Best Unreconciled Poems

When Autumn Comes

When autumn comes to drop it's leaves.
Unreconciled, the branches greive.
To enter winter's long goodbye.
Awaiting spring, again to sigh.

Amidst the heat of summer's sun.
The planted seed will soon be done.
Only the rain of heavens love.
Can help the plant rise up above.

The seasons we all have to live.
Are waisted if we don't forgive.
A heart that's full of pain and sorrow.
Requires hope to meet tomorrow.

When someone needs a helping hand.
It's nice when they can join the band.
To know that they can sing along.
To harmonize in life's long song.

I Lost a Whole Weekend (Please Pardon My Rant)

I am your champion, I fight for your cause,
my love and devotion give some people pause.

When I saw you I knew you, just like with your dad.
I guess our deep happiness makes some people mad.

I work hard at my job, so that we can live,
and hear me now, son, when it's time to give,
I am the one who ups the amount,
I've done this more often than I can recount.

I also work so your dad will be covered,
for doctors and dentists and allergists and others,
and who do you think pushed him to go
to the skin doctor some two years ago?

From the moment I met you, you felt like my son,
but this is a battle that cannot be won.
When your dad and I married, I didn't steal him away,
he's just as devoted to you to this day.

I heard someone had told you that I was "controlling,"
(I can't even write this without my eyes rolling).
Who insisted your dad fly to LA to see you?
Who worked overtime to pay for this venue?

I encourage his freedom, I've not clipped his wings,
his happiness, above all, is the important-est thing.

I will not be silenced, nor be vilified,
and it just breaks my heart when you take HER side.

I am LOVING and GIVING and ALL THAT IS GOOD,
and I'm tired of being so misunderstood.

So, pardon my migraine, it wasn't intended,
my strength just gave out as your judgement descended.

I lost a whole weekend, I slept like the dead,
I was just too defeated to face down my dread.
I kinda' felt reality shatter, unsure what was real,
like in "Jacob's Ladder."

We're getting no younger, your father and I,
the older we get, the faster time flies.
I love you as if you were my own child,
I'll not carry this burden unreconciled.

Stillpoint

The space binding darkness to light,
birthplace of visions where souls
do not stray in exclusion but congregate
wearing the mantle of mercy and peace.

Bitter arguments unreconciled, blessings
never spoken, angry exchanges left wanting
of prompt resolution have no meaning here.

All torments are quieted, rumors and lies are
forgiven, love and respect take their hold for those
children of God who were wandering out in the cold.

Premium Member Greater Consciousness

I dripped between the cracks
Of my own convoluted mind
fearful and excited at the same time
Wandering in the small large spaces
Wondering what I might find
Searching for sharp barbed tiny bits
Those unreconciled "it's"
All the things I thought were the pits
The words that made me feel like the shits
You may try and see
the me
the he
the one who wants to be
More filled
Less empty
Fully engaged and free
More noteworthy
A symphony
Less occupied
More open and kind
Instead my thinking and blinking never quits
Why do I spend so much time doing this
While others seem so contented in their bliss
I sit in a black ink colored shadows
instead of enjoying my lover's kiss
Looking for the unknown underlined
Intertwined with the unkind
The visions of one metaphorically blind
caught behind
The veil of my mind
The answers
The Consciousness I was seeking
Words I am unable to keep speaking
Yet now I've begun being
Now I'm truly seeing
It's within God that I'm breathing
No longer seething
My heart is calmed
He slows down it's beating
Light within my tiny big spaces
No more sadness
He removes all traces
I now see forever
My mind no longer races
I travel in peace to inner places....

Body Or Soul

Body or Soul

Too often, when looking back, when memories grip
the mind and remind the heart of their sting
while breathing life into the days that sing
of when heart tempted heart and lip brushed lip.
That once there was no fitting time for tears
when the taste of despair began to cling
to passion's pouring from the heart's wellspring,
while love's cold debt lingered in arrears.

Unreconciled yearnings of the past
exhume the soul of the body whose charms
reside in the glade where sylvan bells toll.
I am not sad, because I see at last
the folly of grasping at love with both arms,
scarce knowing which is body and which soul.

When holistic
interdependent
sacred
joyfully compassionate Earth integrity
remains EarthTribe's primal vision,
polycultural meaning,
panentheistic networking purpose,
reconciling win/win peak experiences,

Then past win/lose unreconciled dark histories
remain our potential win/win
co-messianic challenge

To not settle too quickly
comfortably
into agreeing to disagree,
continuing autonomous
individual ego-supremacist perspectives
long familiar with "just us tribal folks"

seek resilient redemption
from those other

To openly

to actively reweave reconciling therapies,
to reconnect

The Story of the Wave

June 29 1981

A wave who crept upon the shore
clutched suddenly at the sand
she seemed to cry before
she hissingly fled the land

Her sister came with increasing roar
slashing toward the quiet beach
the sand at whom she slashed and tore
was within her grasp yet out of reach

With the wave, Sand came away
with her sister he returned
whether next wave he'd leave or stay
he was decidedly unconcerned

Wave came with tender kiss
her sister with brooding hate
they dreamt of their past and this
left them unreconciled to their fate

Wave once was a raging cloud
her sister a brooks babbled snore
Wave thought the ocean a pleasant shroud
her sister blamed the shore

Premium Member Change the World - Change It Right

Why oh why have we become so woke
To the point of companies going near broke,
All for the sake of garnering support
From vocal fringes, then quietly rushing to abort.

Is the effort worth the prize
Pandering to an audience that must surely realize
Division is not the path to integration
Empowering voices that just believe in denigration.

Acceptance is rarely mandated or imposed,
It's a result of customs willingly transposed
To reflect a kinder more inclusive world
And in the process eliminating the absurd.

Activism can often be the kernel for steep
Change,
But in the wrong hands is alienating and deranged,
With effects that counter all that would be good
Demeaning the very essence for which they stood.

We the silent throngs just watch and wonder,
What's brought on this wave of mindless thunder,
Strife and upheaval causing nothing but confusion,
Resulting in a world of societal delusion.

Democracy is not another word for anarchy,
Where a vocal few usurp reality for fantasy,
But one of tolerance and communal understanding
To mold a world where actions are outstanding.

Where parent is not set against their child,
Or leaving differing opinions unreconciled,
Where sexuality does not become a sword,
Or Race the blade to cut across the board.

When will politicians and the media say enough,
Accepting that their narrative is huff and gruff,
Full of potholes and dead ends
Turning people into enemies not friends?

Why not allow good sense and wisdom take the stage,
Willing denigrators to turn another page,
Supporting causes that are simply just
Thereby forging a society sure to last.

Mask

You see me laugh. You see me smile.
My heart and soul, unreconciled.
Happiness for me is rare.
It's just another mask I wear.

You see me talking in a crowd.
The joyful soul who laughs out loud.
Yet my heart is a lonesome lair.
The extrovert, a mask I wear.

A private soul, I must pretend.
The courtesies that I extend,
an Oscar winning grand affair,
and just another mask I wear.

The Heat

The heat sultry like a weight of skin
Saps my sinews and melt my bones
I am drained by the old legacy of sin
The trees too droop on sizzled stones

And from the black face of the street
A steamy billow rises like a net for fish
Or some bolas at my crumbling feet
Makes me want to run by only the wish

This is the tropic daytime when the sun
Its gasses pour and route men to sleep
This iss the tropics where life still goes on
While the heat my strength like harvest reap

And do you say there it hotter burns than
This? And this the distant heat of that
The immovable furnace of unreconciled man
Frivolous around the fire like a glad gnat

Premium Member A Woman Brings

The duality of love, a woman brings, is the only possible thing,
that can save a man from himself. An untagged stray, harboring pain buried deep and unreconciled, unable to be healed and forgiven, by himself or others.
Inevitably causes the love the woman has brought, to move away, reluctant to be accessed, unless things could feel right again one day.
The man, his eyes now open, considering what's best for her, clearly no longer reachable, must recognize his self inflicted wounds, and start to heal them today.
And his gift for her? Fading silently away.
