Stillpoint

The space binding darkness to light,
birthplace of visions where souls
do not stray in exclusion, but congregate
wearing the mantle of mercy and peace.

Bitter arguments unreconciled, blessings
never spoken, angry exchanges left wanting
of quick resolution have no meaning here.

All torments are quieted,
rumors and lies are forgiven,
love and respect take their hold for those
children of God who were wandering out in the cold.

Nice example of free verse that seems to flow as if it rhymed. Tells a story that speaks to me as my torments are riled every time I hear the news. It would be so nice if I could just stay away from it.

Well, Keith, you've placed heaven into words. My gosh, your first stanza bid me "more." The Franciscan friar who officiated at Jeannie's funeral said three times in a row: "to the true believer" Those words have never left me as I envied his unyielding belief in your vision. love, Kathy

Wow keith.." quite a big statement in its way..) I must mysellf plead Jesus; I find life here confusing enough..As far as it goes the verse that says now we see imperfectly as through a fog.. Or a poor reflection.. Then we will know fully even as we are fully known.. Makes the most sense to me.." I enjoyed reading you today; yours Joe..
