Nobody owns anything but everyone is rich - for what greater wealth can there be than cheerfulness, peace of mind, and freedom from anxiety? ~Thomas More
She won't let caretakers cut down wildflowers
living under the hedge at the boundary edge
of her very small plot in its very small slot
in the unending rows of homes in repose,
in which sameness is virtue and uniqueness is vitriol.
Rebellion is not trivial, in fact it is evil;
how dare you suppose, or try to expose
the snugly fit knots designed by despots;
the ones who make pledge, and use every sharp wedge
to split off the capers of the few troublemakers!
Epilogue: The woman who loved wildflowers has disappeared
and no one remembers her, or if she even existed at all.
We have taken all anxiety
into our dreams
cruel, unfathomable acts
lodge into our fascia, as pain
Part of a raging beast,
oozing out of control
helpless cells, imbued with a wisdom
overcome by cancerous greed.
We chase frothy bubbles
lose concerns in selfish
pursuits-far be it from us to be
the conduit that delivers peace
Our earth
seen from a moon flight
has a fragile beauty well known to us
Its oceans are blue miracles,
clear water, pure air, be-mucked by enterprise
and murder, murder everywhere.
Cities spread un- checked, razing field and forest
Death hangs over us- the years too brief
Two and fro we leap from history to history
Blood and mayhem and un-numbered griefs.
The world, so full of trouble, as Utopia sleeps

True love lost direction
when bloomed my affection
for you, who magically weave word
decidedly smitten
by your comic verse written
my long-dead emotions were stirred
Chats online
yours and mine
the order of the day
word-sparring and witticism
rhyming and rhythm
intoxicating; who needs rosé?
By poetry joined
rich phrases we coined
muuuchly our lives intertwined
o'er miles merged our aura
with a burning urge for a
naked horizontal align
When in waltzed a skirt
you hit pay dirt
a writer within her own right
my utopia thwarted
firm resolve faltered
my love remains steadfast despite
one should learn to dive
before seeking atlantis
on the ocean floor
i yearn for a world devoid of struggle,
where peoples are one, respectful of other people.
where bonds transcend gender, colors, beliefs, and creeds.
a world devoid of wants, and people live simply with their needs.
i would love to walk along the streets, unhindered by fear.
tread along the pathways safely, something, i long so dear.
let the place i live upon, be absent of violence, crimes, and hate.
across divides, let the peoples be united, living as one blissful state.
if only in this world, no one lives in hunger.
everybody learns to share their resources, no matter how meager.
let no single child be abandoned, uncared and unwanted.
let the whole world be one big village; foster everyone, and care be warranted.
but no, this world, i realized, is only just a dream;
with all the chaos, hopeless as it may seem.
people fighting, nations warring, where can peace reside?
when will this ocean of blood and tears subside?
when will this world be healed from strife?
when will the people stop sending others to the after-life?
when will this world be truly free?
all those questions i’m asking, i hope, it’s not just me?
Life should be about happy dancing,
living, loving and romancing.Quote - Poet’s own
Utopia would be a world at peace
Where there is no war and all conflicts cease
With all folk having a place to call home
streets and all places being safe to roam.
Utopia would be land of plenty
No one having a cupboard that’s empty
Where all people were loving and giving
And there was never need of forgiving.
Utopia would be world unity
Freedom to be what one wishes to be
A place where earthly creatures large or small
Aren’t being hunted for profit at all.
Utopia would be same as a bird
Never having to hear an angry word
Free and never being locked up in chains
No tears falling for fears and no constrains.
Utopia would be hands across sea
Joined together in world wide harmony
One day I pray that my dream will come true
Brothers and sisters come pray with me too.
" Imagine a place where there is beauty, bliss and plentifulness for all. It is nothing short of utopia. Though we are far from realizing it, isn't it thrilling to imagine a version of the world different from the existing one where all disparities will be leveled and happiness and freedom are made the birthright of all? Now such a world is enshrouded in mist. But who can say it won't emerge suddenly from the blue in some distant future"- By Poet
Though, utopia is merely an illusion,
Or a chimera born in the womb of our whims,
I shall take you to a near-utopian land,
Where, peace and beauty blossom like the cherry in spring
And trees grow like the cedars of Lebanon.
Come on, my Love! Let us move to that land,
Where the sun resurrects anew,
Where darkness gives way to light,
And life renews itself every morning.
It is our dreamland paradise or interim utopia.
Let us go into that Garden of Delight.
Look to the East, my love, beyond those crooked hills,
Where poplars grow tall in line
And a gentle breeze susurrates through the foliage of leaves
And wild weeds hem the edges of pathways,
Where bunnies and squirrels hop and jump
And run around whistling bamboo reeds,
Where the laughing cataract leaps down from the rocks
And flow along in silvery rills
Where the languorous breeze plays upon the leaves.
This place has all the beauty and bliss of utopia.
Away from the tumult, far from the bustling crowd
With the pandemonium of the world hushed to serene silence
Let us walk together to that sequestered glade,
Where we shall sit by the side of a rustling stream
And dance across the flowery meadows.
In this place of perennial greenery and sunlit groves
We shall walk hands locked and hearts singing as one,
Till the bright day gives way to a dusky night,
Inhaling night air in scented perfume.
Under the stillness of a star-spangled sky, we shall roam,
Through moon-blanched woods, enigmatic and mysterious
Listening to the sweet whisperings of our soul
And ‘drinking life to the lees’ from the chalice of love
Oh! Come on, let us not tarry….
Let’s move fast to that Utopia!
Listen up, y'all! I've got a vision to share
Of a world where corruption doesn't dare
To rear its ugly head or show its face
Where justice and fairness set the pace
Imagine a place where bribes are extinct
Where honest work is the only link
To success and progress, can you see it?
A society where truth ain't something we cheat
In this world, the powerful serve the weak
Transparency ain't just some politicians speak
It's the air we breathe, the water we drink
The foundation on which we build and think
Creativity explodes when fairness reigns
Innovation bursts from unfettered brains
No more holding back, no more fear
Of speaking truth to those who should hear
Education blooms like wildflowers in spring
Knowledge is power and everyone's king
Science advances, art transcends
In a world where corruption meets its end
Meritocracy's not just a fancy word
It's lived every day, seen and heard
From the streets to the highest office
Where leaders serve, not harvest profits
Picture courts where Lady Justice ain't blind
But sees clearly with an impartial mind
Where the scales tip only with the weight of truth
Not the size of the wallet, you feel me, youth?
In this brave new world, we've broken the chain
Of systemic oppression, of ill-gotten gain
Every voice matters, and every dream can soar
In a society that's fair to its very core
Businesses thrive on innovation, not manipulation
The government serves the people, not some corporation
The media speaks truth, unafraid and bold
A new age of enlightenment, a story untold
But this ain't no fairy tale, no pipe dream
It's a future we can build, a possible regime
It starts with you, with me, with all of us
Standing up for what's right, creating trust
So let's rise, let's make it real
This corrupt-free world, it's our ideal
Where justice flows like a mighty river
And fairness is a gift we all deliver
From the ashes of greed, watch creativity rise
A phoenix of progress, touching the skies
This is our time, our moment to shine
In a world where justice and fairness align!
Let's build this utopia, brick by brick
Where corruption's absence makes innovation tick
A creative society, fair and just
In our hands, in our hearts, in our trust!
in a colorful array
love comes to life
in its bold magnificence
from the inexhaustible grandiose
to the infinitely humble

Magical crescent moon
Shining on the path below
Lighting the way for lovers
Together as they stroll
Exploring the enchantment
Of the animals and the trees
Finding their own Utopia
Beneath natures canopy
Together they may hear
A love birds sweet melody
As the crickets and a bullfrog
Seem to join in harmony
Sparkling stars and dewdrops
Fireflies dance about merrily
As winds song within the leaves
Plays a lovers symphony
The smell of jasmine in the air
Rose and chamomile so sweet
With just a soft hint of patchouli
A lovers perfume as they meet
The mystery and excitement
Passionate kisses, perfect date
These two lovers souls connect
In this mesmerizing place
The age-old dream is a nightmare,
that has haunted us far too long,
still it lures in so many souls
with the sweetness of its song.
But beyond the simple melody
a darkness quickly appears,
those who preach of utopia
are the ones we should most fear.
It all starts out pleasant enough,
they want to build the perfect world,
with peace, love, and prosperity,
for every single boy and girl.
But on what defines perfection,
the can never truly agree,
tell them it’s abstract idea,
and they scream out ‘heresy!’
Not that this will stop the push,
they’re convinced that they’re right,
and any who would oppose them,
are an evil and a blight.
First it’s campaigns to convince
that they hold the greatest truth,
then to the schools for targeting
the dumb, impressionable youth.
They think that this will do the job,
but too many reject and dismiss,
then comes all the social pressure,
go along or you’re not ‘with it.’
And when even that doesn’t prevail,
they always turn to government,
use law to force you to agree,
or face a long imprisonment.
This becomes the tipping point,
since government is always force,
yet convinced they’ll bring perfection,
they’ll do what was once abhorred.
Some penalties put you in camps,
doomed to a miserable fate,
no longer do you just ‘disagree,’
you’re now enemy of the state.
It does not take much to see this,
such an endless, brutal trend,
Hitler’s ‘perfect’ Aryan Reich
sent ten million to their end.
And all those workers ‘paradises,’
their purges and class enemies,
Sent a hundred million folk to death,
to build their ‘ideal’ societies.
Even down on the smaller scale,
the same result you will find,
Jamestown, Heaven’s Gate, and Waco;
where people were burned alive.
How many would still be with us,
how many fewer would be dead,
if we could take utopia
and drive it clear out of our heads?
In fact the very word itself,
if you look back on history,
literally translates as ‘no place,’
in the original Greek.
As in no place can ever exist
where mankind lives perfect,
Better is the best we can do
without leaving people wrecked.
Best we keep shouting this truth out
before we all tumble and fall,
We must fear, fear utopia,
or else it will kill us all.
This world seems like dystopia
Come my love my utopia
Drive away my insomnia
Drive away my inertia
I have left old Arabia
You are my Abyssinia
You are my dream’s sweet mania
Conquer my heart’s whole area
Have seen an utopian lane, amidst the thicket, latent In the abode of the clouds, in the lap of the tranquil wilderness, far far away from the mundane mist!
A wheezing sparsely inhabited hamlet, Khonoma, a centuries- old settlement, so green, so serene!
Its' pristine unsullied views, lush wilderness, verdant bushes, aromatic wild blooms, resplendent orchids, rippling rills, are untouched and sacred!
The Angami tribes, the thorpes' dwellers lead an uncustomary simple life, crammed with ancient, timeless traditions and practices, with nature's absolute accord!
The unique panaromic cultivation practice, terrace farming, sprawling on the slopes makes the very sight elating!
Look, the remote richest biodiversity region is twirling with the endemic scented native flora and fauna, the boscage are cramming with untamed wild colourful fruits!
The revered cultural bird, the grey-billed Tragpon, is intoning from the bushes, making the milieu frolic!
Myriads of colourful birds are migrating to nestle in the sacred bushes of the mystic rills!
The pellucid drops from the misty mesas of nearby cascades are playing with the colourful pebbles!
Far from the pandemic, the cherubic hilly terrain is bustling with cerulean rills, shrouded by tropical rain forests and stepped paddy fields!
How finite are the rustic folks' wants and needs, the primitive shanties to dwell, the crystal cascades to quench, the crops of the golden fields to feed the mouths, the vibrant fiestas with nature's changing seasons to celebrate!
A paragon of men and nature in absolute harmony, is lying placidly, the transcendental picturesque tableland, Khonoma, the wheezing green hamlet, an utopia untrodden to bless the naive natives of the far flung highland!
" Sometimes in quest of no man's Utopia, we may miss the existing unleashed Utopia in proximity, yet untrodden " Quote by poet

Utopia
Where can you find it...
Up in heaven,
Down under?
Excellence, I will believe
Perfection, not so.
Two faithful souls stand listless in the great big tower
overlooking the stranded city that once stood tall
yearning for a quiet place to lay their heads
while far beyond the deserted land
a soft blue light gleams gracefully above tranquil skies,
dancing shadows rocking to midnight tunes,
and sweet melodies echoing from the gigantic moon.
She spans more than a thousand feet long soaking
up the exhausted earth, her immeasurable depths
cuts and carve through valleys and streams
with clear blue water and powdery white sand
what more could you ask for on that distant land.
They have been planning this trip for many years,
but when the time draws near their saving disappears.
An empty refrigerator with two trays of frozen ice
lean against the corner of the kitchen
in their ten bedroom mansion
and a bare pantry exposing a slice of mildew bread
filled with little mice nibbling and playing tug of war.
Not many people knew their story
they have been broke for twenty years
but lived a painful lie, cutting corners
making back door transaction,
eating lamb and turkey from profits
made from sordid deals.
Their empire that once stood tall hangs in dismay
While it watches the world going up in flame
by those who continue to play treacherous games.
Sobibor and Hiroshima horrors of the past
Should have cleared the way for a more sophisticated path
But now athoroughfare mixed with complexity
packed with insidiousness
have ducks walking around
quacking without wings or tails
They finally got an offer to go to Utopia.
with packed bags not a penny in their name,
they set off for Utopia hoping to find a new life again
but when they got their it was the same old begrimed game.
Their entire world has been shaken,
shaken by its own guilt and self-reproach,
the transgression that their ancestors have borne
have been handed down for generations to shoulder
A land that they believe was pure and holy
has turned into nightmare and horror
dreadful things dismount in dark corners
women raped strangers abused
yet religion forms the core of the throne
They have witnessed empires toppled,
Kingdoms have fallen in their sight
Rulers have shaken and wept bitterly
causing the great big god to balance the scale
but blackmail in Utopia remains a formidable game
