Premium Member Let's Go Mets

If you think it best, I'll go away
And wait alone until someday
We'll meet that day at Citi Field
Behind home plate in seats that yield
The perfect shot for the kiss cam
I'll kiss you first then take your hand
And with my hand atop your ring
The ring of promise that you'll bring
I'll ask you if you'll marry me
Livestreamed for the world to see
And yes, I'll get down on one knee
Forever then, yours I will be

Premium Member Citi Calls

Concentrate on being good in many ways.
It may take a lot of work but it pays.
To be bad is too easy...
It only takes a moment to ruin yourself
  and live life in misery.
Sit and relax, and take your time to bloom!

Evil Banker

*This is my very first poem*

 The “Evil” Banker

They chose to participate in the game of monopoly…
They now chant “Ohh, poor me, why must this be?”…
The same ones now insist…
“Government…set me free.”

They wished to play with the “evil” bankers…
They now blame their misery on Citi, Chase and other banks…
The same ones now cry…
“Those demons left me eating Ramen and franks.”

They made the very foolish decision…
To purchase Pacific Avenue, Marvin Gardens, or Park Place
When they should have thought practically, realizing
Connecticut or Baltic Avenue would have filled the space

They hurried to cash out their very own fortress …
They now call the banker “punk”
But never thought twice while buying
60” HDTVs, 1000 gig ipods and other useless junk

So, to those who chose to battle with the banker, remember…
No one forced you to sign away your glorified trailer
Take responsibility for yourselves and
Stop crying about it three years later

Premium Member Shea Stadium

It has been home to baseball’s New York Mets.
For a time, it also housed football’s New York Jets.
This is a place practically any New Yorker knows.
It was part of the World’s Fair in Flushing Meadows.
This has been a spawning ground of sports history and more.
It first opened its doors in 1964.

Look out in centerfield, and new construction you will see.
What is there is a rising new sports facility.
Citi Field, soon to be home for the Mets will look fine.
New Yorkers will see games there starting in 2009.

After 2008, Shea Stadium will be history.
However, it will stand in any Mets fan’s memory.

The Champ of Citi Field

Rain shouldn't keep me from feeling fine,
I'd drive to City Field by five...
to watch tall Peter
cheering for Jeter...
a champ nurtured by manly pride.

Your Cyber Friend

i promise to be there until the end
to look for me your email is where you begin
you'll always know what citi i'm in
it's the least i can do for a cyber friend

i'll always check my email
i'll always say good by
i'll never purposly fall asleep
when there's a tear in your eye

i've never had a cyber friend
i think with you i'm finally in
the world of the internet
best friends and we've never met

no time to wonder if i'm in danger yet
but on this one thing you can surely bet
i'll try to be the best darn cyber pet
