                            Sun

Shining brightly in the simmering sky,
Upon the world, its gleaming light does lie,
Nourishing all, as day goes by and by.

Premium Member Venus Rages Brightly Tonight

Venus rages brightly tonight
But the night is thick with shame.
It doesn't cool my round thoughts
Nor hold my soul to the flame.

Some things just can't be said;
   Neither can they be helped.
These things should be weathered -
And through it all - be felt.

Pieces of me - I try to collect
   Before they can fall away
And I guard them - resolute
   That something of those remain.

Premium Member May Love Forever Burn Brightly

Friendships are made, friendships are broken
But the friendships here on the site
Are as strong as any that have ever existed
Unencumbered by outside influences
They thrive in an atmosphere of a common language
That of love, compassion, and joy
In the knowledge there are still loving souls out there
Amid the turmoil that exists in the world
Wars have been fought since the beginning of time
They have always been part of the human condition
This desire to be king of the hill
Starts early on with childhood interaction
Bullies trying to prove their superiority by strength
But their strength is usually only physical
There is also a strength of character
Which the so called meek of the earth can possess
That is stronger than physical strength
Strength of character is the strength I describe
Those that possess it often go on to great success
If their fire within is allowed to burn brightly
So let the friendships here on this site
Burn brightly with the love of the written word
The words in rhyme that communicate
A love of our fellow inhabitants
Of this wonderful site and this wonderful world
We call Earth!

The brightly-coloured birds

Hurriedly they flew into the bright sky
Their feathers glowing underneath the sun
And with their sweet songs
The animals all lay awoken by their voices.
As the day draws to an end
They pick up their harvest
And store them in their nests.
They cuddle their little ones
With feathers that can brighten up the night.
They sleep peacefully and soundly
In the memories of their morning tunes
Oh what a lovely sight to see
These brightly-coloured birds
In their coat of many colours.

Daring Spirits Blaze Brightly

Do not go gentle into the good night,
Where shadows dance, and darkness takes its flight.
Embrace the fire that burns within your soul,
Let passion guide you as you reach your goal.

Though time may pass and wear upon your frame,
Let not your spirit yield to sorrow's claim.
In every moment, let your spirit soar,
With every step, create a life worth more.

Resist the urge to dwell on days long past,
Instead, embrace the future and hold it fast.
The stars still shine, though they may seem concealed,
Their light remains, waiting to be revealed.

Rage against the dying of the light,
Ignite your dreams, let them take flight.
For life's too short to fade away unseen,
So seize the day and make your spirit keen.

Embrace the challenges that lie ahead,
With every breath, let your true self be shed.
Do not go gentle into the good night,
But blaze a path with all your strength and might.

Premium Member The Moon Shone Brightly - Potd

Lilac lavender leaves fluttered ethereally
over the smooth sea of the placid lake.
A shimmer of light shone over the calm waves,
as they rolled silently and collectively
towards the sandy shore now lit
by the rising of the amber full moon.

Wave after wave composed
a lyrical enchanting melody
played by the rising orb.

The leaves formed fragrant shapes
emulating the grandness of the scene.
In the gathering darkness two lovers
heard the alluring symphony
and felt each other entwined
in a dance of love as the moon
in a dreamy crescendo shone
brightly evermore.
Until the eclipse took place.
Then it hummed no more that night.

Premium Member Funeral Poem: Brightly From the Night Sky

Another star is twinkling now,
From the sky at night,
For your soul has flown to Heaven
And there it shines so bright.

You could not have been more loved
During your time on Earth,
For you caused so much happiness,
With your brand of love and mirth.

It is comforting to know that
Your love’s still shining down,
So when we often think of you
It’s with a smile and not a frown.

For life doesn’t end; it’s a circle,
Of that, I feel quite sure,
And one day we will join you and enter
That same revolving door.

Premium Member She Burns Brightly

 Conflagration
in the void,
churning,
turning,
an ebullient life.

Gaia boils
with frustration,
self-actualization
on a flaming scale;
a Deva enflamed,
still destruction’s
curtailed.

Name nailed
in the cosmos,
she prevails;
light years
dare not erase
her sacred face.

God’s other child,
spinning wild,
dervish pyre;
sits in splendor.
this enlightened
wily cosmological
lantern.

Her passion burns
amid the churns;
some day
she will burn out;
white dwarf
afloat
in a metaphysical
sea.

Premium Member Midnight Silent Brightly-

 Midnight silent

And as the sun burning
My flesh is redden and blacken
Pangs and pains
Bruise skin

Like a kingdom full of sunlamps
Brightly
Eyes blinded by the lights
Skin torrid pains
When I thought of the sunlight

Deep into that darkness waiting
Blinded by mid days sun a brazen
Brightly
I crave the darkness, lonely luminescence
When I thought of the sunlight

That lights, light basking
and the photosphere never congratulating
eagerly I looked for the andromeda galaxy
eagerly I looked for the ionosphere
Brightly

I threw my heat upon the cool breeze
in there stepped an agog 'zodiacal light'
only this and a golden glow brightly
Suddenly, I heard the sunshine some glowing
Brightly
the dayside brought such sorrow
somewhat louder than the Ferrero
My mind always strays to quasars
Rev up motors lights
as It threw its ghost against the atoms
Deep into that darkness shining
Shining ever so, so
Brightly

Premium Member Please, Keep Your Candlesticks Burning Brightly Collection

"Oh! Please do this in remembrance of me,"
My precious Lord and Savior said unto me.
"Oh! Please keep your Candlesticks burning
Brightly in your heart until the hour I shall
Surely return again. I am coming very quickly
For all of my special children." And I replied
Unto Him, "Even so come quickly Lord Jesus!"
Earnestly, and tenderly we willingly wait for Thee!***

Oh! Jesus Christ our beloved Redeemer and Lord,
Is our bright and shining candlestick illuminating
The darkness of a sin stained world. Jesus Christ,
Is the Son of Life giving unto us his free gift of
His everlasting life. "Eternal Joy! Eternal Life Joy!
He's (our) friend!" What a wonderful time we will
All enjoy when we see Him in all of his glory!***

Oh! I beheld our precious Lord Jesus Christ clothed
In a white robe shining brightly, and walking in the
Midst of seven brightly burning candlesticks. Jeweled
Golden crowns of endless glory did adorn his hair.
His very eyes burned with righteous fire! Guaranteed
to pierce the sin blackened hearts of all of humanity! ***

Love in Christ Jesus!
