The moon gleams on your pallid complexion.
I cannot keep my eyes off your charm.
Your bony dance is frenetic.
Your wedding dress is chilling.
Your hand holds the sandglass.
When you wish, I am
ready to feel
on my neck
your sharp
scythe.

I can't find words
overwhelming happiness
can't be measured
you fill my heart with joy
I can't utter the word
just let my tears roll down
from my eyes, wearing my gown
I will run along the fjord
and fall into your loving arms.
Come now, Sweetheart!
I'll entwine you with my charm
concurring and benign
promise we'll not break apart
forever, I'm yours
and you be mine.

betrothed to the breeze
heart-shaped leaves flutter down...
cupid's handiwork
sun weaves in and out
in flirtation with the clouds...
love's light never dims
daylight fades quickly
yet, never my love for you...
will stars live so long?

Betrothed
O! Love! My Love! Witholdeth not thine heart!
What guile be this upon thy pit'ous lot?
Beknownst this day my father--King--didst start,
Not I, but he! What grief o'ercomes! Fie! Plot!
O! Love, love. My Love! Thyself beauty's rose
This night mine armour hies anon--thy thrall
To findeth: Thou whom holds mine heart--exposed--
An' carry thee unto yon castle hall.
I am ensnared, entangled full with thee!
Both moon an' stars--they coveteth thy light.
O! Love, love. My Love! Ere fixed be
Thy mark! Thou--alone--my constant, delight.
Aye! Me! Fret not my love! Thy Kiss awaits...
Betrothed are we--my queen--thus...'tis thy fate.

English/Shakespearian sonnet
Using Old English dialogue
*Often, if Shakespeare wished to draw attention to certain areas or lines in his work he would leave a syllable out...thereby 9 instead of 10 syllables in the line...or variations...riddles and mysteries.... :)

My master gentle but not in battle
Above all in heaven and earth he is first
As a lion reigns as a lamb slain from birth
Power to destroy but gives all life
Returning will he find faith I sure hope so
Believing and waiting to be his wife
war the king has won a handmaid looks below

New seed is sown, a baby born; one and twenty years ago.
I felt the moment, I felt the day, and became a man to grow.
You blossomed, the petals emerged; the seed became a radiant flower.
Angel darling, two months ago, I surrendered myself to your power.
Together betrothed, together we will stay, until time ceases to exist
I make this pledge on your birthday, and seal it with my faithful kiss.
