Premium Member Not Without a Washer

Something minute had been carefully tucked away, it was a nut
Got loose, rolled helplessly away, had no direction afraid, she shut
Her eyes, and slowly rolled towards a destined force,
An eager bolt nearby bolt gave her the eye, she thought to pause,
She looked at him said hi, but continued to roll and to strut,
The bolt flirted outrageously with this shiny nut, that felt
Maybe he should be bolted onto her, but quick action was now due
The feeling in his gut sent urgent message, he whispered to
the nut, that next door, there was an empty little hut, she thought a bit
But excited so surprised, she rolled her eyes, was not about to quit,
They tumbled and bumped and arrived at the hut together, at ease
but excited, she coyly asked, may we use a washer please.

The Washer Woman of Canyonlands

The Washer Woman in Canyonlands

An old woman laments
of her daily chores,
the stinging lye soap
and a biting washboard.

With knuckles bleeding
into the day’s dirty water,
she sighs and prays
for a better tomorrow.

Washer Online

My washer went online today.
They say my money's old.
I'll have to use my debit card
is all that I've been told.

I wonder what is coming next.
Perhaps I'll browse the net.
I'll probably play an MP3
and dance till clothes get wet.

I hope it isn't hacked at all.
My clothes would suffer much.
Those hackers like to rinse all day.
and spin for just a touch.

The dryer also wants my card.
It's friendlier I find.
With fewer buttons needing me,
to less time that we'll bind.

The cycles all but calling me
in actions for a chip.
To slide my card both in and out,
confusing for a trip.

And if I go to use a coin,
it simply can't be done.
My money's all but worthless
and the spin has just begun.

Premium Member Window Washer Committee

A grayish blue beluga whale arrived two minutes too late.
The whole committee yelled "no" before half past eight.

Fifteen minutes later, a filthy, smelly camel tromped in,
Making the whole committee laugh out of their skin.

A lion tried to enter, roaring with all of his might.
We knew we couldn't get him back out without a fight.

So we barricaded the door, and we shushed each other,
And we tried not to argue, which was hard for my mother.

There wasn't any problem until three days ago.
We had no beefs, and it had not yet snowed.

Our ideal window washer has been here forever and a day.
He’d be here still if the good Lord had not taken him away.

He was here yesterday, the big, giant cad.
But he's dead now, and we're all spitting mad.

This committee was hastily assembled in the aftermath.
Fred had been here forever and a day, our own smart giraffe.

He’d washed our windows, he’d sorted our mail, he’d spoiled us rotten,
And now he was resting outside in a soft fluffy field of cotton.

“No, sorry, we’d say quickly, without fear.
Wishing Fred would wake up and come running back here.

But the giraffes cannot go on after they're dead,
So we ended up hiring a stack of monkeys instead.

DISHWASHER

I am a dishwasher
White as a clean plate
Made to loosen up the stain and stuck food particles
I am surrounded by soap and water, cups and saucers, pans and pots
Eventually I will wash away all the food and grease
Liken my cousin the washing machine when I'm done the dishes are clean
I am a dishwasher

Premium Member Little Ghost Loved the Washer

The little ghost loved the washer, so much, he could not get enough.
He liked tumbling in suds among sweaters, blouses and stuff.
You can enjoy it all day, his mother said. I know you like to be clean.
But make yourself invisible, so you will not be noticed or seen.

shaped shaped like a barrel
on top of it a wringer
with a handle place in the clothes

Too wring out put it in a wicker basket
And then take to the clothesline
and hang up too dry outside

That task was a job., was a shore

Ringer Washer

Washing clothes
a long days job as the new wash machine mom had was too good to be used
a Maytag ringer in the basement was the clue
Hot water fills the larger washer as it went round and round
pulling out the clothes, piece by piece
gentle and carefully into the ringer
as it sqeezed the water out
into a new tub of hot water, up and down splashing about
then into the third tub
finally through the ringer again
almost dry
to the lines outside under a hot summer sky

Premium Member Is it a Washer?

I'll give you a hint.
I put a sock in it.
I wondered where it went.
It came out as lint.

Won't you tell me mister
if it is a washer?
Or may I inquire
if it is a dryer.

One Hand Washer the Other

Premium Member Lord God, You Are My Life Washer

October 9 Relationship to God Bible Meditations Based on John 13-14

Key Verse – John 13:10 Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash [his] feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all.

LORD GOD, YOU ARE MY LIFE WASHER

Lord God, You are my life Washer
for my cleansing toward Your blessing
Thank You for purifying me against sins’ hell-bound cursing
Surely purging my soul from worldliness-immersing---
Please keep on sanctifying me; while my faith You are increasing.

Lord God, You are my life Washer
for my steps toward righteousness
Thank You for revealing to me Your Word’s truthfulness
Surely showing to my heart the essence of holiness---
Please keep on transforming me, Your servant of faithfulness.

Lord God, You are my life Washer
for my stand upon Biblical spirituality
Thank You for enabling me to follow You and trust Your authority
Surely leading my steps with peace against falsity---
Please keep on enclosing me around Your security’s certainty.

Lord God, You are my life Washer
for my entrance into Your throne of grace
Thank You for forgiving me when I confess my evil ways
Surely pardoning my transgressions in my daily pace---
Please keep on helping me to pray always by Your merciful brace.

Lord God, You are my life Washer
for my walk along paths of compassion
Thank You for allowing me to involve in Your ministerial function
Surely satisfying my contentment with Your sufficient provision---
Please keep on guiding me to fulfill servanthood-commission.

Lord God, You are my life Washer
for my works to abound by Your might
Thank You for loving me so much with purity’s delight
Surely cheering my spirit toward laboring against slothfulness’ blight---
Please keep on moving me toward productivity height.

Lord God, You are my life Washer
for my dependence to the Holy Ghost every moment
Thank You for pulling me to Your presence from iniquity’s detriment
Surely teaching my mind with Your wisdom against doubt’s impediment---
Please keep on instructing me by Your Scriptural commandment.

Premium Member The Washer

The washer spins, tumbling clothes, as thoughts tumble in my mind
New things I have learned today, that years I had tried to find
The truth is important as always, but some of it can hurt deeply too
All of it will come out in the wash, to be cleansing fully through
Loss, heartache, betrayal and all she lied
The depth of secrets held, when one died
Now, it is the time, as more surfaces to be known
With more evidence, of this long flight I have flown

Dirtiest Old Used New Washer

it is the third month of the year
a cool and twitchy twenty-eight days
have past (pass) and gone a wrong (array)
twenty-seventeen, this the year of a understanding
of what i can (could) not say
but enterprise is not my fortune
for often others have been and molded
my reality into shapes of unwanted fate

Premium Member Halloween Window Washer

Halloween window washer sprays himself in the face
Cares not a whit, for he does not have eyes in place.
Being a skeleton makes it so easy for him someone says.
It is a jealous old witch named Lucinda Inez.

Halloween window washer gives her a blast with his gun.
She falls off her broom, six stories down, which is kind of fun.
Her familiar, a cat, stays on the broom and drives it around.
The last time I say him, he was dancing on it all over town.
