Words Wrought Within Dark Depths of Deepest Grief

Words Wrought Within Dark Depths Of Deepest Grief The bitterness of a malady sent Epic heartache of a soul torn and rent When morn's rays disappear and all joy hides Sea stands still, moon refuses to bring tides Light tis invisible all is cold dark Flowers have no petals, trees have no bark Silence dances forth rears its ugly head Lonely tosses its hat in our night-bed. Cavernous black engulfs air one inhales. Loss screams death's echoes as life's train derails. When depths, sorrows of heart stir to invade Life becomes just a pale, shallow parade Romance has vanished into the mist Aching pains into ones' mind spring to twist All sings loud in a breaking soulful tune Night brings only heart shattering black moon. Cavernous black engulfs air one inhales. Loss screams death's echoes as life's train derails. Robert J. Lindley, 3-23- 2022 Rhyme
