A Season of Smiles - Updated x2

In January, the kaboom of fireworks
Redefining glitter above us: What if
The sky was pink, should purple rain besmirch us
Yet, don a cheer for New Year.

In February, the appearance of bouquets, cordate chocolates
Many secret loves trespassing sticky notes
Lovely nothings hang mid-air. 

In March, the hope of summer
springing like anxious fledglings pushed off their perch
Rain becomes wet

What Makes me Smile

What makes me smile?—For one: the grin of life;
but, too, its touch of giggle grazing on 
my ticklish skin,—Though soon again withdrawn,
yet long lingers in memory, full, rife. 

This makes me smile—(the laughter of a leaf
fluttering through the airs of yawning dawn.
I think it now, though next I’ll find it gone,
but note the chimes of

"Grandma ain't getting young
But we thank God for the year's He's given her
But when I look into her eyes
I see how she keeps praying for her grandchildren
To each be settled in good families so that she lives on"

I was named after my grandpa, and he left me my grandma
And we've shared a special bond right

I believe we were in grade 3?
In our brown and beige uniforms
At Lower Coverdale Christian Academy 

At first, I hung out with your sister 
But little did I ever know 
That we would become much closer 
And our friendship would surely grow

I love all the love you give to me
Speaking truth and gratitude so easily 
Digging deep to plant a seed
Of respect you fill each need
And I'm mystified at your loving heart of purest gold

As each day comes to show
