless, colorless and ageless
And ageless develops another love in older humans
Humans of wisdom and natural affection

What crosses the line

What crossed the line with you
Was it something said or a thing to do
Did you suffer it in silence made
And wonder at the next escapade

Is it a memory held deep down
That surfaces like a buoy in ocean bound
To bob and ring its bell
Knowing it is part of your private hell

So what will you do about such a thing
Do you let it intrude once you hear its ring
Or sink it down to founder and drown
Not letting it breath or bob around.

Premium MemberThe Three Crosses

The middle cross, 'redemption' declares,
God's love revealed through Jesus Christ's death,
His body broken, sin's brunt, He bears;
One thief by His side, 'rejection' shows,
Mocked Christ's deity, offered no pray'rs,
Gave up his only chance at heaven;
The other one totally despairs,
Fears God ere taking his final breath,
'Reception' of Christ - paradise heirs.

Weeds and Such

I
I travel alone, sometimes with Wendolene
But shorter trips done alone if I feel bored
I talk to weeds. Some bear brilliant buds, beings

II
Little rocks jump up and converse, too -
Take me home, paint a cross, for children
Call it your little rock ministry

III
Across the miles, weeds & rocks console me
They nurture what's hurt, need another touch
Not always human, but more sensitive?

Improvised, Noughts and Crosses

"Improvised, Noughts and Crosses"

points strung
pearls lacking
wisdom scattered
poetically,
of no large matter
rolling lost across a floor
stuck in the cracks
hidden in strange corners,
what do points matter;
when connected
unbroken,
the creative heart
improvised united,
becomes beautiful
more pure,
of some composed
great importance,
love like magic,
lifts the room
vibrating higher
by score

the lost pearls.
points wedged
in strange corners,
hear the sound

lifted, they
understand,
it all

improvised,
vibrating higher
by score

Crosses

Signposts for a highway
Heavenly bound?
Or just markers, letting on
The dead are found?

Premium MemberThree Crosses

One cross
Left side
Silent bore the shame of cursed
Guilt, with scant remorse and no
Small scoff
Unfearful of
Dying breath.

Middle rood
Central one
Focus of the centuries distant yon
Condemned to die for all, Godson
Giving weak
Lost souls
Eternal life.

One cross
Right side
Afraid to pay earned shameful debt
Seeks absolution for crimes of theft
Pleads now
For saving
Unmerited grace.

If chickens have feet,
Why run across the street?
Do chickens have teeth?
And can they eat candy?
What do they put in chicken feed anyway?

Premium MemberRugged Crosses

For me,
but not for my kids,
it was The Old Rugged Cross
teaching my ego/eco-logic crossed
to believe adults could deprive their Earthly minds
of sacred co-passionate investment
and yet thrive uniformly healthy bodies
of equitable wealthy,
yet sacrificially lonely,
dignity.

Not until I uncovered
The Blessings of the Earth and Sky (K. Patton, J.S. Bach)
did I think to wonder win/win why
Earth and sky, crossed and yet recovered
more resilient Earthly bodies together, than apart,
with skyward polyphonic minds soaring
not uniform aspiring
prey avoiding predators
yet unity inspiring Earth's communal co-relationships.

How ever did we get this strange left-brain nightmare,
wealthy bodies
can be severed,
crossed out
away from mental passion for health,
co-responsive
interdependent webs
of Earth and Sky
secular and sacred,
liberating science and liberal multi-enculturing arts,
integrity's double-crossed communion
of Earth's original healthing wealthy purpose.

Many religions utilize, the symbol of the cross;

Intended to eliminate the Christian/Pagan schism;
Christians believed they were saving humanity.

Ancient Egyptians, had the Ankh; symbol of eternal life;
it’s ring’s at the top; it’s said to be male and female.
Pharaohs worshipping the Aten carried it to the afterlife;
Tutt’s Dad, Akhenaten, worshiped Ra; Ra was a male.

Cross’s Origin, Ancient Chaldea;
original symbol for Tau.

Notes: The Cross originated in Ancient Chaldea .aka. Babylon where, it resembled the symbol for the Tao; the crossbar was, lowered by the Roman Catholics and adopted as their symbol. Jesus was, actually nailed to an upright pole.

Aten was the disk representing the Sun, in Ancient Egypt. It was representative of the Monotheistic Religion of Akhenaten; King Tutt’s Father. The disk was the symbol for the Sun God Ra.

Tough Losses, Rough Crosses

Harden not your heart when humble pie lands on your plate
Rubbing your pride in the mud
Nudging your memory, reminding you it ain’t too late to debate
Whether crushing with a thud

Kills, steals or heals
Your longing pride
That feels
Too big to deride the ride

Into peacock attitudes
Built and overblown over the years
To delude yourself you’ve soared to such lofty latitudes
You can’t roll back the years to join volunteers

Who willingly accept the loss
Suffered in soccer
Where World Cup match outcomes toss
Out Spain, France, Argentina, Spain, or Brazil with no rancor

To entertain
Today or tomorrow
To ascertain, maintain or retain
Sanity, dignity, humanity in your bone marrow.
