Premium Member Break of Day

Sun rises in all its glory
breaking through my window
announcing with great fanfare
the start of a new day

A fresh new start
full of potential
choices to make
and paths to take

A day unlike all others
we mustn't take for granted
for days are numbered days are finite
~ let's make this one unforgettable

Premium Member God Arrives At Break of Day

God arrives at break of day in form of a heavenly spaceship
His light rays splaying across the horizon in a gentle way
I watch from my jungle tree house, marveling at His reach
knowing He is simultaneously on the other side of the world

my children are going to sleep in the north as I am awaking.
I know He is with them as much or maybe more than with me
I marvel at His all-encompassing Godliness, feeling beloved.
hear myself sigh with gratitude as I watch him show His hand.

It is always darkest before the light, they say
And for some of us that is most assuredly true
I almost never see the dawn at the break of day.

I am among those who sleep the dawn through
I sleep away the morning hours 'til nearly noon
And for some of us that is most assuredly true.

Some friends tell me seeing the sunrise is a boon
I treasure my deepest sleep during mid-morning
I sleep away the morning hours 'til nearly noon.

Please do not visit me before noon, I’m warning
For I will be half-asleep and scarcely conversant
I treasure my deepest sleep during mid-morning.

A lifelong practice, I would say it is permanent
Seeing that I am essentially brain dead so early
For I will be half-asleep and scarcely conversant.

Frankly, if awakened before noon, I can be surly
It is always darkest before the light, they say
Seeing that I am essentially brain dead so early
I almost never see the dawn at the break of day.

The Break of Day

The break of day
The break of day is when my mind is most clever.
I sit down on my couch writing,
and it gives me absolute pleasure.
The break of day is a moment that I look forward to.
I realize my responsibilities and what I must do.
The break of day is an active time.
As many thoughts reoccur inside my mind.
The break of day is also, an inspiring time for me.
This is when I focus on being the best that I can be.

Cold break of the day
then a little, light house stands
frozen off the road

Premium Member At Break of Day

we wake up at the crack of dawn
to view the gold sun rise
it’s a glorious sunny morn

let’s wander over verdant hills
crossing the patchwork fields
of vibrant xanthic daffodils

and watch them dance on zephyr breeze
their golden trumpets sound
as blackbirds chirrup in the trees

after a hike we’ll stop and rest
and gaze at the blue sea
our nature rambles are the best!

Just Another Break of Day

I hang my dreams
on the last of stars
as they cling
on this lifeless sky

somewhere
in this darkened plain
my thoughts
leave me
more blushed
than the predawn sky

warmth
touches back
emotionless
in westerly breezes
while jet streams
smile back
in tangerine streams
as day breaks
its silence

See the Break of Day

J-ust see the break of day,
O-n the fourth of May;
Y-our birthday has come, as the dusk fades away.

G-aze at the break of day,
O-nce you rise from your slumber;
N-ight chill has vanished,
Z-enith warms the weather.
A-fter the night is gone,
L-ight brightens the gray;
E-ither eye won't turn blind,
S-ee the break of day.

Break of Day

at horizons edge
crimson sky
touches the ocean

Bright Break of Day

M-orning has broken,
A-s the dusky twilight turns
I-nto warm new dawn.

Topic: Birthday of Mai Domingo (March 30)
Form: Acrostic Haiku

On the Break of Day

A-s the morning sun rises,
Y-our woes and worries depart;
E-arly light is shining above
T-o warm your soul and
H-eart.

P-ouring rain and chill
A-re fading into the night;
C-herish the thirteenth December,
Q-uest for the pure delight.
U-nderneath the blue sky,
I-t's a beautiful Tuesday;
A-iming to deny the dark
O-n the break of day.

Behold the Break of Day

B-ehold the break of day,
E-agerly see the dawn;
B-eautiful morning light
S-hares the fresh horizon.

C-atch the break of day,
O-nce you wake up from slumber;
R-ise of the sun begins
T-o give a fine weather.
E-vening shadows disappear into the dark and gray;
S-unday October first, behold the break of day.

In the Break of Day

I-n the break of day
R-ise of the sun begins;
E-arly light warmly shines
N-ight dark shadow
E-nds.

J-ust gaze at the blue sky
O-n seventeenth November;
Y-our eyes will be amazed,
C-louds above are white
E-ver.

J-ust look at the wide lane
I-n the break of dawn;
M-orning glory has come,
E-vening cold chill is gone.
N-ever stay long in slumber,
E-agerly leave the sleep away;
Z-ealously open your eyes in the break of day.

Comforting Break of Day

C-omforting break of day
H-as made you rise from bed;
E-arly light has brought
R-apture to your head.
R-efreshing break of morn makes heart gladly glow;
Y-our mind denies the pain, your life has left the sorrow.

A-nother delightful dawn
B-reaks and shines so bright;
D-ay twenty-fifth October
O-bliterates the chill of
N-ight.

G-leaming break of day
A-llows your soul to greet;
R-ise of the sun begins,
C-reating rays you meet.
I-t's nice to wake up early, opening a prayer to say;
A-llow your spirit to taste comforting break of day.
