Premium Member Superman

Cape, strength and the mask- of one in disguise
dawn, the light shinning through- here in my world
Oh.. to see your identity- those eyes
Dodging everything at you being whirled

My Superman!! Defender of things right
Power, your ability to stand tall
here in my world, shining through, is your light
lift me where I belong- above it all

A fairy-tail, a fantasy, some bliss
truth, somersaults- while flying out of sight
My hero- you are something just like this
Dodging everything, even Kryptonite

Cape, strength and the mask- of one in disguise
Oh.. to see your identity- those eyes

Premium Member Galactic Glimpses

Galactic curls in spirals swirl, entwining twisted mystery,
where time unrolls in blackened holes, no longer bright and blistery,
but writ like runes on starry dunes enclosed in cosmic history

Galactic dust, from novas' gusts, congesting empty spaces
once fatefully flung beyond the tongue of burnt out astral traces,
may recompress and coalesce in distant times and places

Galactic dwarves, like ancient wharves with silent planets mooring
yet still in spin though long done in, hide flares no longer soaring -
magnetic webs of eons ebb, in thermal fusion roaring

Galactic tides warp space divides, call forth sublime creation
while bending clocks in rippled shocks, unfolding time dilation
that seems to crown the flowing gown of pulsars' pulsed gyration

Galactic stew, a seething brew, midst background noise and chatter
like Chaos reigns, the sole remains of missing antimatter,
with just a trace to form a space-time, curved or somewhat flatter

Galactic glue holds something new: dark energy and matter
that interacts and counteracts the ancient Big Bang splatter:
a cosmic soup of strings and loops, a universal batter

Galactic life's replete and rife 'neath lactic milky wafer,
though solar gales leave unseen trails of cosmic rays, the strafer;
but nonetheless, one must confess, it seems there's nowhere safer

Premium Member Visioning In Liquid Black

Looking into the black crystal
I prognosticate;
the future unrolls
as a sheet of silk.

Swirling, curling, unfurling;
auric waves pin wheeling
in the blackness
of the stones heart.

Energies tickle my skin
soul-melding transmission beamed
through my all-seeing eye;
I am terrorized, traumatized,
elated and mesmerized.

In visions of a future, bleak
tiny happy diamonds peep
through occlusions both
shallow and ever so deep.

Black crystal tells me,
all is not lost, but for our ills
 we must pay the cost.

Swagman

The flies like molasses clinging firmly to his back,
as aimlessly he ambled along the dry dusty track.
Like a wave of the ocean the flies would swarm to his face,
but were expertly dispatched with his gum branch mace.

A battered farm ute lurches forward to a stop,
"Give ya lift inta town mate, in the back ya can hop".
"Na me legs are work'n fine, they're not painted on
With a shake of the head, put in gear and the ute was gone.

Go into town? he thinks to himself,
don't need a fancy shop, picking food from the shelf.
Felt the grub in his pocket, some heavy salted liver,
maybe catch a fish or two from the Murrumbidgee river.

Below a sun bleached hat hangs a face lined and weathered.
A broad happy smile with teeth barely tethered.
Does anyone know him, does he even have a name?
Where is he from, has he a family to lay claim?

When he beds for the night and sets up his camp,
unrolls his swag using the fire for his lamp.
What thoughts surround him, what goes on in his head?
Will anyone care when life ebbs and he's dead?

The life of a swagman is elusive to most,
He's just a brush stroke on the landscape appearing like a ghost.
A happy go lucky, vagabond, traveling pilgrim.
But just like us one of Gods precious children.

Free People Are Brothers

Brothers are connected by genes.
… But that is not all!
They are connected by friendships.
 … Lasting a long time!
They are connected by schooling.
… Similar training!
Or perhaps, by visions alike –

Yes, many people are brothers.
They may differ in color … race.
Religious beliefs may bind them.
Some will praise, while others condemn.
Brothers may seek out common goals.
Then, build their dream as life unrolls.
Perhaps, unrelated by genes,
Brothers have many things akin.

Brothers love to make their own choice.
… Now freedom enters.
For peace to spread throughout the world,
… Tolerance must thrive.
Feelings show forth in all brothers.
… Common element,
Freedom connects the brave and free.
Yes! Free people are brothers.

Premium Member Popcorn

I’m like a kernel in the bottom of the popcorn bowl, as my Trolls abound.
But then, I feel all buttered up when my son comes running around.
My Hubby gets the munchies, and then runs off to enjoy the Trolls.
But he thinks I’m cute and fluffy, yummy… like that popcorn goes.
And the dogs look at me like dessert, when all the others have gone.
They’re looking for tidbits, falling just for them, to pounce upon.

In the morning I start as a tiny kernel; all snuggly, quietly, found.
At sunrise, I then start stirring about, and moving all around.
As the alarm goes off, the heat goes up, as I jump out of bed.
Hitting the ground running, I start bouncing till they’re all fed.
I may be popcorn, popping, in that fanciful bowl of mine.
But no lid can hold me down… once I hit the ground!
Like a bowl of popcorn disappearing, my day unrolls.
At night, I’m all used up, when it’s time to wash the bowl.

But in between is heaven, as the story of my fanciful life, unfolds.
How do I get the energy, to bounce after everyone’s important needs?
Love of family is the fuel, keeping me going, and at such speeds.

Desire

Boy,
When all is said and done
Like a mighty uncanny wind to by pass
Let it not be ever a whistle thereof
When in youth you sprout forth
And be a determined shoot
To avenge the wrath of retardation
And in the light walk right
Avenge boyish dreams
And cast away the dilemma of hangovers
The salted myths of the dozed off giants
Or the imminent fear of extinct volcanoes
Let the future afore be cast sane
Or like a sea ashore
Sands of time ashore to beckon
And be a poor boy plays pebble plays
Then avenge your avid desires
And mould them into a dream to reckon
A force that unrolls the planet a tune
Zigzagged ways pulled right
Akin to this
Passion to grab a life of your own
For in this there is no mountain!

A Tribe of Trolls

A Tribe of Trolls

A tribe of trolls escaped their cage!
Now rabid wrath and rancor rage.
Hurling hurt from hidden hellholes
(most notably, their toilet bowls),
they flush their filth across your page …

Anonymity sets the stage
for word-“warriors” who rampage
as today’s internet unrolls
a tribe of trolls …

Let’s hail the stone-age cyber sage,
“bravely” mounting his mouse to wage
invectives with the screens he scrolls.
Unmask their names! Expose the trolls!
Let public shaming disengage
a tribe of trolls.

Splintered Along the Horizon...

my eyes meet up with yours as we walk
the swans flying form a heart as they flock
we jump holding hands off the edge of the dock
the summer water is a refreshing as can be
swimming together out to the old rock
as the sunset shatters into the sea

getting closer as the day starts to disappear
for warmth and to ease your constant fears
water slowly dripping off us like little tears
I’m so damn happy to be here and so is she
nothing all around us not even the pier
as the sunset shatters into the sea

“I love you” is done without being said
the sky around us is changing red
holding each other close in our water bed
like birds leaving a cage we are now free
breaking the halo that once sat on her head
as the sunset shatters into the sea

the rock is like a mountain above the skies
watching the waves of life quickly pass us by
the scroll of childhood unrolls before my eyes
locking up my youth and throwing away the key
understand now that time really flies
as the sunset shatters into the sea

Life Is Too Short

Life is too short to be worrying about he said she said
It only starts problems and drama and the fire soon starts to spread
Yet the truth never unrolls its self like a spool of thread
And the results are friendships and relationships start to crumble and mold like a loaf of bread

People are so caught up in making and believing all the lies
It’s like they get a high for telling all the lies
What do people think they get the Noble Prize?
You have people looking at you asking why
Why do people like making people cry
Who are you trying to be in disguise?
In reality here is some advice
Liars, fakes, cheaters, abusers, and wanna bes are nobodies in real peoples eyes

So lets break away from all the hate
There is no reason to discriminate
To walk the beat of your own drum is a skillful trait
Everyone is different like a car license plate
Its okay to be always changing like a discount rate

People need to realize in there is a due date
You never know when it is, so don’t wait
Live your life to the greatest rather it be with or without fate
This may lead to a debate
Yet if everyone could come together, we could all cross home plate
Moral to life, is that it is too short
Practice and play hard like it is a sport
Pretend that you are living on a resort
And everyone you come across is like a friend of some sort
We all need to be escorts
And treat everyone with love, respect, and kindness like it’s our last resort
Now let’s end this on a good report
And stop all the hate and negativity and start giving some support

Any thoughts or comments?

Pocono Dawn

Dawn crept over the horizon,
like a muffled piece of grey felt;
cloaked in mist, blanketed in opalescent fog.
As the minutes pass,
the powder blue of morn seeped atop
jagged toothed conifer forest.

Clouds turn from periwinkle to azure,
cotton batting unrolls filling the firmament.
Slowly, softly, the sunlight
bleaches clean the dusky dawn;
bringing forth a deep emerald-green
woodland morn;
strewn with wild lavender salvia,
flush and new born as the day.;
back lit with the acrid yellow effervescence
of sunshine
adorned.

Schnauzer In Wonderland

Down a hole tumbles my dear schnauzer Sean
Chasing White Rabbit, oh no, you’re gone!
Now the kind Chesire Cat
Unrolls a welcome mat
As my friend joins a wonderous egg hunt at dawn

All mimsy are the borogroves, Sean howls out with joy
The guest of honor’s loved by every girl and boy
Eggs aglow, a heavenly hue
Every schnauzer’s dream come true!
I miss you pooch but have a good life and enjoy

Premium Member Watching Victoria Legrand Perform 'Elegy To the Void'

Listen: The Lyrical Lilt
that lilac
and lavender
lend to our language,
like leased luggage purposefully lost,
unrolls from lifted
tongue
to level the valley
and shallow
the depths of the gorge.

            *   *   *

A full closet of linens,
I oftentimes find
the beach in symphony;
the hour arching shoreline a stable bow
whose melody is fizz of the ocean.

It is there, beneath a balcony of velvet celebrity,
the sand receives the water,
bends at the lunar altar,
and acknowledges a driftwood cloud.

            *   *   *

There is a weed of sadness woven
through untilled soil
in this garden of thorns kept far from their rose,

where, still, I cannot help
but to tap my feet to the hum of this ancient rhythm,
anxious for movements left uncomposed,
my ear tightly pressed to a frail pink shell,
swelling in ghostly lullaby.

The Promise

Neon beams of spectrum light inscribed upon the cloud
As artists pastel palette paints and graciously endows
God’s colour chart in majesty on heavens canvas scrolls
In misty watered pastel hues the Promise arc unrolls

Across the hills and valleys the thunder trumpet sounds
from the charcoal hills of slate it deafeningly resounds
There Zeus’s lance divides the air with concentrated might
A visual embodiment, in unharnessed blinding light

The swirling mist of waterfalls clings close to craggy wall
And offers canvas to the paint sprayed through natures hall
The myriad tints and subtle shades, in Technicolor shows
A master class of artistry displayed in each rainbow.
