On Blue Ocean

On Blue Ocean

Blue ocean rises
and falls with cool
serenity,
creating crests
of roving waves,
seeking yellow,
sun-bleached shores.
Aah! Behold
its engorged bosoms,
heaving and trembling,
passionately
spurting out
bubbly, champagne-like,
sparkling spumes,
that elatedly
lick and tickle
flashy red tails of
flirtatious mermaids.
On summer nights,
inhale deeply
its fresh salty scent,
which clings to the air,
like an old lover.
Then savoring the
sweet, rhythmic
undulation of
rippling, indigo
ocean, I drowse in
Poseidon’s arms and,
drift off … on a dream.

The Journey

Though unconscious we are born
In pains we live, we fade, we die
But life like river flows on
Quickly and slowly we pass bye

The wave, the tide
They blow and kick us about
We wrestle, we fight
We cry, we laugh out

Life is for a season
Like flowers in sunrise
The tour for a reason
In life we strive to rise

On the path we stumble
Depressed and forlorn
The undulation unbearable
Bliss! Bliss!! We beckon

Life is really a journey
Some exit, some excel
Like pilgrims we journeyed
Though its path no one can tell

Like wayfarers we progressed
Dark cloud on our path abound
The rain, the sun our goal repressed
Excruciating pains, still we onward bound

The Butterfly Princess

"Just living is not enough, said the butterfly fairy...one must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower" Hans Christian Anderson

She’s the Butterfly Princess of the magical valley of fairy Kings
I saw her dancing with her sisters in the enchanted forest glen
Her body of sweet nectar being sun kissed again and again
As she fluttered about on tiptoe with her gold gossamer wings
The woodland nymphs played a melody on lyrical harp strings

Her dress of ethereal light all a flutter with a hundred or more
Swooning butterflies who adorn her effervescent flowing caress
Golden curling tendrils resplendent in a sweet flower headdress
The iridescent undulation of swaying hips is their complete adore
Her gentle grace the epitome of butterflies wondrous folklore

They gathered all around her to lift her gown as she flew away
To her wedding that day, a Butterfly Prince was always her ecstasy
And their love was often said to be the kingdoms new destiny
Around his body he wore a gently woven honeysuckle flower lei
Amid his wings he had woven her gift of a lavender sachet

As the trumpets did herald the Princess on soft petals she came
All bowed to the glorious sight of their love soon to be bound
The next time you see butterflies in the garden, turnaround
You may see the fairy Prince and Princess in the sun all aflame
Swirling and twirling about in a butterfly dancing game

Sonnet For Winds of Change

SONNET FOR WINDS OF CHANGE

Cross cirrus sky swift brush strokes paint mares' tails
Tree tops are in restless susurration,
While cumbrous clouds traverse in vapour trails
Mead grass is fanned in wild undulation

Lake face whipped to agitated motion
Plumes roughed, wildfowl voyage with discretion
Gulls in-land tell of wild storms on ocean
All braced to face nature's bare aggression

When young I chose such rugged medium
Deplored the concept then of perfect peace
Such state suggested endless tedium
Hazard preferred to slow drawn out release

While I now sometimes seek respite from strife
I yet love winds that change, give breath to life

Premium Member Fall At Wenatchee River

Autumn clouds drift over the Wenatchee River
Changing from blue to a metallic silver
I walk it's shores as the greying breaks
As it captures ochres and greens in reflection shapes

Translucent ripples in undulation dance
Insects skim the waves with their life they chance
Trout break the surface to share my view
If I am the first man to be here, what a debut

Ancient rock from a long ago past
Scatters it's slopes in sporadic cast
Stones and boulders of all shapes in sizes
Carpet this podium like neolithic prizes

I go back to my canoe, the way out I came in
A Scotsman leaves humbled in his skeletal skin
To be here for this moment brings a tear to my eye
As I turn my head and look back, reminds me why

SENSATIONAL LOVEMAKING

Rush of adrenalin,
lifting his shirted-scent
to my nose -
soaked in apropos,
making love
to my endorphins.

The stir and footfall
from downstairs - his lair,
even when he’s not there,
for I can hear his heart beat
miles and miles and miles away.

Tongues swathed in mint,
trestlework of undulation,
swoosh of utter breezes.

The cool tingling sensation,
fingertips that ripple round,
the sucking sound, the
honey’d stick of becoming
one flesh, seersuckers
gently upon my nape,
always intact, traveling
miles and miles
downtown, rippling
rapture,
torturous-pleasure.

The Pursuit of Excellence

Part of the denominator,
extraordinary matters level off
and find the lowest trough.
The so-called experts
joust with the pretenders,
and they are wrestling still.

In days of yore the Seer
would proclaim the truth,
accepted by the old, the youth,
whereas for now we do His will.
Are we shackled, are we freer,
hungrily our mouths to fill?

Time will not stand for surety,
the prophet's exhortations gone to dust,
while totems crumble, metals turn to rust,
we try to compromise, a bitter pill
for those who crave acerbity
and swear our bliss to spill.

Were we to strike good earth,
avoid all roiling undulation,
seek and hold a firm foundation,
and ascend the highest hill,
then would excellence be realized for what it's worth,
and our hopes and dreams we would fulfill.

The Colour of Sin

THE COLOUR OF SIN
On a dusky holiday evening,
When the bustle and hustle of city life is left behind,
Salty water flows in-between his fingers
Dangling from a yatch rocking the waves,
Somewhere in the Mediterranean.
The ripples answer the giggle of a little pearl
Jumping on the laps of a twitchy daddy
Lost in thoughts and reflections.
Trying to draw a line,
Between the lies that save men
From the jeopardies of the unspoken truth,
And the truths that destroy the legacy of great men.
Counting how often he stood on that line
And wondering why once
He did cross, admitting to a truth
That caused him his family.
A sea bird flusters the mirage of her beauty;
Twisting her lips behind the fast disappearing sun,
Into a smile that would bear semblance
To the crescent of a would-be moon.
Placing her cute dimples upon her forehead,
And leaving her face dancing in undulation.
The white of her eyes matches the hue of the heavens
Into which he stares deep and sees goodness,
In a white unblemished around the black of her iris
Sharp in contrast to the ones that stared back
In the morning mirror on his wall.
Excitedly she points at the wandering sky
Falling off at the oval edge of the world.
Pulling his beard and asking
Why he doesn’t live with mummy.
There he stands again,
Legs astride of that line,
The truth of his infidelity urges him
But he lies and his eyes get brushed a new shade.
That which would not be washed away
By a river of tears from years of remorse.
The indelible colour of sin
Paints the eyes of the sinner
With shades of red
That thickens with every new iniquity.

The Lovers Dance

Across the table they stared and yet not a word was heard
They saw into the soul of each, some would say 'that’s absurd'
The fingers of the lovers sparked, as they walked in unison
Through the door the lovers dance, as they danced they danced as one

The dance floor called the sheets so white; they slipped beneath them with joy
The lovers dance this love so deep between this girl and new found boy.
Each step they danced, each move they made the dance just carried on
Throughout the hours the thief stole time but no fear the magic would never be gone.

Between the sheets the lovers did dance and each step they both did feel
This rhythm in the lovers dance each undulation it now did heal
The lovers tango as yet unfulfilled, it kept them dancing hard and long
To complete the dance they both desired, this lover’s dance will never be wrong

The dance of the lovers, twisting and turning, as one their bodies entwine
The dance the lovers did complete, unabashed, unashamed and just divine.

Je Te Veux - - I Want You

Hungered for a taste
  of your essenced elixir,
drunken inhalations
   of your French poetry
a splendiferous whirl
 of time & space 'tween
darkly scented moons
    and sun's adoration,
blithe starry nights
amidst meditative new
dawn's effervesce,
 spirited of the heart,
gleaned in the soul,
yearnings of another
  chapter's paradise
universal experiences
etched of hourglass sand,
 written upon endlessly
    chimerical verses
wildflower gardens drenched
    of dandelion's plum wine
swooning under a
hypnotic scripted spell,
intoxicating power
of unchained symphonies
dancing amongst skies'
released euphoria
 resonating in a song's
   reprised melodies,
breathlessness of delirium's
  celestial pauses
  in vaporous breezes'
  unfurling undulation,
captivated by rhythmic
  destiny reverberating in
     loins' pleasurable calling
  quenched of sacred
     offering's quell
transcending earthly
   persuasions' rhyme,
let me lick the nectar from
   your poesy's insatiable lips,
sweet mercy's healing
   captured in rapturous
   surrender's reawakening ~

Fairy Queen

When first you beamed upon my sight,
A cold breeze felt in desert night,
And where could I see a fairy queen,
In a earthly heaven , did I mean

At last this day your thoughts forth came,
That made it clear to call your name,
And the name I guessed is fairy queen,
So the girl you are, never seen,

To touch and feel the morning dew,
Though the words are less, a very few,
And beauty is not what we see but feel,
Albeit we crave always the things conceal,

Sentiments stirred up seeing your saccharine smile,
That made my glint much worthwhile,
A deep undulation felt in asleep heart,
Made it understand , wait for a while,
And saved your glimpse in master file,

We live once but die thrice,
If, we miss a chance to meet someone so nice.
To look upon at irresistible beauty glance,
We miss each moment, every chance,
And to adore a lass we shy,
This cause us to weep and cry,
We burn, we boil, we burst, we sigh,
But we don’t make effort and try.

What movement, what visual rhyme and grace ...

I have watched the old willow on my grand-father's farm
Sway in a summer breeze, sweeping the grasses with a soft movement
As sublime as the bow of a master cellist ...

I have rested in a hammock in the afternoon breath of the Caribbean,
Scents carried from the African plains to mix with sugar cane and brine,
Rocking me gently off to slumber in a flawless to-and-fro ...

I have been mesmerized by the perfect sweep of the pendulum
On my parents' grandfather's clock, the rhythmic back-and-forth of a child
On a swing, the tick-tock of a music metronome ...

The sweet up-and-down of a rolling ocean tide, the swooping flight of a
Pileated Woodpecker, the slow-falling drift of a winter snowflake, and the
Proud waving of my country's distinctive flag in the wind ...

But never in my many years on this Earth, have I beheld anything that
Compares with the flawless, hypnotizing, provocative, heat-generating,
Rhythmic dynamism and undulation ... of your voluptuous hips.
