Premium Member The Color Of Love

What is the color of love per se
is it heart pumping red
that gets to your head
or crimson velvet like my chalet

How shall I sketch and paint you
should I outline you in opaline
or trace you in soft green
can I easily blend in with you

Do we make a picture perfect painting
for all eyes to see
or is it just you looking at me
don't mind me... if I do a little tinting

What color is love when it sits alone
does it reflect every shade
              of your personal parade
is it hard to hold, or easily atoned

What is the color of love ? Tell me.

Note: Per se is a latin word. It means, "By Itself"

Premium Member Always

A cabin in Tennessee
A chalet on Lake Annecy
Sunsets in colors so bright
A wood stove that's nice and warm
During those big snowstorms
Loving you all through the night

Pink sands and turquoise seas
Baccarat on the breeze
Holding hands, stealing a kiss
Art museums, living dreams
Behind you inside moonbeams
Klimt made a painting like this

Always your troubadour
Always, forevermore
Always I've had you in view
All of the words and odes
All of the songs composed
Always were always for you

One guitar with four hands
Reading off the same stand
I doubt that we'll play very long
There's much more we have to say
Let's put that guitar away
And make our own sweet new love song

Always your troubadour
Always, forevermore
Always I've had you in view
All of the words and odes
All of the songs composed
Always were always for you

Premium Member There's a

House that sits somewhere in France
A chalet on a lake
It only has one occupant
He waits there for her sake
He knows he may not ever see
A day when she'll be there
But still he picks her fresh bouquets,
There's lilacs everywhere!
He decorated boho style
Or tried to anyway
His efforts were 'endearing'
I'm sure that's what she'd say
And from the morning sunrise
Straight through until sunset
He looks across the ocean
To see if she's come yet
The moment of a lifetime
The day his dream comes true
Will be the day his Bluebird lands
Her flight's long overdue

Premium Member French Cottage

I'll always hold this dream with you
A chalet by a lake, us two
A long time spent exploring France
From minute one it's all romance
Will it happen? I don't know
But if it does then off we'll go
I'm saving up to pay the way
So I'll be ready for that day

Premium Member My own Gasconade of the Swiss Alphs

Marly’s gasconade about her chalet in Switzerland was not braggadocio
I sat for two hours keen to see it all, stunned by the dazzling clear water
Captivated by the lace topped Alps, the air was crisp and clean.
Her description of a delightful dazzling scene was not an embellishment.

Ravishing flowers beside the cool bench where I sat were vibrant
within the Alps I heard the crisp tweet of a songbird.
This was an innocent place, I was keen to see more.
This gasconade does not do this alluring scenery justice.

A ravishing, captivating, enchanting, marvelous wonderland

Premium Member Parlez-vous Francais

I love you little Bluebird
Incredible you are
I hope someday to marry you
I'll wish upon that star
Down on one knee I'll ask you
If you would take my hand
And turn that ring of promise
Into a wedding band

We'll walk the aisle, no drama
Cowboy boots you'll wear
And I will be in denim jeans
And I'll still have long hair
And then it's off to Paris!
A chalet at Lake Annecy
To live the dream that I first had
Of France with you and me

Premium Member All For A Smile

I'll take you on a journey
There's places we can see
I picked a few I think you'll like
I hope that you'll agree

Let's watch a blazing sunset
From somewhere on a shore
Just you and I together
I couldn't ask for more

Let's eat Godiva chocolate
From a Belgian chocolatier
I mean flying there to Brussels
Not going somewhere here

Let's sip some French press coffee
At a Paris street café
Where afternoons just mosey on
And an hour lasts a day

Let's swim on the Amalfi coast
That part of Italy
Supposedly is beautiful
Take it in with me

Let's spend some time in Switzerland
I'll rent a small chalet
With a picture window looking out
On Alps not far away

Let's tour United Kingdom
Welsh castles everywhere
We'll walk the English countryside
And breathe the Scottish air

We'll get our steps in easily
Walking hand in hand
I'll get to be alone with you
Wouldn't that be grand?

Pack a bag, we'll be away
It might be for awhile
I'll take care of everything
Just let me see your smile

Premium Member Pumpkin Beer

Sweet thoughts, rainfall
It's just that kind of day
Sitting in my favorite chair
Words here on display

Before too long a finished post
A new morning bouquet
That's meant to say ILU
And get you on your way

For you to know that I'm right here
And that I'm always TAY
Just message me and you'll receive
Response without delay

And even intermittent
I'm still not far away
Anything concerning you
Is never done halfway

My dreams of us together
Span quite the vast array
But there's one recurring dream I have
Its substance I'll convey

It's...

A first class French excursion,
A personal chalet,
Long and lazy afternoons
At quaint outdoor cafés

Romantic Paris evenings
A Moulin Rouge soiree
Moonlight strolls along The Seine,
Then up Champs Elysees

Sup late European-style
That's how they do it anyway
Why not? Just like the old adage,
 "When in France," they say

And when the final curtains close
On our self-directed play
'Tis the season to head back home
And prepare to hit the hay

Then just before you fall asleep
A few things if I may:
One, I love you very much
Two, with me forever stay

Premium Member Come Fly With Me

Let's fly somewhere, just us
Let's go without ado or fuss
Where music's in the street
Where I can love you long and sweet

Where we can sing the song
Of romance while the days are long
Where the sun stays up 'til nine
Then afterwards we'll wine and dine

To have you to myself
Exclusively, there's no one else
To stop the things I want to say
To tell you how I love the way

You sing, you dress, you so impress
You're smart, you're just a work of art
You're beautifully stunning too
The way you look, the things you do

I'd swim the ocean, drink a stream
If only I could live my dream
Of always being by your side
From here to there, from far and wide

And maybe you could me as well
Be in love with, I can't tell
But if you did I'd do a dance
And buy that quaint chalet in France

To one day live in, me and you
After we both said, "I do"
A yellow quilted jamboree
Of morning love and fresh coffee

Premium Member You and I

You're the purple, I'm the white
You're the color, I'm just bright

My world is better because you're here
You bring me joy when you appear

I look for you, I always did
You didn't know, in me it hid

I couldn't tell you that I longed
But whenever you would sing a song

I'd melt inside, I Ioved the sound
The sweetest voice, I knew I'd found

My true companion, what to do?
I had no way of telling you

And then one night I had a dream
And when I woke with eyes agleam

I fell in love right then and there
And hoped one day we'd be a pair

The moment was when then you knew
You told me that you'd had a clue

And from then on a friendship came
My life has never been the same

I dream about a real romance
Our special place, somewhere in France

To celebrate our new found bliss
A sunset walk, a little kiss

An old chalet above a lake
Bears witness to the plans we'd make

In my heart that dream's alive
And in that dream we both do thrive

I now know love exists, it's true
It's real, I have it, all for you

Premium Member Explore

You’ve never been on a subway,
I’ve never made homemade ice cream;
Maybe we’ll explore together someday;

High rise suite or an opulent chalet,
come with me hang out in my dream;
You’ve never been on a subway;

Walk the city get lost along the way
still all those lights will simply gleam;
Maybe we’ll explore together someday;

My ‘Train Approach’ sign stuck on delay
above urban art on an elevated beam;
You’ve never been on a subway;

The first bite of a brand new entree
me with a garden would be a scream;
Maybe we’ll explore together someday;

With me around there’s never a replay,
I promise to take it to the extreme;
You’ve never been on a subway,
maybe we’ll explore together someday.

Premium Member Being Frank

Can I be frank with you my love?
There's no one else who I think of
Can I be frank with you my dear?
I always want you to be near
Can I be frank with you my sweet?
Compared with you none can compete
Can I be frank with you bluebird?
You're my choice, the one preferred

I want to walk my life with you
Through meadows, glades and pastures new
Filled with scents of coming spring
Flowers, grasses, everything
That symbolizes love newborn
A sunrise on a brand new morn
The promise of another day
To start again a different way

It's happened, what am I to do?
I've fallen deep in love with you
No one knows, no one can
Secure with me yet I still plan
For someday in a French chalet
With orchids watching, on display
I'd take your hand and on one knee
Ask if you would be with me

Premium Member Ski Chalet

Slippery hills in this snowy week

Knees bent; more speed needs a tweak.

I’ll snowplow, turn skis stop in stance

In and out like an ice-ballet dance,

No turning back on a bunny slope!

Gripping tightly up-hill to the tow rope.

Premium Member Two Hearts One Dream

Sing for me bluebird
I love your voice
I love you too
And I so rejoice
In thinking one day
You will take me away
On your wings I will ride
To our Annecy chalet

Play for me troubador
Skillfully on the strings
New melodies each morning
Never knowing what love brings
Dreaming of the one day
When we can fly away
Together hand in hand
To our Annecy chalet

Premium Member Running From the Chocolates

Who knows she is staying in this Swiss chalet?
She is consternated these chocolates came today.
Why would they be addressed to her real name?
She is registered under the moniker of a pretend dame.

The woman is freaked out; this is not her scene.
She begins to pack for she is not naïve or green.
Who knows she is here? And how would they know?
She stares at these chocolates knowing she has to go.

She packs quickly and runs from the place.
Hurry! An internal voice screams. Pick up your pace!
As she is checking out her husband yells her name.
I knew it was you! He says. You are one slick little dame!

Still angry with him, she avoids his eyes, and turns her head.
Wishing she had not left those chocolates lying on the bed.
She had thought they might be poisonous or even worse.
Where are the candies? He asks. “Inside your purse?”
