As Life Unfolds - Smallest Ant Contest

You may not be as tall as others
You may not have the prettiest face
You may not have the many riches
You may not have gods given grace

By your actions you're the tall one
A smile that lights the dullest day
A kind heart that's always helpful
Share the last of your hard earned pay

By your thoughtfulness you're the fair one
Any small deed you are asked to do
Even the smallest ant, cast the tallest shadows
You live to help others your life through

So riches and stature are not important
Fair of face will wrinkle when old
The way you live your life however scant
Shows your many riches as life unfolds

Premium Member Beauty Unfolds

Mesmerized, she stood still...observing
Unsure of what to expect next
She is scared but not afraid
Shall I pet him, she asks herself
Will he fly away if I move
Warmth is the only thing the butterfly feels
Shall I fly away, he asks himself
Will she run away if I fly
As they both stare - frozen
Danger never exists
They share a wonderful moment
Beauty unfolds

This is my granddaughter Ava Rose.

Will I descry my consort before I settle?
Always ecstatic but never got a medal
Abide by the authentic route, even if slowly
I purport to originate, although closely

No difference in inducing if I am late
As long as I reach my destination, sedate
I won't strain to delight everyone I meet
There's always someone who goes deceit.

Instead, I contrive on my own fate
Leaving no whiff of evidence, a cold case
I strive to stay relevant, to clutch weight
Learning from past experiences as I retrace.

No one has sustained anything from me
Nobody ever got out with it, do you foresee
Justice won when my door was kicked in
Justice revealed the culprits were jailed within.

If you can't stand the heat, avoid the kitchen
Since the kitchen stove is waiting.
My hand folds in awe with every sigh, God-given,
I grasp and cherish life's depth relating.

As Autumn Unfolds

Summer wearily sighed then softly closed her door.
For three months she lingered, and now she'd slumber
while Fall lays a carpet of leaves upon the forest floor.
Her winds gather them together, in profuse number,
bronze, russet and crimson, all fringed in burnt umber.

In a cloudless sky, the cry of migrating birds is heard,
flying to a warmer climate as Autumn begins to unfold.
When Nature births a new season, changes are spurred.
A saffron sun warms the Earth with fingers of gold,
and a harvest moon ascends; glorious sights to behold.

Autumn days are emblazoned with dazzling coloration,
painting vibrant scenes like no other season can bestow.
I welcome her annual arrival with joyous acclamation,
knowing the nights will be filled with starlight aglow
before Winter laces the landscape with flakes of snow.

As the Dream Unfolds

Nightfall
     One seeks refuge
in sleep
  Dreams arrive
A fantasy world which
is based on real life events
What passions, what vivid images fill the
   sleeper's mind!
The heart has it's own solutions
which it seeks to answer
in dreams
   Hours before daybreak
   you are in another world
   Can our visions help us?
Hopefully, like Joseph of old did
our dreams will be correctly interpeted
A new dawn is on it's way!

Premium Member The Story Unfolds

A pen slowly blots words upon the paper
As the writers hand glides across
Spreading ink that escapes its nib,
Words forming various shapes
Imagination creating
As a story develops
Ink filling paper from line to line
Taking a journey
Waiting for discovery
As it travels down the page
Until the writer finishes,
A story ready for you and me.
From scratchy quills to ink filled pens
There has always been a way
For the tale to be told,
From century to century across the lands
Ink has surged
From parchment to paper
To spread the word to all willing to hear
Of a story told.

Family Love Unfolds

The young and the old are part of man's fold.
Love between them, better than gold…tenfold.
The past before told, as the future shall behold.
Depends upon love shown, not an empty billfold.

Chores hide and seek, anger vanquished…controlled.
Life molds by example as truths are told.
Family meetings upon hope's threshold,
Foster goodness without the need to scold.

Happy days upon sacrifice enrolled.
Profits many blessings; smooths lives potholed.
Freedom of choice has a responsibility twofold.
Give from the heart; let understanding enfold.

Time writes; family history lives scrolled.
Children grow and soon leave the household.
Memories in heart, that each child shall hold,
Establish free choices in love's leasehold.

Seniors who listen with wisdom bankrolled,
Experiences share…but only when polled.
Respect grows for elders as life is strolled.
Admiration earned; limiting stronghold.

The young, like the old, are part of man’s fold.
Time together grows respect’s freehold.
Helping children make choices…scorn untold.
The smiles that you give will come back ten-fold.

Premium Member Spring Unfolds

In the dusting of the springtime
Lies the reviving whiff of thyme,
The cleansing breath of revival,
The hint of rebirth's arrival.

The cold wreak of dank days are gone,
Remnant dew droplets fall at dawn,
Sprinkling the blossom blooms bouquet,
Sweet scented thoughts of yesterday.

From barren branches, spring new buds,
Brought into being, new life floods,
Filling the scene with vividness
Of color, scents, and hopefulness.

Springtime weaves its new cloak with gold,
Threading in secrets yet untold.

Premium Member Under the vast vault of the night, the story unfolds

Under the vast vault of the night, the story unfolds,
A silver river winding through deep dreams,
The moon, a silent dancer, spins on the canvas of the sky,
The breeze whispers prayers that have traveled through time.
The waves of life carry us like leaves on water,
We, travelers without a compass, gaze at the infinite sky,
We invoke a light to free us from the dense shadows,
A heavy mantle of melancholy that envelops our souls.
Invisible queen, we kneel under your serene gaze,
Embrace us with your love that transcends time,
Release us from the burden of anxieties that press upon us,
Lift us to realms of eternal peace and tranquility.
Our souls, pale stars in the endless night,
Find solace in the brilliance of the queen of stars,
Her face emerges from the mists like a sweet promise,
Of a clear morning that dispels the shadows of doubt.
Caught in the nets of consciousness, we seek fragile balance,
The unceasing prayer binds us to heaven and earth,
The bridge of light redeems us from the deep darkness,
And gives us wings to fly toward untouched desires and dreams.
Your gentle presence, an eternity of hope and light,
Guides our wandering steps to unknown lands,
Mary, mother of infinity, you watch over us as we rediscover ourselves,
Under the vast sky of the night, in your light we merge.

The Worlds Beauty Unfolds

I awake to commence this brand new day.
Contentment does stir like the calm in a bay
I have much on my mind with little to say
Soon I must go and be on my way.

The sun hits the horizon the red is so bold.
The air is crisp and beginning to grow cold.
I open my eyes to the beauty that unfolds,
Every player seems to have their own role.

The song birds join together in harmony,
They perform their concert just for me.
One bird flies over its colors I see.
Its beauty is a mystery as it lands in a tree.

The tree is so colorful the leaves changed overnight.
They provide a rainbow of color much to my delight.
Soon they shall fall and blow from sight.
For now everything is perfect, all is right.

All I see seems to have its own part
Contentment still grows inside my heart
Everything around me seems to join together,
Defying gravity like a floating feather.

I don’t know of the day, it doesn’t really matter.
As I take in the sights my thought start to scatter.
It seems that the puzzle is complete today.
As I see my world in a different way.

A Journey Unfolds

Amidst nature's embrace, we ventured hand in hand,
Embarking on a path, our souls at once expand.
The whispers of the wind, a gentle lullaby,
As we meandered, enraptured under the open sky.

Silent footfalls merged with the rustling leaves,
A symphony of serenity, the rhythm never deceives.
In each shared step, a connection so profound,
Our beings entwined, our hearts tightly bound.

The sun, a golden halo, caressed our weary faces,
Bathing us in warmth, filling empty spaces.
With every breath, the fragrance of earth's perfume,
Nature's gentle touch, dispelling all gloom.

Hand in hand, we wove through meadows fair,
Bathed in hues of green, a canvas beyond compare.
Each blade of grass whispered secrets untold,
And the song of the river, a story of love, behold.

Birds soared above, their wings an ode to flight,
As we stood in awe, humbled by their graceful might.
Together, we embraced the symphony of birdsong,
Enraptured by nature's chorus, hearts beating strong.

In that quiet communion, words became obsolete,
Our souls conversed in a language pure and sweet.
The touch of your hand, a reassurance so sincere,
Each tender hold, my worries would disappear.

Time stood still as we immersed in nature's embrace,
Moments of serenity etched upon our souls with grace.
For in that sacred journey, love's tapestry unfurled,
A testament to the beauty found in this earthly world.

Though memories fade and seasons come to pass,
That nature walk endures, an eternal looking glass.
In the depths of our hearts, the moment will reside,
A cherished remembrance, forever by our side.

God's Beauty Unfolds

With God's gracious Love to hold
With the northern lights
Everlasting bright
From the Mountains to the shores
God’s Love is Forever More

God Divine Love is
Miraculous... Supreme
tis for Everyone
Given by God’s Mercy and Grace
Through God’s Son
We have an Eternal place
 the sacrifice of His Son
Jesus Christ Our Redeemer
For us all to be Eternally liven

Come to Jesus
