Cavalcades of Colors

At the end of the day
  Cavalcades of color play
a majestic organ in the sky
  ~ Earthly audiences sigh

Fire-orange blazes on top
  of the chord-cloud's deep gray
As the Heavens' Grand Finale
  drum-rolls your way

A truly magnificent poem, with exotic imagery of gorgeous colors in the sky! It's a FAVE for me, Gershon. Best wishes. :)

This poem appeals to me in many ways and I do not even know what "cavalcades of color" is but I am looking it up now.

OK. Now I know that it's supposed to be a formal procession, like a parade -- of people... So, I've s t r e t c h e d the meaning out to include people of all c o l o r s, you see. Poetic license and I are good buddies...

Maybe you can let me know what you find under 'cavalcades.' I actually have no idea what it means, but have used it cavalierly here and there anyway. ~ Cavalry Calvin

The drums do warn us and the bright striking light in the sky are sometimes foreboding but, I love watching a heavy storm(not dangerous like the hurricane in Florida) what a tragedy, on top of all their other worries and the pandemic. You describe this storm as if I'm expecting it here and now, on this side of the pond. Great imagery Gershon. Blessings and hugs, Jennifer.

So, did you get your storm?! I'm on pins and needles waiting to hear, Jennifer! You'll let me know, eh?! Smiles, Gershon
