She wiggled and jiggled and giggled in bed
It fiddled and faddled and rattled her head
But she wiggled so much that she fell to the floor
And wiggled and jiggled and giggled some more
He muddled befuddled and scuttled around
Till he bumbled and stumbled and fell to the ground
Still he muddled befuddled just like before
And scuttled befuddled through his front door

It's been a long time since the cicadas rumbled.
History books say 'twas eighteen hundred and three
When war struck the trees where bees sometimes bumbled.
The seventeen and thirteen boys couldn't agree.
The horror of those days can't be told in rhyme,
But that war to end wars, we may again see.
I tell you children that it's once again time.
It's history that tells us and also some math -
It's because thirteen and seventeen are prime.
For the first time since, they're headed down that path
With products and least common multiples the same,
Their hatch cycles will line up in nature's cruel wrath.
In twenty twenty-four bugs will kill and they'll maim.
Do they just need more food to all eat hearty
For them to be happy and peace to proclaim?

The first time you kissed me it was a surprise, I wasn’t ready.
It was a sneak attack, funny ‘cause they say the girl ‘always knows.’
I think we’re lucky we didn’t chip a tooth.
The unexpected slowed me - ‘ok, that happened,’ I thought.
Because I’d wondered, before - ‘does he like me like THAT?’
and suddenly you came into sharp focus, your lips, your eyes,
your goofy smile. It changed things, for us - like Jesus’s birth
changed time - there was before kiss (bk) and after kiss (ak).
We somehow kludged our way into love - the old fashioned way
without navigation software, dating sites, hookup apps or breadcrumbs.
Like our foremothers and fathers or Columbus - we bumbled into a new world.

Expectations, Desires, and Hopes
By: Miracle Man
7/3/2023
Life has been one of expectations, desires and hopes,
I’ve bumbled through it always learning the ropes.
But my plans weren’t always aligned with God’s,
and I knew not true peace while we were at odds.
But then one day I was troubled for an answer,
for the doctor had just told me that I had cancer.
I sought forgiveness for life lived in the mire,
Cancer was the match that set my fields on fire.

Bumbled bumble bumble bee
flew from bloom to bloom,
busy-busy-a-buzzing-buzzy-busy
Heard by flowers
from here to there, a-mumbling to himself...
saying… no-not-right, no-not-this-one, no-no-not-good.
Until finally touching down
on daisy's yellow landing pad
for the gathering
of his day harvest.
As so be for me busy
all a-buzzing all the day,
programmed for mindless tasks
of mute survival
of all that
‘must-do doing’
‘I just-have-to…’
all that buzzing work
for to gather
all the must-haves
for my day harvest.

A signal I have crossed the line
Driven in the wedge
Bumbled to the precipice
I'm teetering on the edge
I wish my thoughts were crafted
Or vetted in some way
Close the gap between intention
And the words I choose to say
I want to be articulate
Remove the crimson doubt
A whisper of 'I like you'
But instead I choose to shout
Hey ho, it's not the first time
Relationships have crashed
An innocent affection
Distorted, crushed or mashed
Can I just hold my hands up?
I know this is a drag
But I'd like to stall perception
And wave this small white flag
I sometimes know it's foolish
This thing my fingers start
As words just don't come easy
When connected to my heart

I longed to speak of love to a woman so fair,
but I bumbled and mumbled because I stuttered,
so my tongue remained silent. My heart didn't dare
whisper, "I love you." Three words never uttered.
I tried to be brave but was too timid and shy
to gather enough courage to bend on one knee,
so I wrote her a poem; hard task for a guy.
Reading helps the speech of a stutterer like me.
Slowly, I read; each romantic line was uttered.
Without a single flaw, I pledged to her my love.
Her eyes filled with tears; eyelashes swiftly fluttered.
Her arms were the wings of an innocent white dove.
"I love you, too," she softly whispered in my ear.
Now free of stuttering, I have nothing to fear.

Brassy Barry’s boastful bumbling Brana Bull
Badgered Billy’s bashful buffoonish Baboon
Into baking a boisterous Blackberry Bisque
Beyond bunking, Barry’s brave babysitter
boldly bellowed brashly.
Bonafide bamboozlement boasted Brana Bull’s bed buddies.
Beyond bothersome boneheads, Billy Baboon’s buzzards bawled
Baboon’s beautiful baked bonne bouch betwixed buddies and beasts
beautifully, bumping boastful Brassy Barry’s beliefs, which bumbled
on beyond the brink of believability boulder.

Through a limerick a poet once bumbled.
With the meter he fumbled and stumbled.
So he thought: “How pathetic
to be waxing poetic!"
And he hung his head thoroughly humbled.

In confidence, at three-card Monte when I'd choose,
A complete mark, I found myself destined to lose.
Pulling rabbits out of hats I was just a twit;
As a rank amateur whose hand always got bit.
Many times, I stacked poker decks to force an Ace
But wound up, predictably, with red on my face.
Underneath shiny tin cups, I shuffled dry peas
But bumbled badly with high regularity.
"Predictable" my friends told me since I was ten
Because I lost so oft, even I said “Amen.”
Asked one time to saw a woman in half and then
To quickly put back her beauteous halves again.
Instead, I swept her up my arms, asking to wed;
Unpredictably, to me it was “yes,” she said.

Pin The Tail On The Donkey
Eyes exquisitely piercing
Cut me deep with lure,
Seeing all that's fearsome
Yet so innocent and so pure.
Fluttering like a butterfly,
Squinting like a whore,
To be no more than stupified
Was to be a man, no more.
Beckoned me as I crumbled,
Took me, a quivering fool
And as I fumbled and bumbled
Loved me as a mule,
Bucking like a prancing pony
I kicked like a jockey's heel,
To reach the finish, if only,
I could have told you how I feel.
Eyes exquisitely hostile
Trampled me with scorn,
Bleeding boots and hobnail
Were used yet never worn.
Discarded like a party game,
Broken, twisted and wonky,
So-called friends and lovers came
To pin the tail on the donkey.

Active macho sperm told the passive egg
I am turned on darling eggie are you on the rag?
Eggie smiled and tumbled
Sperm's bollocks are bumbled
Eve pinched Adam's bum, " your dizzy balls sag".

INSTRUMENTAL INFATURATION
The piano man stopped playing when you walked in
And that’s when I heard the brass begin
The flautist was taken aback by your grin
And then I heard the voice of a violin
The drummer stumbled over his beat
As I bumbled over my feet
Then a sax and the trumpet came to meet
And suddenly the syncopation was complete
I heard the shrill of a single piccolo
Played sweetly and haltingly low
The mellowness of a melody began to flow
As the band put on a thrilling show
You were a bigger star than the guitar
As the bass and bassoon began to spar
The rhythm was hotter than steaming tar
As you and I made our way to the bar
Your sashay got an okay from the crowd
And the singer’s song was not too loud
Dancing with you made me so damned proud
Pride born of the beauty with which you are endowed
Suddenly the song was over and done
As you smiled brighter than the summer’s sun
The story of a song had, at once, been spun
And even the band knew I love you more than anyone

Your love scrambled my heart as if it were a three egg omelet
Breaking the shell of my soul till it crumbled
I am trying so hard just to forget
My inner self tumbled, bumbled
I felt shuffled, feeling muffled
I feel ruffled, our times stumbled
I would rather baste than forget
Or fry if our times you regret
My loves been shuttled
My emotions coupled
Left with no appeal
Spending time, letting my soul heal
Remembering, wanting to be with you.
