Premium Memberdead eyes

 I open darken eyes
once,
the coins
have expired.

Come to conscious,
of the monstrous,
I wish,
I could never be.

Swans are gentle
like un-conditional
love of pups
we bring into the world.

This world
makes me mad
the fog of evil,
due to the on-going
devil
taking control of rich
mad of fools.

One day a year,
was a fantasy
to disappear,
No harm
 to a special time,
blowing out
candle rhymes,
wishing upon a star,
to dreams,
that we wish
to come true.....
We still have hope.

Five Days Late

Five days late…
His birthday almost forgot-
but not quite…

The hurt lingered deep.

A small package arrived
addressed to him--
Special
from Dad.

Inside: a watch.
A big boy gift,
for sure.

Gold and bright,
crystal light,
backstamped RollX--
a boy’s treasure,
for sure

Too large for his wrist.
No matter.
He would grow tall,
just like his Dad.

The watch was perfect,
just like it was,

Worn each day with pride--
a symbol
of genuine love and dedication…

How priceless
he was in Dad’s eyes…

Proof.

Scratches
and a flaking finish
didn’t matter.
Neither did
the crack across the face,
or the fact
that it always read
a bit after two.

A good polish--
and it was
good as new.

Like the day
he got it.

Five days late.

Premium Member Seems Like Yesterday Mystic

It seems like yesterday.
When you were to be our first born
We waited for your birth
Two brand new grandmothers that morn.

You took your time, but then we knew.
You had arrived safely and sound
We each held you our precious girl.
Our smiles and joy they knew no bound.

You are our great delight.
We’ve watched you grow up through the years.
 A woman you’ve become.
Our love shines brightly through our tears.

With tears of happiness
Congratulations we both say!
Now Twenty-One, how can that be.
It seems like Yesterday.

One Year of You, Melissa

One Year of You, Melissa

One year ago, the stars began,
And heaven said, "She is mine."
A small spark, a breath so new,
The world was brighter all for you.

Your giggles flower like morning sun,
Your eyes, two stars that brightly shine.
Each step you take, each sound you make,
Turns average days awake.

You've taught us love in its pure form,
In warm fingers and sleepy sighs.
One smile, a coo so soft,
The world seems new with you.

We have witnessed you grow, in wonder, in awe,
Each step taken in love and law.
From lullabies to weeping whines,
You've filled our hearts, you've filled our skies.

Here's to you, our birthday star,
Our miracle, just as you are.
May grace and happiness be with you,
With oceans broad dreams to chase.

A single candle today, but, oh, the flame
It shines hope, it whispers your name.
Happy birthday, little dove,
You are our world, our limitless love.

Nazi time

Nazi time

Uniformed men with ice blue eyes, marched
Up and down the street, bomb fell, earth shock
And I was two years old
An officer with steel rimmed glasses and a cruel
Smile, said: this child is blond and has blue eyes
I clicked my heel, sucked my thumb
Mother, took to singing sentimental lieders
They gave her an iron cross, while dreamed
The kindergarten’s infant Fuhrer
To my regret, peace broke out and life was
Lull again, till I was circumcised and went
To live in Haifa, where I could pee over a new
Wall, which made me a natural leader of men.

Dearest Cousin Yolanda~

Ponderings on our days so very long ago,
When we were the stars of our parents’ lifelong show.
How proud they were to have us at their side!

We were precious and cared for, like angels with sweet smiles
I saw you blossom from a charming, sweet, little girl.
Your mother loved and cared for you, like an expensive, shiny pearl.
I see you as the same diamond child that you once so happily were.

Love,
Cousin Pangiota

Premium MemberLittle Girl

It hit me just today
I saw her in a whole new way
Birthday dinner, just her and I
A thought brought a tear to my eye
Has always been "my little girl"
Now she's about to face the world
Seen her grace of a woman before
Now seeing so much more
Just a girl of seventeen
Trying to find life and what it will bring
Overnight, a woman I see
Transformation into elegance and beauty

No longer a child to hold
She faces life with courage so bold
All grown up, she has no fear
Only memories remain of yesteryear

Last year to find herself true
Final shred of "little girl" for me to cling to
For soon she won't need mom anymore
When she walks through life's front door

So fulfilling- love to watch her grow
Still painful when I have to let her go
I know she is becoming the butterfly
Spreading her wings so she can fly

When I can't weather the storm
Many beautiful memories to keep me warm
This will help see me through
Into her future, she finally grew
She will always be a little girl to me
Her mother- I am proud to be

2 DAYS OF LIFE

Mother whispered stories from the start,
Of the day that etched her heart.
A newborn cry, her tears flowed free,
Tears of joy—for that cry was me.

The family gathered, throwing their bids,
Choosing a name to crown her kid.
A title stamped upon my brow,
A world of promise awaited somehow.

Then comes a day, stark and bare,
When life no longer lingers there.
All you owned, gone in a breath,
Leaving behind a trace of death.

A final paper marked my name,
A hollow milestone cloaked in shame.
Again, my mother’s tears would flow,
Not joy this time, just sorrow's glow.

Her child departed—not by flight,
Nor by ship, nor wheels of might.
This journey knew no engine's churn,
Only silence, cold and stern.

The dead, remembered briefly so,
While the living hold their grief to show.
They praised the child on that last day,
But not when he needed it along the way.

So when I leave, keep it brief,
No need for shows to mask the grief.
For that day holds no grand design,
Let me fade from heart and mind.

Life's value lies not in just two dates—
The birth we hail, the death we state.
But in the days of triumph untold,
And the stories of a life made bold.

CAKE DAY

It's my nephew's birthday
Kendrick by name to be precise
I feel excited and rejuvenated
His birth ignited my burning desire
Awakening my soul
Shifting my perspectives
Shedding old beliefs
He turned 1 year old today.

I admires his attributes
He smiles so bright
Naturally endowed with creativities
I wow and bow
"Whenever I watch his activities"
He's happy and optimistic
A wondrous baby, wunderkind I think.

He's differ but special, very unique.
Even at a very tender age,
He does and give what none can't
Get to know him and you'll see it's true
Wishing him a magnificent birthday
I pray his days on earth be glorious just as he's.
Happy womb escape day my amiable and affable nephew.

Reminded

Every 20 February, I am reminded
Unwanted
Rejected
Unloved

Every 20 February, the dagger twists
Impossible to love
Difficult child
A duty not a joy

Every 20 February, I am reminded
Living mistake
Born a stranger
Resented existence

Every 20 February, the dagger twists
Never good enough
Not deserving
Never worthy

Every 1 September, I am reminded
I am love
I am strength
I am enough

By Cathrin Stuart

The wishes of a child delivered by a birthday candle

The affection of my mother,
a solemn silence of apathy and burning,

the affection that assisted my inevitable yearning,

yearning for fondness, empathy, passion and love,
a cemented wish from the fumes above,

the fumes which escaped from my annual candle,
the vehemence too disconsolate for a young girl to handle,

the solemn silence remains a verifiable memory,
embossed into my soul as if an accessory,

the annual candle, the wish aforementioned,
the yearning, the exigency for a mothers affection.

Eldorado

Eldorado

In Sokoto's land of ancient pride,
A miracle unfolded, your birth inside,
A mother's vision of a daughter dear,
Yet, fate's design wove a different thread, a boy appear.

God's blessings flow like a river wide,
Unfathomable, His wisdom does reside,
No mortal mind can grasp His divine plan,
A mystery that guides the course of life's span.

Your early days, a test of parental might,
Terror gripped their hearts, a fragile light,
Your silence, a concern that would not cease,
A nocturnal journey to the clinic's release.

The doctor's words, a balm to soothe their soul,
The humidity and heat, a temporary role,
Your growth, a tapestry of wonder and might,
A treasure trove of laughter, a heart alight.

Your smile, a radiant sun that lights the way,
A thriller that captivates, come what may,
Eldorado, a son of promise, a shining star,
May your days be long, your journey near and far.

Happy birthday, dear son, may this day be bright,
A celebration of life, a wondrous delight.

Sounds of Birth

Today, this of ours, arrives.
Fragile, nameless and, yet deeply adored.
Nine months of anticipation and care,
Culminate in this precious moment shared.

The first warm rays of a mellow sunrise,
Illuminate the face so pure and divine.
The sweet scent of daffodils fills the air,
As joyful tears and laughter echo off the pink plastered walls.

In this vivid, scent-filled room of delight,
Sweat-drenched adults beam with joyful light.
A new life stirs, and love overflows,
Radiating this precious moment shared.

Make a Wish

A day we all look forward to growing up
A day surrounded by love and cake
Is now replaced with hate

A day I no longer care for
A day I wish I wasn’t the fastest swimmer
Which is crazy because suddenly I can’t swim anymore

Every year something goes wrong
That reminds me what’s the point
This is just a normal day
Just wake up thank God for life and move on

When I was younger I felt bad for people that don’t celebrate their birthdays
But now I understand
I’m one of those people now

If younger me saw me now
She wouldn’t recognize herself
She would be sad at the sight
I’m not just older
I’m sadder than I was as a child

On your 18th Birthday

Eighteen years of love and light,
You've made our life so very bright.
From little steps to towering heights.
You soar so high with endless flights.
With so much love and endless grace,
You light the world and every place.

*****************
Happy birthday, my precious one!
A new chapter has just begun.
As you shine with hope and nerve,
Show the world what you deserve.
