A man's joke could not trigger laughter:
A good one about helicopter
Some poor guy often flew in dreams
While in true life could not pay for creams;
Audience of joke cracker creditors,
Who needed prompt cash for auditors;
Three with him for their thousand dollars,
On that day joke cracker's First callers.
"So, why these tales about helicopter
And opening an unwished chapter?"
Tales might veer to roofs of rafter
Now left for Generations after...
Joke got the more intolerable,
When he said not things honorable
They are not leaving him just, like that
Each need to show rat he'd turned a cat
Yes, jokes could fall flat for bad timing
And one can't restore them with miming.

The undertaker anticipates a better day
His plans include some needed lawnmowing,
He winds up two ne'er-do-wells stowing
Without resources their expenses to pay
The mere cost for a proper putting-away,
While his grass continues to grow knee high
As he waits for a moneyed man to die
Someone to keep his creditors at bay,
Such a day does make for sleepless nights
Hoping for the best, needing the worse
To make the payment on his brand new hearse.

Then arrived The Promised Day!
But Boss seemed not he would pay
Devoted staff kept at bay
Thirty faces no more gay…
Creditors: Do what you may;
Owed teachers might have their say:
He won’t stop who will not stay,
Still shall sack who dares to play
Lesson-Note Writing Time slay,
Comment on his hair now grey,
Or when he says “Yep” says “Nay”
Or peas pick from the same tray…
Long Patience is The Sun Ray,
Protests lead workers astray;
The Great Grandfather of Fray.

Women know which men to marry
And Normal Woman won’t tarry;
To keep praising her Sir Barry
But it’s going to be Larry,
Barry to keep giving her Garri
To keep enjoying it Larry…
And she’d keep flirting with Harry,
Who her great burdens does carry;
Ceremonial thanks to Zorro
Who in her behalf would borrow,
Promising creditors morrow
But bed-time sleeping in sorrow…
Poor Zorro who does hard soils harrow
And watch over sows that farrow.

No repentance in grave:
The Holies don’t the company of sinners crave.
It’s no mere echoing of a Bible verse:
A trillion woes await the indicted hearse.
Every Deity should feel A Perfect Fool
Forgiving The Now-Lifeless with a stony look,
All subjects upholding the rule
That at a transgressor should be thrown the book.
One doesn’t repent, when it’s time to decay
Or mention a debt one's creditor no longer wants one to pay.

He goes through each day
obsessing over how to
increase his earnings.
Times are hard.
He's drowning in debt;
his bills gradually piling up.
Creditors bug him so much,
he feels like screaming;
soon landlord will come knocking.
He consolidated his loans;
it hasn't made much of a difference
He asked his boss for overtime,
nothing doing.
He applied for a second job,
no dice. He's still waiting for a call back.
He wants to start a home business,
but doesn't enough start up cash.
Desperation is gradually setting in.
He's put unneeded clothes
on consignment,
he's holding garage sale,
rationing food,
clipping coupons,
exercising for free,
shopping in thrift stores,
bicycling to work
and he's cut cable television
down to basic. Anything...
to decrease his spending.

For endurance, humans can outrun all animals
Except for creditors who are basically cannibals
Who woulda thunk it
Faster than baboon's wit
But baboons win if you slide on a banana

Determined to save him she emptied her bank account.
It saved him for six weeks and two days.
Then he ran out on her.
She was pregnant of course.
He came back after the baby was born.
He needed her to get a second mortgage on her house.
He was in big trouble; his creditors were threatening bodily harm.
She wondered why he did not use a bank.
Not realizing he had no credit or legitimate job.
He picked up the baby and acted glad,
So she got the second mortgage.
He stayed around until the baby started to walk.
By then he had another problem.
She wanted to save him, but she had to ask her parents.
Initially they said ‘no’.
Because they wanted to see the baby, they finally agreed.
She saved him from a beating for a second time.
She and her parents both lost their houses, but he is gone now.
Found dead in an alley.
Sadly she could not save him from perpetually living on the edge.

Has the future made a profit
by selling out your dreams
Marking up expectations,
closing out self esteem
Interest bearing hopes uncashed,
wishes in arrears
Creditors loom, the past foreclosed
—tomorrow paid in tears

I once knew a man named Barry
Whose disposition was never merry.
His mouth was down turned
Until one day he learned
That his numbers were picked
And he didn’t owe a lick
To the creditors that flicked
Their threats daily.
Lighthearted and free
He turned to Miss Bree,
And with glee his voice
Said let us rejoice.
Together they dined
And drank expensive wine.
She was looking mighty fine
Barry said would you be mine?
With an eye on his money
She said, sure honey.
Now they are wed
And it has been said
Barry has never been happier.

Release your taxes, no previous guilty verdicts,
No trail of stiffed creditors, no history of predatory
Sexual activity, no bullying or name calling,
No negative opinions of people of color or
Preferential opinions of white nationalist organizations,
No obvious lying, no golfing when you can't play
Without cheating, no cheating on your wife,
No picking homophobic vice presidents,
Must have a college writing and reading level,
No accusing or insulting falsely sitting presidents,
Hero senators or opponents, must have a sharp
Memory and no bone spurs, don't hire the
Best of the best that turn out to be the worst of the worst,
No setting policy that hurts America, don't hate those
Who don't do your illegal bidding and like those
Who kiss your ass, can't be a hypocrite and you can't
accuse the media of fake news when you have been fake all your life.

My son pay ear to my warning
Cosigning makes you pay
You are working for family
You are not paying for man
Do not go signing papers
You are digging yourself a hole.
Creditors are scything plants
Chiseling money out of stones
Statues are swimming in oceans
Mars is waging war
The dogs are snarling
Suckers are falling prey
Do not sign man's papers
You are selling children.

Stray ghouls are just zombie shrunken heads
being voodoo capitalist misled
Ricochet fishing for the ocean blue,
deep pocket dollars:
The green algae money
buried at the ethical wavy,
graveyard bottom
Hollow days come every pointless, peon payday,
as creditors delight
in debt shopping their widow maker wares
The pillaging, high priestess of bloodsport pleasure
lay many burglar, prey desires bosom bare
Inorganic idols ... phallic-shaped things;
moral mettle melts
at first grove, sacrificial trigger offering
Heated cries coming from
empty vow chambers
Crosshair eyes scope the killing view
Snuff the stitched mouths ...
get paid by the aged, smoking barrel
Follow the lemming violent trail,
collect the stained spent shells
Empty chambers got an earth bed full,
many died in the throes of hate
Envy green hearts using their lead tools,
leaving death marks —
Bullet holes in the picked pocket of fools

It happened again this afternoon
A lady requested my autograph
Mistaking me for Kenny Rogers
Sure gave me a great big laugh
If only I had Kenny's money
I'd be chuckling all the way to the bank
Right now I'm avoiding all my creditors
My bank account's coming up blank
Perhaps I'll become a male prostitute
An easy way to make a few bucks
Still look pretty good for a dude my age
Though I sometimes waddle like a duck
But perhaps that's not for this old guy
My morals are quite high you know
It's extremely rare when I'm at the beach
For any of my white bits to show
Guess I'll continue this sneaky charade
Sign Kenny on my restaurant checks
Why not, I might as well take advantage
Of our amazing similarities, by heck!

Dear Lord,
I thank you this day
for the things that I don’t have
Ain’t got no troubled mind:
Some of those creditors circling,
wanting a pound of debt flesh
for the bills that ain’t yet got paid
Presently,
it’s gonna have to be late fee
sent that way
Long as the heat and lights stay
switched on,
for the children’s sake
Surely, I’m thankful Lord
for this one other thing:
That I don’t have no backsliding desire
for tempted robbery
I’m thankful to be at peace,
content to have the necessary things
that my family need
So thankful that I don't have
no worries
Dear Lord,
I’m truly thankful
that I don’t have the wanton things
which destroy souls
so prosperously
