As death looms near will we have any regret;
when God judges us, will we stand up erect?
If we could, would it be just aftereffect
of a life lived for self, with pride’s introspect?
What did God ordain with the word, resurrect?
There comes to the soul, a day and the subject -
of guilt as a sinner, immoral, suspect.
We can put the blame on evil’s misdirect
but the fault, we must own in circumspect
bond with the God-head, we no longer reject.
My friend, when that day comes in Christian prospect,
we'll all fall on our faces in awe and respect
for the Savior, Christ our Lord, grand Architect
who can redeem, empower, thereby perfect
stark lives that once faced death's dark disconnect.
What did God ordain with the word - resurrect?
Change, redirection from the dead, in effect.
When Jesus’ forgiveness for sin we accept
we bow the knee in service and genuflect
to glorious grace as God’s chosen elect.

I think that if I could have wearable tech
it might be a vest that inflates in a wreck.
Perhaps a decoder of lyrics by Beck,
or one that converts between gallons and pecks?
Or lets me run wild in the ship’s holodeck.
But I am afraid if I am circumspect,
it is I that this tech likely tries to inspect,
to direct my actions, make me genuflect.
Big brother, who watches, with powers unchecked!
So with due politeness and all due respect,
This wearable tech is a watch I reject.

Forget riffs of regrets
But
To the hilt
We tilt to
Inbuilt lilt
A guilt quilt
Can jilt & wilt
But
No tiffs with what ifs
Won’t let you fret
Circumspect.. I find
Older you get
Bet..more honest…more kind
Care more..know more
Late bloomer rumour
Embraces candour...humour
Respect velvety vagaries
Traces of reflect
Suspect future’s the tutor
Detect serendipity the suitor
Evolution..glints of revolution
Pip that convoluted New Year’s tip
Genuinely don’t genuflect
No sorrow...deflect hints
Of mooted rebooted resolution
Suspect Tomorrow might
Be your best day yet!

it was the autumn of our lives
being no longer the fools of our youth
that naive twinkle in our eyes long gone
erring these days on the side of caution
our guards wired and circumspect
explanations not needing to be formulated
being much too late to play the lovers' serenade
but still ~ it was pure velvet to the core

A Starry Winter's Night
Stars
twinkling
in the skies
above Norway
on a winter’s night
entertain stargazers
(circumspect of the weather)
observing the phenomena,
who embed memories in their minds
for recollection when in pensive moods.

Behind the scars and the bumps and bends
Lies wisdom.
In the lines and the aches and pains
Is etched ‘experience’.
We live in this body for a while.
incarnate, living in physicality, in duality
with the spirit deep within, and while
discernment grows, the chassis rusts
and eventually it turns to dust -
it was only borrowed after all.
Physical being is to finite as
the soul is to infinity.
So in the quest to seek eternal youth,
be circumspect and don’t forget the truth.
Nurture the soul instead, listen to its voice.
Search within and don’t be distracted by the
lure of materialism. Hoard acumen, poise,
prudence, and grow in understanding.
Don’t get choked by the weeds of greed.
We are only a short time here, make it count.

Confined within the steep banks of a narrow mind
is a cryptic river where men stumble in and go blind
They construct reinforced dams that hold them back
from accepting the candid truth, white is not black
Like the slow-moving current of a trickling stream
their thoughts are clogged and clot like curdled cream
What chance do the recalcitrant ones have to accept
reality if they allow no vision of being circumspect
of taking fault and blame for having a closed mind?
These are the ignorant, the foolish ones aptly defined
as those destined to stagnate until they decompose
It's the subsequent end to the stubborn who oppose
a new premise or concept with which they don't agree
They rot inside prisons of conceit, a human tragedy

Recently, the President-elect
showed a noticeable lack of respect
when he opined that "Wouldn't it be great
if Canada became the fifty-first state?"
I have a proposal for the President-elect
and forgive me if I am less than circumspect.
Instead of imposing your country on us,
let America become a Canadian province!
That way, all Americans would get universal health-care,
as opposed to your system which is grossly unfair.
And say what you want about our flaws,
but at least we have strict gun control laws.
(And on that point -
although I know you don't care -
mass shootings in Canada
are extremely rare.)
Also, here in the land of Northern Lights,
we have respect for women's reproductive rights.
Yes, Mr. President-elect,
I know my country is not perfect,
but, unlike you,
we know a thing or two,
about respect.

Thought streams manifested the dream,
Where shadows come alive and voices gleam,
I was both subject and object there,
Meandering through the domain of endless air.
Methinks things are not what they seem,
A ruffle inside a larger stream,
Which specter do we reject,
When does truth itself seem circumspect?
The dreams pile up like veiled morning mist,
Their world vanishes with a gentle morning glow,
A mirrored hall where dancers perform various acts,
The reality intermingled with false escapes.
In dreams within dreams, where does it end?
Does waking mean we comprehend?
Or are we all but fleeting schemes,
Forever lost in nested dreams?

How can a man awaken a women's love
Then walk away leaving her chained to what was?
How does a man make a covenant of love
Then run away and hide?
(Leaving emotional wreckage at the scene of the crime)
Not owning up to the responsibilities
Just wanting the pleasure and no more if you please
Why can't a man be more circumspect of a women's needs?
I am afraid and suspect that he has himself deceived
It's the sociological garbage that he's been fed and believes
(By the way where was Adam as Eve was being deceived?)
A real man must be changed inside
As the Saviour showed mankind how He rears His bride
Keeping a watchful Eye from the sky
To look after her every need
To her heavy sighs give heed
On the cross He did bleed......for her

I'm merely mortal, a speck upon Earth,
circumspect of gazing into distant heavens,
spellbound by stars staring back at me.
They inveigle my silly senses.
I strain to hear their pellucid inscriptions
that shouldn't be clear to humans,
but are transparent to me.
I personify celestial orbs, attempting to break
their astral coded whispers through galactic
places that we thought were empty spaces
between each twinkling of starlight.
They wink through invisible portals,
murmuring secrets about us
or whatever stars are interested in.
Each other? Gossipers!
What secrets do they share, or keep?
Perhaps they're more like us than we suspected.
They have names, grow old, eyes dim
and die a cosmic death. I've been wondering...
where do fallen stars go when they die?

October 18 Praises to God Bible Meditations Based on Mark 10-12
Key Verse – Mark 10:51 And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.
PRAISE BE TO GOD FOR ANSWERING OUR REQUESTS
Praise be to God for answering our requests:
Enabling us in our efficient toiling
Encouraging us toward earnest trust
Exhorting us for energetic thanksgiving
Empowering us along His enlightening truth
Exposing us to exemplify triumphant testimony
Mark 11:22 Praise be to the Lord for
charging us to have faith in Him:
Strongly standing upon His Scriptures
Sturdily serving along His standards
Steadfastly seeking His sufficiency
Sincerely showing His satisfaction
Serenely sharing His salvation
Mark 12:41-44 Praise be to the Saviour for
honouring our giving that is:
Cheerful by His generosity
Confident because of His grace
Compassionate through His greatness
Circumspect along His gearing guidance
Committed upon His gripping governance. Amen!

Lisa had never lived alone, she did not know what to expect.
I am scared, she admitted, alert and self-circumspect.
She left her fiancé’ and his baggage, of which there was a lot.
Moved away to Wisconsin, arrived at two o’clock on the dot.
Had taken a risk and landed in a wonderful place for her.
Now has new friends who are the same age, who know the cure.
They get together for dinners, luncheons, potlucks and other stuff.
She advises single living to everyone, there is no longer anger or huff.

When did being weird
become politically incorrect?
When were old rules disappeared,
and new ones appear unchecked?
I will not be commandeered
into a social engineering project!
I will dance with being weird,
and the devil take your circumspect!
