Cheese Cake and Wine
 We could go out sometime.
 We could drink some red wine.
 Enjoy a pleasant evening in the moonlight.
 You have always been so kind.
 Wine and cheesecake would be great.
 Hope it’s not too late.
 We could go out around eight.
 We could make wonderful memories.
 With flavor and creativity.
 It would be nice to have someone.
 We could pretend that we are still young.
 With many hugs.
 Under the sun.
 Just two people enjoying some wine.
 The night with you is so divine.
 A beautiful person sitting across from me.
 Through red wine by the sea.
 Just wondering out of the blue.
 It could be just me and you.
 Through a man's heart is always food.
 I could share my cheesecake with you.

 Choice of dessert, for sure.
   Children love it as well

Sharing the cheesecake

Dating with my sweetheart frequently
sharing cheesecake while kissing intensely
Committing love and making witness
The madness moments of cheesecake sweetness
Pledging that whenever we grow a hatred
Those intimate moments will be reminisced

The Cheesecake That Almost Was Not Cooked

Every now and then,
When the moon is in the right quarter,
I think of my daughter,
And then, 
I want to bake a cheesecake that is even better,
Than the one I baked to impress her then.

An invitation to tea when the moon was in the right quarter,
So out came my old recipe book then,
A lemon cheese cake, could not be better,
A week to get the ingredients then,
And make a cheesecake that trumps the last one I made my daughter.

And then,
Back to the recipe book before the moon moved to an unfavorable quarter,
Now where in the book was the lemon cheesecake recipe then,
It had to be there, the moon was still in the right quarter,
What other explanation could there be then,
Later after an hour and a quarter,
I found I was not yet going out of my mind then,
And could put off upsetting my daughter.

If it is a lemon cheesecake I told my other daughter,
That is what it should be called then,
Especially when the moon is in the right quarter,
So why call it a superb cheesecake then, 
As I have no wish to upset my daughter,
Before the time comes when?

Curdling Milk Borderline Cheesecake

In the end come to think of it

What's the point of feeling sad

Sad just does what sad does

No point on dwelling on it

It won't go away and will still be
laying in state ready to unwelcome
you when you eventually go to bed

Clinging to your pillow stopping
you from counting sheep

Sad is a sickness fuelled by regret

And when all is said and done
and you break it down 

It's as pointless as crying over
out of date curdling spilt milk 

It's of little use anyway

Cheesecake Nightmare

Love me or hate me
few people can take me
plain, unadulterated, true to myself
their compulsive need to gussy me up
or completely disguise me
gives me nightmares...
Horrible- horrible!

The worst is where
they try to make me
Savory.

Suffocated in sauces, sweet relish
and pickled beets
garnished with green olives
and fussy-cut vienna sausages
all dancing in fancy chorus lines
on top of me
Oh No! I can't take it...
It just can't be!

What are they thinking?!

I awake with a snug sensation
as something warmish
drapes and
drizzles
down my back
AAAAAHHH!
Caramel sauce-
Thank God!

Take this, this poem
with torn, tattered edges
Stuff it in pockets
of jeans faded blue
Tell all the people 
who teeter on ledges 
Nothing is worse
if you have not a clue

Shatter this pen
flowing ink made of fire
Charring the castles
where dragon wings fly
Fanning the flames
that a sad heart has started
When every stanza
now ends in goodbye 

Fracture the vase
that once sat in the window
Emerald green 
with a chardonnay shine
Toss me the shards
till you see I am bleeding
Now have some cheesecake,
a nice glass of wine 

Bury these dreams
so they fade in the morning 
Hidden from sunlight
and coated in dew
Roll out the leaves
in the cover of autumn
Springtime for me
is now long overdue

Pass the Cheesecake - Guilty

I'm descending down a shame spiral
Eating cheesecake for me has gone viral
I'm guilty of no self control
My doc says, "It'll cost me my soul"

I swear on my word of honor
I'm not ready to be a goner
I'll walk past that grocery aisle
At least for a little while.
