Notes About The Poem

Thanks for your wonderful comments. Some of you notice I don't write as much. Well I have been taking piano lessons to relearn what I once did with ease before lupus and neuropathy. I am being trained to ignore my handicap and play by ear and chords. Also this weekend I was out of town celebrating my birthday when car thieves tried to steal my car. It has a broken window and door lock. While in need of repair I am very grateful to still have my car! The robbery was foiled by my brave son poet here Tahj Jones! Tis the season right? Hugs poets!

Blessed Birthday

I was born this very day
No reason to mourn the right to age
I've birthed a child a wonderful son
Spent this weekend having fun
Within this now year 56
My heart is happy full of bliss
Born Dec 11 and restarted
I get my heaven playing music
Many of you notice I'm not here much
I'm practicing piano and growing my love
I've not abandoned poetry as such
But marrying music my first true love
So thanks for reading my birthday poem
Know I am still reading but focused on song
I appreciate your words and wishes so kind
And will return with song and poetic mind.

Yes the culprits looked to be 13 and not homeless. I am enjoying my day anyway even if calling car repair shops.
