Premium Member Waterfall Wishes On Stars With No Swings

Waterfall wishes on stars with no swings
I’m sending to you on butterfly wings.
Pennies are wasted on a wishing well.
Pennies instead for sweet thoughts that you tell.

Oh, pennies from heaven as your heart sings
waterfall wishes on stars with no swings
and dandelion dreams you hope will come true.
I’ll click my red heels to bring them to you!

Over my rainbow, love can stay blind.
Better than Leprechaun’s gold, you will find
waterfall wishes on stars with no swings
and all of my love attached with no strings.

Close your eyes; take my hand; let yourself feel.
I’ll be your Wendy if you’ll make it real!
Fly me away to a dreamland that brings
waterfall wishes on stars with no swings.

Premium Member Waterfall of Shadows

I watch
as sun slides down in the sky.
The shadows increase in length,
a dark waterfall descending
upon the sandy beach.
Slowly I inhale and exhale,
savoring the fresh flavor
of the evening’s briny sea.

My eyes devour
swirls of lavender wisteria
beautifying the vast expanse
of the darkening cobalt sky.
My sweet summer
has slipped away
with the setting of the sun
on this autumnal equinox day.

The waterfall of shadows
is now a fountain
totally engulfing the shore,
having evolved into
night’s giant all-consuming chrysalis
enwrapping me body and soul.

A sudden rush of wind
and small ripples on the water
transform into turbulent waves
lashing the shoreline where I stand.
I tug my sweater closer to my chest
as I tremble in the gloaming.

cascading
sheets of silver water
spill incessantly into the lake

thundering
beauty before our eyes
beckons us to bathe in radiance

lost in froth
we find ourselves engulfed
by nature’s pulse, shimmering delight

lost in love
my heart is pounding too
falling with the water - into you

Sunlight reave through cerulean sky and drifting clouds,
melting the snow-capped mountains,
through forest heartbeat and trembling leaves,
upon dappled nature's breast.

The placid echo sounds of the brisk captivating waterfall
cascading downward into a plunge pool,
a quenching path to the old roots
and cold rocks dripping in soft wet green moss.

Foliage subdued in a dream
by the crystal stream bank
under the shade of the top branches that weep.

Nature's flawless evolving work of art.

The Heart From Which Flows the Waterfall

There is a little sprinkling of love down deep,
  a wee twinkling (light) ---
  without which we couldn't exist;
like light upon the sleeping cove,
  faint in the thick night,
  afar yet it (glows),
the bloom from the rose has kissed the momentous
  (moment)

Its (body) stem could only pretend to tear into life;
its little vision once as a puddle for a pond,
now the She-Earth has poured her life breath ---
and wept into wild rivers seeking the edges of the world,
  the rain forests welcome her flow of lovely;
rainbow waves, and bubbles to bounce
  where children play,
whence the nestled nightingale sings his plea

All of life bound beyond the eye, tethered at last to feel,
  to see....
  what is in front of thee;
the mountain moans, the mountain groans!
the felt whispered winds all Earth within,
the body weens into mind, emotion, things unseen...

What of worlds, and wolds of vast cosmos,
a quasar billions of might of Earth's sun,
  yet a soul singular,
more mighty than thy many quasar flight?

The mother defys death to save her babe ---
in it all the world is saved,
  one world enough, upon the galaxies bereaved;
one flower to make a universe,
and set it upon its course of so much more....

One from which flows the waterfall,
  the tumbling tender truth;
  from kind thought ---
your life to have all anew,
a fresh poured cure, to mold
  endure....
  what God would have of you;
a mighty wave upon the ramparts,
a new love upon the land,
  a bloom forthwith,
sing ye, all Kings and Queens of Earth!

 Listen to the
ticking hands of twilight,
close your eyes,
while I take your thoughts
   to an ivory reverie of
flickering fantasies…
there I’m cruising
above an
 island of mystery
in a flying
 glass catamaran~
glazed in
fairy sparkles.
Watching the
shimmering sea
swallow flaming rays
of the sinking sunset,
I slowly dive
  deep
   into the
lungs of
  lyrical lagoon
to surf along
  saffron waves,
against
 twinkling tides,
while the
 seraphic soul
of an emerald
oyster crest
 unravels a
  sparkling carnival
of summery parade.

I am magnetically
        captivated,
chasing a school of
    dancing dolphins,
with every spin,
 they reflect hypnotic
 songs of the ocean~
a ballet of butterfly-rays,
swirl to symphonies
echoing from the
 marine kingdom,
there sharks
   and turtles together
croon secrets lost within
the aquatic
  jungle of life.

When the
spirits that carry
  sunken sagas of
  coral reefs rise,
a mystical goddess
  emerges beyond
  the wide horizon,
where the moon is
meant to glow
and unfurl silvery
chronicles of
crystal clear memories.
She is dressed
in glistening algae,
her scales mirror
a musical melancholy;
tales untold and unseen
in the eyes
 of flawed creatures.
Her beauty is beyond any
ballads woven from
salt soaked diamonds.

I question her in awe;
“What flows
 beneath violet ripples,
   ruffling with starry souvenirs?
Do you hear
midnight serenades
of coastal birds,
when neon gems
light up the sea of fire?”

In silence, she whispered
 into the drifting wind,
“I am the sovereign of
        seafarers and day dreamers,
                   I guide the lost to
                     a sanctuary of serenity”
Her words
  kept circling in
     ringing refrain,
and I let
   my thoughts float,
in the
watery credence
of her cryptic tunes,
as she
 vanished
   into nothingness,
leaving a fragrant tint across
the celestial
canvas of the sky.

Now the mermaid moon
draws a halo
in fluorescent
  colors of her
rainbow tail fin,
splattering a trail of letters,
moving in
    zig
       zag across
the azure,
   knitted in lucky charms~
while initials of this tale
ignites the universe
like
waterfall chandeliers.

From high up
The rushing water leaps
A daring dive into the unknown.

Unrestrained
It tumbles down, eyes closed
Savouring the adrenalin rush

Of bold youth;
It flows in breathless flight
Crystalline streaks of exuberance.

Deafening
The roar of fulfilment
As waters meet and avidly merge.

Nature Portraits - Mountain, Sequoia, Sunset, Thunderstorm, Waterfall

The grandeur of a majestic mountain
standing proud against the horizon
with its snow-capped peak
enveloped in fleecy white clouds
against a clear azure blue sky

The glorious majesty of a stately sequoia
towering above the surrounding vegetation
being the largest living thing on earth
its massive trunk over thirty feet wide
with its gnarled rugged beauty

The wondrous artistry of the setting sun
edging the darkened clouds with silver linings
and painting the evening sky
in brilliant colours of the rainbow
mirrored on the ocean's surface below

The awesome power of a thunderstorm at night
with jagged bolts of lightning
that split the darkness
and light up the surroundings
with blinding dazzling intensity

The thunderous roar of a mighty waterfall
cascading down in huge torrents of liquid fury
smashing into the water below
creating mists of water droplets
that transform the sunlight into a rainbow

The Waterfall

I am a waterfall , cascading , descending , trickling down
all over your sunkissed shoulders , and a hundred bare thoughts .
Smell me , A delicate fragrance like that of drying cotton linen
perched on the line of an early Spring morn.
Hear me .Listen to my swish-swoosh sound
a distant echo of a babbling brook within your silence.
Taste me . Quench your thirst from the smooth outpour of my waters.
Have me . Have all I own , rippled palettes where I stirred
crimsons , whites and blues , to give you lilacs .
Moist velvet lilacs that tickle softly along your back ,
between your toes ,against the arms of your resistance.
Feel me, feel my fresh gushes extinguish embers
which burned too quick your camping hammock
and ripped you off a million candle dreams.
Let me be . Let me become the bed of promise in your lone night.
Let me stay . I'll stay , I sway and play. Like a mandarin's lullaby ,
I'll rock you slowly into sleep beneath a canopy of forest trees.
I am the waterfall , where once in yesterday your fingers tossed
the last of of coins , with atheistic need.
Here on the edge , I'm waiting for you , to grant your wish and your release.
Till you return I keep on falling , flowing down freely from mountain creeks.

Under the Waterfall

Wings flutter
     off in the distance
as I shuffle through these stones,
tasting the energy trapped in each,
scouring my lands
         for my lost crystal,
that which can mend
what I’ve torn asunder.

In frustration
   I abandon my quest,
deciding to find
     my feathery deity,
the wind carries her scent to me
and I head Northeast,
  diving through brush
          and dodging trees
like only a Lycan may.
She must have picked up on my intentions
for I sense her
  heading towards me
so I veer more northward,
   there’s a place I know.

As I draw near
   you can hear water
      cascading off rocks,
when I arrive the moon is up,
clouds curled beneath it
as if it were a white pearl
  resting on gray cushions,
to the right
   the beginnings of a river
being fed by the waterfall,
about 80’ tall
  careening off the three
stone outcroppings
and filling the air in the clearing
with a fine mist,
 the left is ringed
by long needled pines
which have supplied the ground
with a soft cushion.

My winged beauty
lands on the third outcropping
whipping her hair back
under the waterfall’s edge.
I sprint to the water’s shore
and leap to the first,
as my claws connect
bound to the second,
paws touching
   then legs thrust me
to the third
where I bring myself erect,
   better to ensnare my love
within my arms.

As I bring her close to me
she raises her left hand up
and caresses my muzzle and cheek
with her claws,
I bend downward
    and gently
sink my teeth
into the side of her neck,
she springs off the precipice ,
    me entwined,
and glides down to the pine needle bed.

As we land
  she pushes herself up,
drags her right claw
down my chest
     and leans in to drink.
I drag one nail along
    each shoulder blade
and let her blood
   drip down on me
while I lick my claws clean.

After hours
   she crashes down
into my chest,
exhaustion settling in.
I cup my hand around the back of her head,
   hair entwined
in my fingers
and as she uses her wings
to blanket us
we drift off
into a pleasant slumber
while the stars blink at us
and the night creatures
serenade us with their calls.

The Waterfall Maiden Part 2

For everyday since that meeting
He came back to peer within
And Myla had grown brave
And began to talk to him

To the voice he listened intently
Always wishing that she were real
For the times that were spent together
Gave a joy he could not conceal

The day of the celebration arrived
Myla nervous but practiced and sure
Her beauty no one could deny
And her heart shown so loving and pure

When the dance was over and done
The orchestra played on with delight
But this is where Myla was frightened
For she wanted to run and take flight

The crowd full of handsome, young gentlemen
That all stammered to have a try
To dance a dance with Princess Myla
All of them did vie

But Myla innocent and unknowing
Wanted simply to disappear
For dancing with a stranger
Had filled her thoroughly with fear

Her gaze was pointed downward
When she heard a voice that soothed
And when her eyes looked upon him
She smiled for him she knew

They looked deep into each other’s eyes
As if they had met before
But the young prince knew he had not
And escorted her toward the dance floor

He could not understand his emotion
The depth of which he felt
This girl that he had just met
Had totally made his heart melt

Then she spoke a word, just a whisper
And a knowing inside him did rise
This beauty that was also a princess
Was his maid of the waterfall in disguise

The dance seemed to last all night
For the rest of their lives they did twirl
For in the depths of this pond of water
This prince found not a maid but a pearl

Dedicated to Myla Sydnee Downs Perry a gem of a girl

Escaping
from far confined spaces
longing for freedom over the rim

Highlighted
flowing wavy tresses
cascading over rocky shoulders

Rushing sounds
of an endless stampede
racing and galloping through the air

Frothy fluffs
of white bubbly splendor
splashing, glistening in the sunlight

The Waterfall Maiden Part 1

The pillowed swing is waiting for you
The creaking of the chain just right
The coolness of the porch sets the mood
Now come snuggle in real tight

For I’ll tell of a princess named Myla
Who would hide neath the waterfall
So no one could see her dancing
In case she happened to fall

She wanted to get her twirl down
It had to be perfect because
The entire kingdom would be watching
And she could not show a flaw

Her twirl was a thing of perfection
Her head she tilted just right
Her dark curls would swing with the movement
Oh it gave her a squeal of delight

One day as she sat dreaming
She peered through the waterfall
And the sight she saw before her
Well it did totally enthrall

A boy she’d never met
Stooped to drink from the cool of the pond
She spoke to him through the din of the fall
So that he might not ride on

Who is that, that is speaking
Your voice where does it come from
Please tell me that I might find you
Or from the heat have I succumb

Myla then realized her dilemma
Her hiding place she would not share
It was the only place she had to be alone
So behind the falls she waited and stared

This boy so handsome but gentle
His eyes seemed to peer right through
Myla longed to speak but she knew
The problem that would ensue

The days that followed she’d hide
Neath the cool of the waterfall
And Myla would practice her dancing
Until the time she’d hear him call
