On the shadowed banks of river they sat together
Adulating setting sun quivering in rippling currents
Where golden filaments shimmered on blue water
Forming and breaking ephemeral circular motions
Undulating amber rays on eve’s buoyant emotions.

Her dimples smiled upon her visage of royal poise
Enticing him to probe her cheerful, enamored eyes
Mesmerizing as yet un-blossomed amatory dreams
As they raved of college, friends, late nights carefree
Exploring coyly maiden impulses of mature themes
Inflaming seductively, untrodden clues of fantasies.

Alas! those memories now~ dulcet still, but empty.

Never he saw her again on her side of the prairies
Strolling nonchalantly, engrossed in birds chirping,
No one standing there now to steal his glances slyly
Hiding behind notions of secrecy, at first meekly,
Though later, quite daringly, wantonly, frequently;
Elevating him unlike anyone else, before, or since.

Her last letter to him was cryptic, yet informative:
A rustic farm house, cow moos amid clucking sounds,
Boy and a girl, flower beds, and a dog named Duffy~
A simple life on landscapes lauding ancestral heritage.

He remembers well~ saying it, genuinely meaning it,
As movingly she indulged in life that could have been,
Awkwardly dropping hints, soon she’ll be married.

Yet, here she is now intimating, she too so loved him~
Validating his belief—though offering a mere fig leaf--
A vain gesture to convince him she honored his dream
Memorializing secret pact, living life in his blueprint:
Boy and a girl, rustic farm house, a dog named Duffy.

Premium Member In Defense of the Guardian

While the guardian of night watches
a looming thunderstorm , the power
of his animus defends earthy home
and a village’s turf with grit… and in
the stillness of a child or wife’s rest,
when twitching snaps of a labor’s chime
rings out, this protector aches for respect
and admiration to forge ahead into
gateways of Olympian struggles;
molded like so by creation’s decree.

Though labeled as a dominant ruler ,
it is his gentle side that comforts
all: lending a compassionate hand,
affirming a woman’s essence, and thirsting
to reveal human frailties without question.
Knowingly ,the peg behind the guardian of nights
is home's queen, fueling a determined will
and affectionate spirit by validating his
man’s untiring role…without question.

Premium Member Touch Me

Touch me with your eyes
Let them roam all over me
Staring at what they desire
Embers of your soul’s fire
Touch me with your eyes

Touch me with your smile
Lighting me with need
Validating my form
With a curl of praise
Promise of what is to come
Touch me with your smile

Touch me with your tongue
Your ambassador of love
Sent to foreign lands: my body
Let it tease me
Please me
Fill me
Thrill me
Representing you
And what you will do
Touch me with your tongue

Touch me with your words
Let them make love to my mind
An intercourse of flames
Working their way into the folds
Of where my desires lie
Dormant...still
Waiting to be found
Touch me with your words

Touch me with your thoughts
Turn them into hands
That caress
Ravishingly posses
Enslave to liberate
Able to satiate
Pain to sedate
Determined to consummate
My rebel needs
Touch me with your thoughts

Touch me with your heart
Spread it all over mine
Let them beat in time
Sweetest rhythm
Pulsating rhyme
Sublime
The thunder of love
The symphony of life
A exultant melody
Of ecstasy
Touch me with your heart

Touch me with your body
The beauty of your frame
A man's mission to claim
To drive in the stake
Marking ownership of me
Touch me with your body

Oh...resurrect me with your touch!
Touch me
TOUCH me
Touch ME
TOUCH ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Touch me deep inside
Where my fantasy lies
Sleeping
A Sleeping Beauty
Waiting for your kiss of bliss
Touch me with your lips
Make me come
ALIVE!

Abundant sunshine warms the day
Beauty delights, colors
call the soul to explore spring's gifts
Dappled woods, jonquils' butter

Echoing birds from tender limbs
Fabulous scents waft gently
Gorgeous sunrise transforms the scene
Habitats worked intently

Idealise the beauty of blooms
Jonquils, tulips flower
Keynotes to springs' vivacity
Luscious scents empower

Magnificent artistry lures
Narcissus white invites
Opulent scent streams forth in waves
Penetrating the night

Question not the wisteria's grace
Relish the beauty seen
Springform pan releases explosion
Tumbling out shades of green

Uninterrupted spring flows on
Validating rebirth
With wonder the world looks on
Xenopus gives birth

Yearly the splendor captivates
Zestiest season when love dates

Kathy the Calming Sea

Kathy The Calming Sea

You're just like a calming sea
singing us your final song of love
you will be forever in our hearts
in our memories, for eternity
now you're without pain,
without any suffering
we all love you still
you'll look down from heaven
watching over us helping us along
our way keeping us safe and sound
silently validating in our choices
at night I see you in my dreams
we will forever love you and keep
you in our hearts remembering every caring word you sang
in your sweet, beautiful voice
we miss you and love you, Kathy Ricks

Advent - the Basis of the Christian Church

Advent is the first celebration of the Christian church,
Its first calendar event, not in December but in November,
On the last Sunday of November, and is normally, usually,
The first festival/celebration of the church year, remember.

Shops sell advent calendars to excite us into Christmas,
Where you can open small, numbered flaps to reveal,
A Christmas sentiment, thought or event as an icon,
Which lets you broad-mindedly appreciate xmas for real.

The four Sundays of Advent mark four different things:
The first destroys the myth Jesus was a total surprise,
Because it finds ancient predictions in Isaiah and Micah,
As the media were the prophets then, with wide open eyes.

The second Sunday lights a purple candle for hope,
Hope for societal revolution of the poor’s healthcare;
And also secondarily, hope in god who would ramify,
This plight so difficult in Jesus’ time, now a familiarity.

The third emphasises that you will find joy, pleasure,
If you believe that Jesus’ message was valid and required,
At that time in which the rich monopolised medicine,
Such that that his followers had to persevere as inspired.

And the fourth Sunday celebrates the Christian church,
Coining a word, incarnation, for the belief in Jesus as god,
For believing that god’s finger touched the baby’s skin,
Validating that parental obedience, that poverty of the kin.

And Advent candles suggest that truth was secured then,
By Jesus death which stated the worth of liberating,
Disabled and ill people into health and happiness,
Because this societal light shines multiply as pervading.

Elevator

The lights that are alive
Beam my mind in knots
Fishbowled on an elevator, brushing beanstalk men in black
Eyes up; I'm stubbed and trapped in my panicked plight
One tips his topper and says “the galaxy is behind you”
I didn't know what to make of it, yet felt profoundly moved
Then an alarm licked my ear and climbed inside my bones

In solace I try to remember: who, how and what and why
Oh, that's the shape of dreaming, floors morph into skies
Later on I came to see, the voice was mine in guise
Validating subconscious truths, from another mouth and eyes
Were we stagnantly still, or soaring on the rise, or to demise?
Or were we always moving like the lights that are alive?

Premium Member The Discovery of a Lifetime

I sat patiently waiting for a fun time to come,
For my life to be happy, full of cheer.
Meekly living a life watching genuine fun pass me by,
From a day, to a month, to a year.

My life song routine was predictable, was easy,
No emotional yards to overcome.
The T.V. shows timetabled, and kid’s sports all planned,
Success made me hysterically numb.

Achieving was fake, meant zero… nothing at all,
Validating how I was living my life.
That’s when I discussed, with myself, things important to me,
That’s when I sat down and talked with my wife.

I needed to glide off a cliff, to wake on a beach,
To exit a plane on the other side of the Earth.
To sing, write poems, and paint all night long,
To find out what I think I am worth.

And now I don’t sit, I’m not patient nor quiet,
I don’t watch others feign happy and gay.
I have a life of too busy doing things that I love,
I saved myself, I’m the exonerated beach castaway.

Revelation

Am I nothing more than shedding skin
The epidermis of a microbial mistake
DNA strands stretched over infinite space
The free flowing prose of linear evolution
Winter hexagons and Summer triangles
Andromeda, Perseus, & the mighty Hercules
Fabled forms of coincidental constellations
Names drawn by our conspiring consternation
As cryptic comets blaze pastel nights
Genesis hypothesized by philosophical eyes
Meticulously immortalized with bound antiquity
Proverbs quoted for fear of a religious ruse
Decried by atheists of heliocentric hues
Quantum physics validating life’s variation
As agnostics attempt to eclipse indignation
But for every Big Bang there is an end
Autumn cannot Spring from nothing
And no matter what creation portends
Intelligence is relative by design

Marianne

Strolling southern seashore in mists of September
searching for something set to stay,
her mind that meanders,
remarkable meters,
perplexing the phantoms at play.

Voices validating vague vagrant vocations
of poetry placed in parade,
with words waged in warring,
warning of the wheighman,
who knew you had dues left unpaid.

Before the seashore became her domain,
she’d wandered the wayside of pain,
locked in psychotic box
Doctor’s ticking clocks,
saying drain her poor brain once again.

Prefer sleep on the street keep her beat from defeat
she found sound vocation once more,
tourist response sterling,
shape sand to her seeing,
she sells sea shells, by the sea shore.

Day Mind
Night Mind

A door is open.
Through the doorway,
I see a wall weakly
illumined.
A distorted shadow slouches,
menacingly along it.
I close my eyes,
my toes grip
the carpet.
I do not want to see,
what I despairimgly
believe will be,
the cause of
my demise.
Hot exhalation flows
over my face.
I fear it.
Surely it must
be the breath
of what I am certain
will do me harm.

Human nature activates.
My toes grip?
A surface hard.
I open my eyes.
I am on
the edge of
 a canyon.
The heated air
is nature’s respiration.
I feel under me,
the ground backsliding.
I see the approaching
drop off.
I cannot resist the
movement.
I am suspended in space.
My toes grip?
Nothing.
I look skyward.
My body rotates,
and I am looking
at the Canyon wall.

I close my eyes.
My only defense,
not knowing,
when I will impact.
My toes grip?
Wet sand, the earth’s
breath is ocean fresh.
Roaring waves approach,
enveloping me.
Sea creatures surround me,
swimming intently, guided,
by internal apps,
downloaded at birth.
Finny predators nudge
my swirling torso.
I am rising.
Surfacing in a bath tub,
a rubber duck,
bobs in unison
with a toy boat.
I struggle out of
 my fiberglass container.

The child I was
glares at me,
from a mirrored door.
Then steps into the room,
and shoves me.
Stumbling backwards,
I grab a rope,
and swing into,
an aluminum tree forest.
All the
owls, sound like
Santa Claus.
Multi-color pine cones,
 hang glistening, with
fake frost.
My logic app,
responds to challenge,
my senses.
Impossible situation alerts,
detours further
dream distortions.
In my mind,
one more apparition.
A charcoal whale,
inhales the output
of my Night Mind.
My Day Mind
exudes endorphins.
Soothes me awake,
validating it was
all a purging,
of the tensions
of the past day.
Bizarre encounters,
Carrying away,
mental poisons.

The Mistaken Who Mistook

No citadel’s too tall for mortals like you.
Even acclivity of mounts fear of bipeds like you.
Adam’s ale in its ampleness has lost its meaning.
And only with your condonance,
do the flowers un-bud and birds do sing.
But let’s see, if this almighty can pass in my little catechism;
And a test it is; shouldn’t be misconceived with any criticism:

So, in the unfolding, will you also make the butterfly to unfold,
its hued aileron as per your yearn and control?
And As per your hankering, will you as well repaint,
the black calamus of the cormorant?
What has been quenching the thirst for years,
will now go from blue to black?
will you do all this to everyone and
Then save yourself the flak?

Will the new clock scoot a tick?
The viaducts have no brick?
Will the berdas rumble and the cougars sing?
Will the off-springs dummy up their begetters in the forthcoming?

Succumb or give an answer, are the only ways you’ve got!

Cause’ what you’ve been doing, I dub it as prying.
And there exists no amnesty for what you’ve been trying.
You’ve been a fine jeweler for the prime;
Validating the originality of a corundum’s been your style.
So how come you changed your vogue; negative appraisal is all you report?
Since when were you born with the power to transmogrify?
One could not get to azure, if you ever denied?

It’s never too late for home, even if you start back today,
You’re never too late for home, if you grow into a new You on the way.
You’ve been vexing the orb for years and yet go on, cause it owns no speech.
Narcissistic you are I hate to say; You never did as you preached.
But you still get a chance, to outweigh all your flaws,
Capitulate to the architect; cause he’s the only one who knows,
How the orb would relearn to live and the art for the orb to re-grow.

To bend is not for the anemic; But for those who aspire to learn.
Meek you’re not but strong enough to have ‘to be transformed’, as what you yearn.
Believe me when you reach home today,
they will get to see the stronger You.
For yes, I’d still like to admit
No citadel’s too tall for a mortal like you.

Oh, Dont Mind Me

 a small cased letter
no punctuation or full stops
just endless continuation of something that exists

no meaning
no reason
just average evolution
for those of us that live by the tick and not the tock

patiently waiting
side line suvaying
cheering on the big boys
passing our turn

so sign my name on the dotted line
no need to cross the t
it's better if you just leave it there
like the world has left me

yes there's no use debating
arguing or validating
that some people are smalled cased letters
and some are just Big
