Improvised, Noughts and Crosses

"Improvised, Noughts and Crosses"

points strung
pearls lacking
wisdom scattered
poetically,
of no large matter
rolling lost across a floor
stuck in the cracks
hidden in strange corners,
what do points matter;
when connected
unbroken,
the creative heart
improvised united,
becomes beautiful
more pure,
of some composed
great importance,
love like magic,
lifts the room
vibrating higher
by score

the lost pearls.
points wedged
in strange corners,
hear the sound

lifted, they
understand,
it all

improvised,
vibrating higher
by score

You my dear friend are indeed a poet's poet. Your creations constantly awe me. Ihave in my 50 plus years in poetry reading /writing read and studied almost all of the top/famous poets. You in my estimation rate in that group. A fav. And God bless.

Your words ring truth and yes some should see/understand far better what other poets are doing , saying, feeling and perhaps even living in the lives, in their words. With that knowledge have/show empathy rather than negative thoughts/replies and a desire to limit those earnest poets. I think far too much tearing down of other poets goes on here, especially so in the recent past. Life is too short for that , imho. Best to read , else not read or else not comment if one dislikes the poetry a person presents. Why think it is ok to try to hurt, tear down or limit that poet? As some do or else have done in the past. Kindness marks a person as of fine character and brings back rewards to those that practice it, imho. Your poetry stands well against those that seek to limit it or else bally-ho it as if it is substandard. It most defnitely is not. God bless.

I am like many other writers here...compelled to write. Once in a while a corker comes out that 'makes sense'. Logically, I think I am compelled to write to make sense out of what has occurred in the past, what is happening now and to ... where the future. Conceits and metaphors, to me, are another language and poetry a way to concatenate and disassemble the reality with some romantic application. Life, to me, is a jigsaw puzzle with pieces to be removed and placed to fit...poetry to me, is the beautiful imperfect perfect code.

I loved this Benfold's improvisation, because it demonstrates how we are all connected, just like a symphony and if, we all connected like the student musicians in his improvised symphony, then what a joyous world we would exist in. But it takes 'connectedness' and the emotional intelligence of unity to succeed in that endeavour. Perhaps we are all too reptilian in mind, in our current evolution for that to happen; but perhaps one day, we will all be united and understand we need to be, for our survival and to continue to exist in 'peace'.

To alleviate competitiveness (noughts & crosses), perhaps will alleviate the suffering and deficiency in our world. We are all 'human', no one is better than the other, we are all part of the 'orchestra'. Yet, we exist with Light and Dark, and for total unity to occur, Dark would have to be totally eradicated. Is this possible, without some might say, divine intervention? The application of the word "crosses" could also relate to the concept of Christ consciousness - that is win-win for everyone, is it not? It just goes to show what can be created/orchestrated with connected Love and passion. I also love music and the idea of using that to demonstrate the realisation of that dream of world 'unity' - seemed logical, to me. Poets are very closely aligned to musicians, artists and philosophers (in fact, they are all those, and maybe more).

I have no qualms extending my thoughts here in the comment boxes for consideration by readers and other 'writers'/'poets', for those who wish to inject 'positive' and constructive discussion/thoughts. I am not at all interested in negative and disruptive connotations, for the sake of lynching comeuppance, which seems to occur regularly in other poets' comment boxes here, where a poet is torn to bits as if by piranhas, at worst rabid political lobbyists. If win-win cannot be delivered, where is the beauty in creating poetry and in Life. Some people in this place, in these platforms, are writing for their lives and if other poets are insensitive to the extreme where they are eviscerating the other, great damage can be done to another human. To achieve the graciousness of 'elevating' another, requires a level of emotional intelligence and empathy, and begins at home base first, before extension.
