Premium Member Quail Not At Death's Door If You Wrought No Wilful Harm

Quail not at Death’s door if you wrought no wilful harm

Quail not at Death’s door if you wrought no wilful harm
Should turning back in vengeance be the Dead Man’s qualm
Though even as the end nears the comfort of proffered pardon
Will in no way replace the sacrifices to expunge the burden

Sure everyone wreaks harm by chance or through ignorance
During those moments when control depends on circumstance
The way the chips fall is not a matter for individual call
Is not that the way centillions of quarks knock into it all

Do the Dead turn back to set right their splintered houses
Or do the worlds keep spinning guided by original causes
Tell not the man whose wits desert him what’s really wrong
The punishment the Dead incur is a judgement well foregone

He who turns self-righteously around to avenge or to meddle
To set right the world’s injustices in the Manichean treadle
Might earn himself a life’s sentence to roam all over again
Dead people walking numb through friendless terrain

All they may be able to do is to warn you of a fiddle
Of some danger sapping your strength the key to a riddle
Even if friends and relatives who betrayed your confidence
Will cling to spurious justifications ever through repentance

Think not of the lives milling lost in the neck of your clouds
Is there no end to ramifications vilifications in livelihoods
Do the Dead take along with them the history of their lives
And in which distant sibling planet are they stored in archives

If only it were as easy as to look up and wish them all away
What good can this earth be with us all dead in it anyway
Bickering for pieces of molten land pieces of names in decay
Metals and rock on fire hurtling down minuscule Milky Way

What need has the Maker for such a vast and roving Empire
Even children give up playing with trains and coaches on fire
Do the Dead renew passports before entering galactic spaces
Or do they coddle up in comfort in inalienable birth-places

Wouldn’t our world be some thing else but for this baffling secret
The foregone fate of earth-born gods if it weren’t for this regret.

Premium Member What Has God Wrought

Gray skies partially blanketed
with charcoal clouds, framed by
a red rising sun casting light
and magenta up high

The owl hoots instuctions to each
orchestra player near
Roosters trumpet a merry tune
while Mockingbirds sing cheer

Slowly the sun stamps its red mark
upon all trees' shadows
A stillness exaggerates sounds
Gobbles fly like arrows

With each color change in the sky
Awe wraps around each thought
Great is God's blessings of sight
Remember "What has God wrought"?

A famous inventor asked that question after he invented something and I am thinking either the telephone, telegraph or lightbulb..Anyone remember???

Premium Member Beautiful Mystery Wrought By God

So miserable in my wretchedness
I was reached out by God with His mercy
When He offered His precious love’s graciousness
Paid by His blood of divine clemency.

For me to possess life everlasting
Christ sacrificed Himself, tasting death’s gloom
He ransomed my soul; real freedom, granting
Against condemnation-pangs of hell’s doom.

The Lord sought me thru His forgiveness-might
Unshackling my heart from guilt-angst fetters
By His Word that prevails with His truth’s light
He secures my spirit midst sin-twisters.

Such is indeed beautiful mystery
Wrought by God for my faith-blessed victory!*

*1John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

Premium Member What My Dark Knight Wrought

My love for him I’d finally abjure.
My grief was brief ; he was a heartless fake.
But what my dark knight wrought will long endure.

He flew in on a steed, a soul cocksure,
A vision that I even now can’t shake.
My love for him I’d finally abjure.

No humble cavalier, but saboteur,
He bore a two-edged blade and was a rake.
But what my dark knight wrought will long endure.

A grin, black eyes that burned me through - his lure.
And when he spoke, I felt my body quake.
My love for him I’d finally abjure.

My sense of what was right, though grown obscure,
I managed to maintain and not forsake.
But what my dark knight wrought will long endure.

Could passion that he breathed have been my cure?
Unlikely. . . but I reveled in the ache.
My love for him I’d finally abjure,
But what my dark knight wrought will long endure.

Premium Member Victory Praises Wrought By God's Word

God be praised for His work in our victory
Proclaiming that salvation is verily assured by His grace
As taught by His inspired Word*, devoid of any flaw…
Let us then read it with earnestness
And learn from His wisdom of prudent enlightenment!

God be thanked for His triumph in our walk
Declaring that sanctification is only fulfilled thru His cleansing
As affirmed by His preserved Word, secured from sins…
Let us then meditate it with sincerity
And seek His forgiveness along assured peace!

God be honoured for His supplies in our needs
Testifying that satisfaction is bountifully enriched with His sufficiency
As expressed by His inerrant Word, filled with blessings…
Let us then delight in it with prayerfulness
And abide in His goodness of contentment-bliss!

God be magnified for His might in our ministry
Showing that service is acceptably done along His power
As revealed by His pure Word, free from deceit…
Let us then hear it with utmost desire to practice what’s right
And involve in His church for kingdom-advancement!

God be exalted for His favour in our gathering
Telling that sanctuary-worship is genuinely experienced in His holiness
As settled by His immutable Word, asserting “Thus saith the Lord...”
Let us then obey it with heartfelt gratitude
And share His Gospel about redeeming love!

God be lifted-up for His anchor in our upholding
Recognizing that steadfastness is formidably braced upon His strength
As emphasized by His perfect Word, preached for character-building…
Let us then apply it with yielded obedience
And trust His promises of precious value!

God be glorified for His commendation in our jubilation
Commending that success is ultimately attained around His standards
As reminded by His infallible Word, settled upon sovereign truth…
Let us then live by it with growing faith
And follow His instructions of faithful stewardship!

Premium Member My God, Thank You For What You'Ve Wrought Toward Me

August 15 Scripture Meditations Based on Daniel 4-6

Key Verse – Daniel 4:2 I thought it good to shew the signs and wonders that the high God hath wrought toward me.

MY GOD, THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU’VE WROUGHT TOWARD ME

Thank You for what You’ve wrought toward me in terms of my salvation
From a sinner, slain in iniquities’ destruction...
So wonderful it is for my redemption
Together with my eternal adoption.

Thank You for what You’ve wrought toward me in terms of my forgiveness
From a rebel, condemned to hell’s awfulness...
So gracious it is for my righteousness
Together with my divine blessedness.

Thank You for what You’ve wrought toward me in terms of my spirituality
Though a transgressor, devoid of holiness’ purity…
So powerful it is for my Christianity
Together with my assured security.

Thank You for what You’ve wrought toward me in terms of my development
Though a fool, in need of wisdom’s fulfillment…
So helpful it is for my faith-advancement
Together with my heavenly involvement.

Thank You for what You’ve wrought toward me in terms of my testimony-light
Though a skeptic, blinded against spiritual sight…
So enriching it is for my conversion delight
Together with my supplication-plight.

Thank You for what You’ve wrought toward me in terms of my perspective
Though a humanist, sensitive against Scriptures’ imperative…
So transforming it is for my sanctification, surely positive
Together with my biblical directive.

Thank You for what You’ve wrought toward me in terms of my victory
Though a nobody, worthy of fury’s misery…
So triumphant it is since I put my faith in the Gospel story
Together with my service, advancing righteousness’ territory.

Wrought

What have I wrought
When I bought
That universal translator?
Now alien races contact me
I'm scared of what might
come later...
Abduction for me?
I'm afraid to see
Any more than I do now...
So back to Radio Shack,
The translator I'll repack,
And ask for my money back
I got more than I bargained for
When their code I did crack,
Cause now I know,
It just goes to show...
I know they'll soon attack!

Premium Member God-Wrought Transformation

God’s transforming might shows His faithfulness
Shining gloriously with His righteousness…
…Ready to create in me a clean heart
That obeys Him with joy-filled willingness.

God’s empowering love reveals His grace
Enclosing my soul in His care’s embrace…
…Enabling me to serve midst my frailty
Honoring Him devoid of self-pride’s trace.

Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.

Premium Member Target of Opportunity - a Sonnet In Wrought Iron

If you aim to be a blacksmith, boy,
You’ll need fittings built to last.
So, know that if the anvil rings,
It’s been forged instead of cast.
You’ll need to stand the heat regardless
How the bellows feeds the draft,
And hammer down apprenticeship
While mastering your craft.
You’ll need to tend to all specifics
As to tolerance and measure.
And fashion every masterpiece
As a temporary treasure.
A puddler turns out iron by the ton.
A blacksmith makes the tools that get things done.

As Dreams Wrought of Air

I am but insanity…kindled fair
A madness, a sadness
A soul stripped bare
A forlorn sod, forsaken by God
As absent of substance
As dreams wrought of air

I have from emptiness come
Of darkness begotten
Scion of a sire, dark and dire…
I am but the essence forgotten
The unwanted presence
The sharp sear to the skin
From the fire

I am but Heaven and Hell
In an unholy mix
Most unsightly enlightenment
Of such unlikely pair
I am magic made tragic
By soul fooling tricks
I am but insanity
…kindled fair…

Words Wrought Within Dark Depths Of Deepest Grief

The bitterness of a malady sent
Epic heartache of a soul torn and rent
When morn's rays disappear and all joy hides
Sea stands still, moon refuses to bring tides
Light tis invisible all is cold dark
Flowers have no petals, trees have no bark
Silence dances forth rears its ugly head
Lonely tosses its hat in our night-bed.

Cavernous black engulfs air one inhales.
Loss screams death's echoes as life's train derails.

When depths, sorrows of heart stir to invade
Life becomes just a pale, shallow parade
Romance has vanished into the mist
Aching pains into ones' mind spring to twist
All sings loud in a breaking soulful tune
Night brings only heart shattering black moon.

Cavernous black engulfs air one inhales.
Loss screams death's echoes as life's train derails.

Wrought Meanings

The stress and strain of the pulling motion
Pries the appealing eyes of twisted souls
Lost in a night;s occurance
Love once felt the hands of this distrought man
But broken dreams matched with anguish tell stories
Of a life once lived in blood
The edge marked the end of lies and deceit
And the bodies still lay faceless under feet
And the streets painted in blood

Now will, can you listen to me?
My whim must be met as I melt in the eyes
Death must grace her presence as she made him mine
The seat selected she sits in now
As the scarring rows the crowing of dawn
Your decision must be made

The planning of the long awaited stream
Prove their honesty, for the dead lie in piles
Uniform with the writings
I hold my truths present with the value
Reformed to the write and will of those breathing
Can I just pass on by?

Whispers loud to break the ear
crise no longer pain and hurt
the screams of the guilty
Suffer the pen in hand
Fight for free will and free form
Dastardly deeds follow the sick
The bastards stain my hand swith their blood
And love is proven once more

Premium Member God-Wrought Success

My God-wrought success is braced by His compassion*…
Indeed His goodness exercised by His loving might
Constantly transforming me, molded with His patient instruction
As I show His kindness and share His redemption’s light.

My God-upheld victory hails His majesty…
Indeed His glory brightened by His omnipotence
Constantly blessing me in my submission to His authority
As I trust His guidance and acknowledge His security’s insistence.

*Psalm 111:4 He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD is gracious and full of compassion.
