Best Undoubted Poems

My History

When you look at me what do you see
Can you see the land that I descend from, where we were once Kings and Queens.
Can you see my forefather’s journey, across, tear tarnished seas
Can you count the lives that were lost, as they sailed to tyranny?

When you look at me what do you see
Do you see my families torn apart, Bought and sold into slavery.
Can you see the blood stained legacy? Do you feel the travesty
Can you hear my grandmothers cries, as her children was separated
Can you see her raped, beaten, and chained, can you imagine the degradation?

When you look at me what do you see
Do you see, my grandfathers whipped and, bond, swinging from trees?
Can you see a race in bondage? Can you feel the cruelty ?
Can you envision the scars, welts, and wounds; the pure agony.
Do you feel the oppression of a people? The undoubted tragedy

When you look at me, what do you see
Can you see the ones that came before, that struggled to be free
Can you see the fight for freedom, respect and equality
Do you understand the sacrifices, their strength and resiliency

When you look at me, what I want you to see
Is the manifestation of my ancestors’ dreams
See the pride of a heritage which lives within me.

Premium Member Spreading Your Words Way On High

The mind has a fullness of thoughts
that brings some words to one's mind
this needs engagement of these two
so merging a marriage of a loving kind

One's mind is an awesome thing
there come our thoughts to bank upon
using these notions to fill your ink
stroking your nib before it's dawn

Using one's inner strength for good
projecting the mind for expression
learn well to practise words to use
holding firm any engrained tension

Use well the wisdom one has
to draw lines positively to rhyme
as well as other poetic types
whatever it takes tp poetically climb

Spreading your words way on high
it's within you to forge out your way
so that others spot your undoubted gift
provide support by your pen today!

Closure

You and me we've met before
Without thinking we opened Love's door
Time stood still light illuminated dark
Heaven bequeathed an undeniable spark

A fiery reunion of the ages
Passion fueled the turning of the pages
Instant comfort still a mystery
Karmic mirrors about to make history

Bubbles surface in the cauldron of shame
Undoubted truth glows in the flame
Standing naked for me to see
Remarkably, you look just like me

Vulnerable to our scars, wounds and flaws
We are blinded by the unrealistic nature of laws
A long journey down the path of pain
When will our soul's peace ever be regained

Broken hearts over secrets and lies
You will never see through these eyes
Failed divine intervention for the selfish ego
Time is up Time to let go

Certain of unfinished karmic debt
Remains remorse for the goals set
Goodbye with honor and gratitude
Happiness and joy shall not allude

Kwanza River

(Homage to the Kwanza River
" Water mother " of Angola)

Largest and only Angolan
Art thou, O majestic Kwanza!

In the central highlands
We see thee rise in Mumbué
And 960 kilometers of undoubted majesty
To the north and west
Since the municipality of Chitembo, in Bié
Stretch out on the big curve design
Before the hug, so sweet, so strong
You give to the salt of the Atlantic

Largest and only Angolan
Art thou, O majestic kwanza!

With an enviable basin
For two hundred and fifty
Kilometers, you are navigable
From the mouth to the Dondo
Where the dams of Cambambe and Capanda
Render yourself patriotic reverence
By the megawatts of power

Largest and only Angolan
Art thou, O majestic Kwanza!

As well as to the national currency unit
In the two provinces, thy name this also:
At its northern margin, Kwanza Norte
And Kwanza Sul, on the opposite bank, equally
They pay more than deserved tribute

Mother

Mother
Oh Mother, why have you left me on the shores of lonesomeness?
Without you, I amount to nothing.
I miss you, and I miss your bosom’s tenderness.
You protected, you fed, and you were my closest peer.
When I became ill, you healed.
When I crumbled in hopelessness, you stood behind as firm backbone,
For strong you are and steady; I lingered within your fortress, behind your shield.
Forever protective; as a watchful knight that has been sworn.
Seldom, I am strong, without your wholesome feminism.
Oh Mother, I dearly miss your divine presence.
Love you; I do, with undoubted truism.
My heart, you comfort; forever, I feel your essence.
You complete me in every way.
Regardless of age, in your warmth I stay.

Premium Member You Crucified the Son of God

Over two thousand years ago it was
when the son of God physically died
there history tells this undoubted truth
Jesus Christ sacrifice salvation applied

The people there cried out to see
that this Jesus be put to His death
but was it only them that did this?
no, ALL who lived took His last breath

WE were all there that dayat Calvary
yes YOU crucified the son of God
rejecting His love, grace and mercy
think we're innocent when we're fraud

But such is the depth of God's love
it reaches down to even such as WE
even there Jesus cries forgive them
nailed He was upon cruel's Calvary's tree

This gospel still applies even today
even though YOU put saviour on the tree
He offers His love from sins bondage
receive Him now salvation full and free

Who Is Competent

WHO IS COMPENTENT

Next week is the interview, am broadcasting my want
This is not an interview for a work start up
Or an interview on poetry soup
Who is competent?

What are your qualifications to fill a hole in heart?
Everyone is invited
If you have the qualifications expected.
I am as handsome as the blue sky you knew that

Whoever wants to take part?
She must have education
For easy communication
In the society, it’s most important

Whoever wants to take part, this are
My guidelines, she should
Be elegant, but beauty is not necessarily needed
It’s meant to be drawn, whoever want to take part must have

A heart of diamond
A heart that can shred a mountain
No matter what a situation
She will always suppress it by giving hand

A wonderful heart that can stand
As my sky, so that when something is bothering me
She will always know and care for me
Sometimes when man does behave irrational, a sedated

Heart that as cool as moon
And calm as the twilight, an impenetrable heart
That not even the smallest ant can penetrate
A heart that knows the different between love of the sun and love of the moon

Whoever wants to take part in this interview
To fill my hole, hole of love, hole in my heart
She must be a religious person and often read the book of the prophet
A deep insight, a deep view

I know you women are precious
Yes, you are treasure, when love
Is beyond love, it’s total to true love
I need that kind of heart, heart that is more than precious

A truthful heart
An undoubted heart

Oh! Less I forget… next week is the interview
You that are competent, I will be expecting you

How To Change Someone's Life

Nobody should take pride
in what they have gained and achieved;
or what they have accumulated over time,
if that individual is not able and willing
to share the secret of success,
and learn how to change someone's life
whose heart lacks
passion and endurance...

In peregrination, you learned
to be a better bearer
confronting uneasy choices...
changing bad habits to beatitudes
and giving up some pleasures;
some days your burden
was much too heavy
to feel any blissful joy...
In undoubted ways, you raised
from the ground up
and be triumphant,
and dared how to change
someone's life in a matter of minutes;
there's no recognition or
vivid rememberance
whenever a person doesn't care!

It's hard-hearted to have gained knowlege,
and not have shared  your courage and fortitude;
some lost soul may need your advice:
how to turn around and find helpfulness,
and forgetting those ways of nefariousness...
it's the nearest ascape from lies!

Compassion implies a giver...
how to change someone's life;
a fighter who's embattled with self-anger,
embittered...ready to abandon hope
without giving a definite form
to a future menancily unkind!

For the Love of You

If only I could make you see
that you mean so much more to me,
a priceless gift, wrapped in a smile,
the dream that makes my day worthwhile,
undoubted proof there is a God,
the joy that not all hope is gone.
To me you are that piece of mind,
that gives the world such sweet reply
that although love is sometimes lost,
its remnants left will never die-

How more could I express my love
for words are but the breath in me
what more can I, a man still do
except to give what's left of me . . .
for lips can flatter all too well
and sing the praise of many things
but you are in a different class
to you . . . . . I give my everything!

If ever I do fail to prove
my strong and constant love for you
then never have I lived a day
or ever took a breath anew.

The Greatness of Your Character

As I think on the things that I so admire about you,

I admire:

Your undoubted love for God,
Your ability to learn,
How quickly you can change a negative attribute in yourself, into a positive,
The right choices you make consistently, and swiftly without a fleeting thought of the
wrong choices as options,
How you are so tenderly moved by the suffering of another,
How your sympathy changes into empathy and you become the fulfiller,
The great teacher and the coach that you have been to myself and to others,
The humility that quietly adorns you when attacked unjustly, or when you have been
misunderstood,
How you show the way by example to our Children and Grandchildren with patience, kindness
and love,
And most of all your unwavering love for me,
And so much more.

Inherent Abilities

He awakened each morning-
  To the winnowing train whistle,
And the glowing appearance of a day-
     Undeniably fitting of summer;
       The heavens yet lingered pink,
Unlocked screen doors ~ sturdy in nature,
The aroma of freshly baked bread pervading-
             Throughout the old coal-mining town,
               Carefully prepared peanut butter
                 Sandwiches by the dozen;
                   Eighteen clumsy, bright-eyed boys-
Huddled at the dusty patch field ~ Isabella ~
Undoubted innocence ~ children of joy ~
                          Without decoration ~
Only freckled faces, Wrangler blue jeans-
And sneakers, crew cuts and striped t-shirts ~
                                Without numbers;
                                  Blasphemous parents were obscure,
                                     No policemen to summon ~
Playing ball until the soft fingertips-
Of the radiant sun caressed the blue moon,
Dashing home before the curfew puffed,
                                             Only to begin...again,
                                                Four home runs today,
                                                  The Natural ~
                                                     No fortune ~ no fame,
Simply perfect passion for the game.

The Secrets of Kanha

A safari, in an open jeep with an open mind,
To unravel the secrets of the Kanha forest reserve,
Midst the tall sal trees, our eyes scoured to find,
The elusive majestic striped cat, we've strived to conserve.

Through the bauhinia canopies with copious white flowers,
Behind black rocks where the Bagheera once slouched,
We rumbled to the plain grasslands midst light showers,
To the tall golden grasses where the predator crouched,
Before lunging forth on the camouflaged grazer that cowers,
That's his first kill for the day, his hunger doused?

The clear pond reflected the skies blue burst,
The pond named Shravan Taal, the great watering hole,
Where Pumba and deers of all sizes quenched their thirst,
And a woodpecker's relentless pecking, felled a branch whole,
A peacock danced with full plumage in a spectacular outburst,
An igret looked for a fish in the pond, went on a troll!

Never was there a dull moment in Kanha for me,
Every silence, tweet or hoot carried a message,
A langur's alarm call, then a deer's bark, alerted us to see,
As we returned through the same passage,
At the waterhole, there was indeed the majestic Tiger resting,
Nonchalantly, chilled out in cool environs, without stirring,
Indifferent to the probing cameras that were flashing,
In Kanha, he's the undoubted King!

Lush green, ochre to straw, the ageing colours of maturity,
Love or enmity, all's out in the open, without any pretence,
Tough is the life of the jungle, the fittest'll survive its severity,
The golden sunset against the Lendia at Kanha, a labyrinth so intense!

Filtered Thoughts

The rational mind
  this contained receptacle of thought
allowed, restrictive, forbidden or prohibitive release,
still functions in both light and dark;
  silent but unrestrained progressive thinking,
  curbed by the mouth, lips and any vulgar release;
random, foolish, condemning images
prevail despite law, threat, incarcerated restrictions,
  contrived interpretations or intimidated  references;
this repository lives, perceiving life and its surroudings
fully functional, interpreting existence and reality,
  its casualties, consequential actions, disparities;
action or inaction moves or hesitates as it exists
pure environment, acknowledgement of right and wrong
  to be contained by filtered thoughts immoral and moral;
decisional knowledgeable preferences
in loathing of prior occurrences, retrospective recognition
of needed change, learned responses, resolute acceptance
of undesignated need, requisite essentials
  for democracy, freedom, existence
  with unequivocal, unquestioned, undoubted
equality for all
  expunged and released, set free
by unfiltered consciousness of filtered thought.
