Stars of Clarity 11-22-23
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Stars of Clarity
Lost in ebony
Void of bursting astral intuitions,
Alabaster amber stolen,
Abandoned in delirium’s decay
Of dying brown dwarfs
Hoarding lavender purple leftovers,
Hidden remnants of disguised advent,
Ashen sojourner wades through impotent stardust
Numb in faded platinum insight.
Out of grey vertigo
Carmine dwarfs arise to overshadow ebony
In a giddy sense of spangled glitter
When enigmas and puzzles
Step out of nebulas into mystic purity.
Pilgrim, found in neon,
Incandescent cavalcades of exploding chartreuse
Guide ephemeral crystalline visions,
Burnished auroras splash across epiphanies,
Rounded shards divulge silver nativity,
When salient flashes nurture constellations of certainty,
Astral sparks of cosmic scarlet explosions,
And shrouded a-ha’s emerge like incandescent sextons
Leading to stellar sequins - champagne diamonds of clarity.
A quiet spot in the house,
not frequented by visitors,
set aside, distant, aloof
solitary refuge, retreat,
escape, safe haven, sanctuary
from life trials and tribulations;
points of memory, subtle laughter,
remembered heartache and tears,
in picture frames, photographs, and reading books,
old school technology with paper, ink, and pen
scratchings of time and place,
etchings recovered and erased;
windows clean and wide,
open view portrait, vignette, a snapshot
to the world outside
visionary images of changes of the seasons
spring buds, blossoms and blooms
summer gardens exuberant with living visions
autumn color cavalcades
glistening thru the shade
warm sun lilting in reflective passage,
aging armchair warrior greeting time as it passes
clinging to the memories revived
within my sitting room.
The cries,
nurture,
innocence,
restricted by affection,
instructors,
finding paths in obscurity,
trapped in bonds,
used or misused,
made or damaged.
ambition,
among friends and foes,
the pitfalls,
cavalcades,
torrents mars the visage,
on the hill,
and too soon in the valley,
the body aches,
worn and diseased,
reflections,
regrets,
or remorse,
so soon,
as vapor,
we pass.
At the end of the day
Cavalcades of color play
a majestic organ in the sky
~ Earthly audiences sigh
Fire-orange blazes on top
of the chord-cloud's deep gray
As the Heavens' Grand Finale
drum-rolls your way
Time
Thou mighty monarch of “eartherial” scope,
the vicegerent and the viceroy of all fickle frame.
from thy womb lonesome vial sprung,
and the cavalcades of torrents bearing branches
Time
ere that chaotic cosmos regaled in darkness found a cloth of light,
Thou deccreest the bands and bounds by thine unvoiced speeches.
and when creation found a space in thy vast gale.
thy space was not submerged or muted in all affairs.
Time
As a conqueror, we see thy doings over man.
thy power over kings.
and thy victory over thrones
we stand aghast when arrogance is over.
speechless at the remains of monarchs.
Time,
where is Rome, where is Assyria?
Where is Babylon, where is Britain ?
Like carcasses in the wind
they crumbled regaled in dusty past of forgone memories
their days of Power are over
Time
Even now, thy watchers are in all cities upon all arms
when in rage the sword is drawn from the scabbard
some you kill.
other you honour.
and others you mocked.
May we in Time, find our paths ere we bid this earth farewell
Once I tried
To fathom the ocean,
And the deep rumbling
Orchestrated symphony
Of the endless cavalcades
Of those reconvening,
Ebb and flow of
Aquamarine waves
Wrapped in lyrical brevity,
Kept implying deathlessness.
While the spumes
Like rhapsodists in a choir
Made me hear their passacaglia
Of epigrams, missals
And pericopes of life,
Sweeping over my feet
Kissing and trying
To take me back
To the immortality and eternity
Of wisdom and insights.
I found peace.
That is when I found peace.
COSMIC HEART
There once were places in this world where you could escape
but now the whole globe is wrapped with investigation tape.
So when I want to get away and leave this mess behind
I find myself diving out the back door of my mind.
I’ve jumped onto Orion’s belt, and did some giant swings
and slid down the back of Scorpio without a single sting.
I’ve learned to shuffle galaxies like they are decks of cards
and play roulette with asteroids with total disregard.
I’ve ridden comets like they’re skateboards and bowled with satellites
wearing suits of stardust and ties of ultra violet light.
I once jumped into a wormhole, wound up behind my mind
reading all the thoughts I’d think in some future time.
I’ve joined cavalcades of stars in the universe of laughs
and swirled in seas of jokes till eternities had passed
One day I’ll set an orbit around the cosmic heart
bound there by the force of love, never to depart.
Puppeteers
In cavalcades of bulletproof cocoons
all aspects of our lives they can control
they own all that you have except your soul
the sharply suited pipers call the tunes.
Exchanging every privilege and boon,
in freedom's name to dominate, their goal,
unleash fierce ordinance to take it's toll
fruits of their machinations now lie strewn.
Far off, survivors of their bombs and guns
crouch , huddled in a maze of shattered walls,
tarpaulin shades family from the sun,
parents can't quiet hungry baby's call.
A world away, when all is said and done
the price of one gold watch could feed them all.
The new king is like a beautiful damsel on her wedding day
Whereby her uttermost joy came from the ring: a seal of authority
With a bright “Akoko” and the crown that makes him loyal to the royal
On the day of coronation, townspeople trodden in twos and threes
With continuous crossing cavalcades at the down town
Whereas the sounding “samba”tripani and percussion tom-tom are all talking alongside the talking drum
Giving the dancer troupe at the dance floor a direction of dance
No one can question His authority
The god of our father in proxy
And at the mention of his name, all heads bow, men and women lies prostrate – kabiyesi oooooooooooooooooo
Long may you reign
With the royal crown on your head
And the royal shoe on your feet
In your reign: birds will sing and not crow
Cock will crow and not sing
