Premium Member The needle trick

Put a nickel on the needle
Hold me down so I won't skip
Spin the red top round and round
Catch me before I hit the ground
You sunk my battleship
You knocked my block off
You catch me quite off guard
Should you ever breathe my way
You'll wreck my house of cards.

Premium Member World of Apathy

the people who love me
for how colorful I am
are few and far between
I’ve learned to keep
my cards close to my chest
I just carry on and do my own thing

years of their raised eyebrows
shrugging shoulders
lack of time for listening
general lack of interest
and minimal validation
cruel and callous comments

why not encourage me
or any other kid
who still has dreams
wanting to flaunt their colors
hopes and ambitions
nurturing the confidence
to create their vision
for standing out in a world of apathy

let’s you and me
wipe the dust off our dreams
and boost their colors
muster all the validation
from deep within
‘cause once dreams have come true
the magic happens
validation and appreciation
come out of the woodwork
because in the end
dreams contribute
to the higher cause

close your eyes and block off
those nasty naysayers
picture those supporters all around you
they don’t know it yet
they’re just waiting to see
your colorful finished product

Brain Short

When life gets heavy
And one is crushed beneath its weight,
Brains can short-circuit
If misery does not abate.

Flooding emotions--
They block off the rational mind,
Thoughts that twirled wildly,
But they never fully aligned.

Numbness on cat's feet;
Fog-filled mind choked with confusion.
Frozen decisions
In the blackness of depression.

Friends say to rest now,
To read, pray--find some enjoyment.
Music is healing;
Balm for the pain of the moment.

God will restore all,
Though it may be a long season.
Loving and caring,
He will revive lasting reason.

Premium Member Spiritual Lessons From Lakeland Fells

There we were all ready to climb Catbells
this climb we'd done some years ago
so thought we needed no map or direction
the weather was lovely the sky so aglow

A crowd was there seemingly on same way
followed along not needing to ask
came to route block off but walked on
never asked had to go back this quite a task

Found the correct signpost and took the route
upwards it was now all along the way
beautiful scenery evident to all around
divinity created all this in a single day

We all need to read God's holy book
so to find the only way to home
never to think we don't need direction
for God's word is our sure word alone

Speak to God open your tongue
make your plea to His majesty on high
ask for His sovereign plan for you
for He knows your days before you die

These are spiritual lessons for our good
revealed through life's every day events
God speaks through our every moments
for in them He always daily frequents

(Was on holiday a few months ago in Lake District and made effort to climb Cat Bells, one of our fav Fell(hill) climbs having done it many years ago, after coming down thought on some spiritual lessons learnt from the events of that day.)

Cairo, Illinois

A block off the river
Just a step from the gutter
A bar that hadn't barred me, yet
I walked in for the first time
And knew I'd come home
A Lucy moment, lucid
In Cairo, Illinois
River town of bars and churches
One on every block
Like a chess match from hell
A queen in every bar
A bishop right next door
Pawns on every stool
Knights galore
I was the king of Cairo
My dive, The Castle
My move, fool's mate.

Con-Sensual

Con-sensual

The sweeter the dream,
 the more personal the heat,
say what? yet I mean ,
little tittys are neat,
on your lap she is sitting,
********’s concrete,
no loving you’re getting,
sore aggots aint sweet,
a teaser I’m betting,
infernal the beat,
the thin cloth is parting,
as fingers compete,
to block off the entrance,
where 2 fools may meet,
as you will her to let you play,
with her seat,
and the passionate kiss,
has you in there toot suite,
con-sensual the cuddle,
as the racing heart beats,
all froth n cream bubble,
almost brain dead, delete,
but death you do cheat,
vesuvious,
 comes the eruption,
complete.

Forgotten Memories

If no one ever told you
Would you say that you remeber
The soul is like a burning ash
It's killing the last ember

If the world was filled with violence
How do you think it would end
The shadow and the hatred
The mind can't comprehend

If you were only given two choices
Would you make the right decision
Block off all of the noises
And clear out your vision

So many things about your future
You forget about your past
You want to see your memory
When you realize your life won't last...
