Winter Proposal

With my soul at peace and my thoughts at rest,
standing in this winter wilderness,
I whisper words of heartfelt bliss.

Come with me and walk this path.
Together we tread against the freeze,
and find the warmth of tender grasp.

My devoted being shall forever be,
a place of strength against chilled winds,
a brilliant light only you have seen.

Our lives have met in this quiet space.
Let sky meet land and rivers merge.
Forever, harmony I long to taste.

We have summoned light from darkest days.
Heat returns to melt still ice.
Each day length now brings stronger rays.

The deepest snows cannot hide the facts.
Beneath these layers life holds fast.
Newfound joys spring from bleakest past.

Let's rebuild life from broken dreams,
Where life restarts with each new spring,
the snows will melt to feed fresh streams.

Like this land, my passion runs free.
Walls have come down with earnest words.
My unblinded eyes now see.

I ask for your hand without ounce of gold,
or shiny stones dug from filthy earth.
My eternal love cannot be bought or sold.

Under peaks reborn of volcanic scars,
In night's serene and starkest silence,
I pledge love to outlast the multitude of stars.

Solitude I turn from on this ride.
Today and tomorrow let's walk in stride.
Promise to be my utopian bride.

Lingering light dwindles among the horizon
Twilight fades with a farewell from the sun
Shadows disappear as stars sprinkle the sky
with the moon illuminating those who walk by
Woods appear so much more ominous at night
silent blackness causing an overwhelming fright
Trees are like charcoal – inky blankets all around
as nocturnal animals hunt without making a sound
Country paths seem lifeless in the eerie dark
occasionally disturbed by a guard dog’s bark
Temperatures fall with the mid winter freeze
people feel the chill with the cold air breeze
Day light sneaks in as the sun begins to rise
the moon and stars hide away in disguise
Patiently waiting for the darkness to reappear
so they can play again, when humans disappear.

Behold in pitch black the silent phantom I seek
wanders through the crevices to take a silent peek
its pallid face behind a ghostly purple veil
one must wonder if it is from this world or Hell
Icy the winds in this slow creeping winter scene
moonlight returns, with its golden glorious preen
standing aghast, my heart shutters skipping a beat
A glimpse seen of hideous claws on phantom's feet
Never shall I again this forbidden place tread
I have discovered that its creatures are all dead
Finding in Nature such horror was not my goal
Now silent terrors grip this my unblinded soul
Lo! One can not unsee such darkness and despair
As in this growing gloom, phantom flies through the air
I search for a return path to make my way home
swearing to never again onto this path roam.

Unblinded

Unblinded
By Michael Williams

It seems wherever I end up going,
everything is hidden, nothing showing.
No one sees, no one knows,
just how this story goes.

Not a care, not a worry,
everyone is in such a hurry.
Too busy to stop, too busy to see,
what has become of me.

Self-hatred and denial are my tools,
no one knows me, they are fools.
Deceiving them all is my game,
I do this and feel no shame.

Filling all my lustful needs,
sewing and planting my deviant seeds
caring not about the shame,
just causing extensive pain.

What is this I think I see?
It’s the Lord, looking down at me.
The look I see in his eye,
is enough to make me cry.

Ashamed of who I’ve become,
of who I’ve hurt, and what I’ve done.
I don’t like who I am,
I don’t feel like much of a man.

Help me Lord, hear my plea,
I can’t stand what has become of me.
I’m tired of the sorrow; I’m tired of the shame,
I’m tired of this hurtful game.

Help me Lord, for I can see,
there is nothing you won’t do for me.
Give me the chance to start again,
I know I can live free from sin!

My Sweet Lullaby

I craved for a moonlight dance,
When I once freed my rotten desires.
Longing for a warm hand,
I set the music for a classic waltz.

Into the rhythm I submit,
Swaying around my empty space
I lift a burden caged for a time
An irreversible smile has now sprung.

Farther and farther I dived
My closed windows welcomed the sun
My dark rooms opened their doors
I unblinded the breathing cloaked in me.

And so I watched me dancing on my own
Freeing my sleeping memories
I danced and woke to my amusing disguise
To what I call my sweet lullaby.

A Lover's Vision

A mettle rusted, made with custom stale,
My talent’s sheen with circulation’s passed;
A faultless ace in one’s own face may fail,
So truth in beauty, beauty truth are cast.
A work upon a hundredth scan grows old,
And each successive glance does dim the gleam;
My words, gems precious wrought, are costly sold,
Once sharp, now blunt; my eyes false diamonds deem.
But in this view, I’m happily reminded
That through your pictured lens I’m tempered fresh;
Your iris heralds me to me unblinded,
A rainbow filter smelting steeling mesh.
This old sword’s new when in your gaze I’m eyed:
All else, say else; know not no naught they’ve lied.

In the Book of My New Chapter

This is where I go
The land so far away
I found myself lost each time
Hanging to nothingeach day

In my dreams, I hide
In my mind, i cry
In my heart, i hope
For a better tomorrow in my life

And there opened a door
A Door only my eyes can see
Unblinded by illusions
The World I Saw Finally

There will be no ending to my life
When there is hopes each time I fell
In the book of my new chapter, i will write
A new story, a story of myself

Definition of Worship

Yesterday, I felt her foundation
give way, nearly swept away
I began swimming in unfamiliar
territory, hurriedly, as emotions
 tugged on me.

I gave in, falling into her viscosity,
felt my re-birth, & I asked the Lord
 was this how worship felt?
She usurped my soul.
Heaven ensued
I felt the breaking of molecules
then euphoria,
my body couldn't move

Eyes unblinded,
finally realizing man's mandate
A whitewash of sorts
Love her as He loves a Trinity
Who wouldn't remain
in the matrix for a love like this?

Could miracles be separated
that simply?
The dissolution of his and hers
forming a new compound
of a two lettered word
spending time - In God We trust
adding an L and T to that word of us

Working backwards from infinity
Today, I saw Jesus moonwalking
towards my revelation as subatomic
activity began dismantling
what every man should be pursuing
On your mark, get set, praise
I remain unashamed

The sun smiles a greeting at me
I meet his wan rays graciously
unblinded, unbowed
unblinking --
I hold the cards now
in December
the sun's played his hand --
Pale, absent fire
he slips
inconspicuously
below the horizon

The Dark, The Mysteries Within Mankind's Sleeping Interludes

What of life in this raging spinning world?
Its stabbing pains, mouths filled with sad dust?
Those almost unbreakable binding chains?
We, the unblinded few, the hopeful brave
Dare we , can we that, will we ever save?

In the trembles of midnight's rambling stomps
Sleeping souls dance into resplendent dreams
Through a flowing myriad of avenues;
Entering realms of beckoning desires
Mindless, heedless of the flaming hot fires!
Wading streams of new welcoming degrees
Ever onward, towards eternal sea
Unrelenting, as heart such new scenes cast
Unaware, soon dawn's light will all that blast.

Dust and dying ground mix to stir anew
Schemes that are part of mortal flesh and blood
In black caverns, echoing , echoing
The fears, uncertainty brought by day's light
Now swimming in growing absence of night.

The dreaded pitfalls of much needed sleep.
Wherein we must wake up to our lives keep.

R J. Lindley, April 3rd 1973
Rhyme, ( Staring into the ever dooming abyss- a flash of thought )

Old Note: 1973
Woke. And a dream lingered. Its message sad and dark.
Daylight bringing in the words more clear.
What had both Poe and Raven spoke?-
"O'yes-- Remember, remember- this ravenous fear!"

New Note: 2021
"O'yes-- Remember, remember- this ravenous fear!"

Consolation

I remember when we used to be so care free,
now it seems like we live on our knees.

What happened to the love and joy we once had?,
refusing to believe that it was some kind of fad.

We both know what we had was real,
Where did it go? Where's that raw feel?

A feel of untainted connection,
unblinded by pure affection.

Not clouded by others opinion,
to have control over our hearts dominion.

I know I've lost sight of what brought us together,
wanting it so bad and have it forever.

Causing so much destruction lost in myself,
giving the impression that I'm damaged beyond help.

Finally after years of my heart and mind being adrift,
enough of this confusion, it's time for a shift.

Not just for me, but for the ones I love,
the one who is reading this knows whom I speak of.

My spirit can only express consolation for what you've gone through,
something that has been lost between us, so rare yet so true.

Anger and frustration that harbors in your heart I understand,
wanting to release it forever a pain that was never planned.

The pain I feel is that I miss you and our daughter,
missing out on being a husband and father.

I know I can't fix everything but I know that I can try,
How long till I receive your love? When will that time draw nigh?

Looking never found

Looking Never Found.

When did the searching start ?
Perhaps at the very first beat,
of an innocent, uncorrupted, heart.

Perhaps a dark nights lullaby rhyme?
When the seekers eyes, were unblinded,
or in that soothing voice counting time.

Maybe in that sunlights far flung view?
Looking for vague external questions,
to quench a thirst, raw and bitter to you.

Maybe waves of goodbye clenched in fists?
That well hidden dwell, deep in your soul,
you persist to bind chains, just can't resist.
