Driving Wheels, Crosses On The Side Of The Road

Crosses on the side of the road; Belief in passengers goes by — Where wrecked light within flowers grow, Crosses on the side of the road That besides the glass window hold, A memory's attest to time — Crosses on the side of the road, Belief in passengers goes by —

So sad when a life or many lives have been lost on the side of the road. Those passerby's, their loved ones never forget that tragic moment. Your thoughts touch my heart. My best to you, Paige. Hugs, Brandy

This is a well written triolet. It causes my senses to be aware of the responsibility of driving. I feel sorry every time I see a new cross.

Paige, the subtlety of your triolet conceals the depth of its moving sentiment. You have a way with words that conveys the tragic elegance of roadside fatalities and tragedies.

Dear Paige, the petite package of your triolet belies the immense power of its soulful, poignant emotion. You capture roadside tragedy and loss of life with sad, heart-wrenching beauty. Where these crosses dot the road, the memory of someone lives on in family and friends, but even in those unknown, who fleetingly observe as they drive by. Warmest wishes my dear poet friend.. ~Susan

It's always heartbreaking to see those little crosses along the road. Memory of a tragedy, but for some a reminder of the hope that they will see them again. At least that's what I got from this Paige
