Capricorn

They’re calm, they’re cool
They never play the fool
Their confidence unshaken
Gotta keep their reputation

These goats of the mountain
Drink from the youth fountain
‘Cause they never seem to age
Their eternal beauty takes the stage

They have so much resilience
With money they’re just so brilliant
Their jobs are quite cathartic
‘Cause these folks are workaholics

Professionally they’re royalty
They look down on disloyalty
They’re CEOs, there’s quite a few
When they’re dressed up, it’s quite the view

Full of worldly ambition
They’re always on a mission
Disciplined and poised
They got boom in their voice

The children of Saturn
You’ll see a certain pattern
They take awhile to open their hearts
They’re slow to open up from the start

Although they might be stoic
They’re actually quite heroic
Capricorns will leave their mark
So don’t ever kill their spark

Premium Member Capricorn Rain

Across the great plain with sun-sprinkled path,
They frolicked with the golden buffalo clan.
Dodging black powder chaps along the way.
They moved about strong, wise, and steady.
Like a necklace of runaway slaves.

They were cornered at a trickster's cliff.
Guardian angels were on permanent hiatus.
I guess it just wasn't a prosperous gig.
Many leapt to their misty valley fate.
A few dug in deeper into a sacred place.
Black powder veiling proud- painted faces.
Within the last drumbeat of a Capricorn rain.

Capricorn Moon

Feelings, they come and go.
When one occurence hits the core;
Memories of the past begins to play.
I sometimes had to decide how to begin my day before I foreplay;
As it turns out, the outcomes will be a probability of 50-50 .

People, they always evolve.
Sometimes, I wonder whether they're playing their part well;
In the end, it all comes to how the environment shapes them.
I couldn't blame them for the choices they choose to act on;
For I know how different hardships hits people differently.

I remind you again;
Feelings, they come and go.
This time it's the void;
I call upon it whenever I feel overwhelmed with my feelings.
Sometimes, but most of the time, it's on autopilot;
Like a robot who's programmed to feel and not to feel for certain things.

At first, I thought it was a hassle;
But as I grew older, I begin to appreciate how I came to be.
I love my moon in capricorn;
I've yet to learn more and love every part about myself.
I thought I was hard to love;
Later, I found out I was restricting myself all along.
I've regretted how my actions hurted every loved ones;
And forever grateful for the ones who still remains to be by my side.

CAPRICORN

Checked up on my star sign.
Cardinal sign, it says.
Can’t wait to get things done;
Cautious financially;
Could be considered mean.
Cancer was my partner.
Could not last the distance.

Capricious laughter’s an aphrodisiac,
always carried on the wind euphoria;
Prepare to fumble free fall and level up,
really what is it you want to master?
I will show you Capricorn confetti,
colors that paint a disciplined maniac;
Ordinary isn’t enough I want El Dorado,
riches and brand name rags go together;
No ceiling exists on this type of ambition;

Easy for them to talk but I get it done,
now ask me again if I live to have fun;
Every day is a reason for an adventure,
ready set let’s ride a little bit faster;
Go hard on everything or keep it moving,
you can ride with me if you dig debauchery.

I am looking for a new place to begin again

I am looking for a new place to begin again, to start fresh.
It seems I am always looking for such a place,
even when I am okay with where I'm at now.

Others tell me ‘what you seek is within’ and ‘no place will make you happy unless you are content with yourself’.
However, I feel it’s within my nature to want to begin again, and begin again once more.

Like a writer turning over a page, writing a new chapter,
I am looking for a new place to begin, a new story awaits and an exciting next adventure will be written.
I am forever the mountain goat climbing, like my star sign, the Capricorn,
I am stubborn, determined and desperate to succeed.

If not in this place, I will keep climbing until I am there,
wherever there is.
You see, I am looking for a new place to begin.

Completely at eases when in charge
although sometimes she may need a break;
Passionate with an unquenchable wild side:
Reach the top of the list then start a new one
instead of pausing to enjoy the view;
Carrying the cosmic power of Saturn's rings,
ordinary is never for the extraordinary;
Rage on herself harder than anyone else,
nothing compares she is a Capricorn woman.

C-olours on my canvas through and through
A-ppearing, a bridge to reach the other side
P-romises of a vibrant pathway curved so wide
R-ainbows in my sky never hide
I-n magic tones my most loved shade
C-olours that will never fade
O-ur lives a canvas a vivid hue
R-ising once more to love and guide
N-ow my heart absorbs seven colours
with love and pride

Capricorn: a Letter To Myself

Capricious little devil, aren't you?
A regular pistol star, burning in and burning out.

Please don't take it to heart dear, but you'll never find a love like this.
Really who could take your flighty heart?

Ironic.

Come now, don't take offense. You're a regular flare in the sky, beautiful but soon gone.
Open your eyes little one, you need an anchor to hold you down.

Raise yourself by your own two fists and hold someone steadfast,
Never let them let you go.

The Gravity of an Eternal Obit
David J Walker

Scarlet, Red, Rust
The colors of the Scorpio
Whose path crossed the
Capricorn both black and brown

Woke to the uncharted space
Between us
The dance of ages
The embrace of creation
the planet of transformation

Yours was the flower
waiting to bloom
I was the gardener of patience
You were the physician in the
Waiting room
I was the emergency patient

And now I am the moon
Caught in the gravity of
An eternal obit

Counting the Rings of Saturn
By David J Walker

What do I know
Of Saturn

That claims sovereign reign
Over my last name and night sky
Of my Mother

Do you know my Father’s number
What do you have to do with
The new moon that brought them
Together

That I should be born in the
Purvey of Capricorn

My head is turned to the past
Practical
      responsible
cold and distant
      Unforgiving
prone to feelings of guilt

I’ll give you that, Saturn

I wonder if I can
Count your rings
And learn anything

Tropic of Capricorn

as if the great expanse collapsed
eclipsing hearthstones
amid the cordillera
where sun begins to beg
her true name

life stops alongside the eucalyptus
and the words warm
dripping honey to the south

shadows dance
and straight below we stand
just letting go
past particles
in the winds of time
in the tropic of us

we thrust our faith, our knowledge
our fortune and fortitudes
character, a dying breed
in need

moments held close
mouthed in mystery

we lick the solemm soul of the earth
before we soar
to destiny and destinations set free
